HOW TO CHECK FOR COVID-19 ANTIGEN RAPID TEST

Materials :

Steps :
1. The patient is invited to sit in the prepared place
2. Hold the buffer bottle vertically and fill the extraction tube with buffer fluid until
it flows up to the fill-line of the extraction tube
3. Place the extraction tube in the tube rack
4. Tilt the patient’s head back, insert the swab trough the nostril, gently rub and
roll the swab 3-4 times and then leave the swab in place for several secends.
After that slowly remove swab.
5. Insert the swab specimen in the extraction tube. Swirl the swab tip in the buffer
fluid inside the extraction tube, pushing into the wall of the extraction tube at
least 5 times and the squeeze out the swab by squeezing the extraction tube
with your fingers.
6. Break the swab at breakpoint and close the cap of extraction tube
7. Open the dropping nozzle cap at the bottom of the extraction tube
8. Dispense 5 drops of extracted specimens vertically into the specimen well on the
device. Do not handle or move the test device until the test is complete and
ready fo reading.
9. Close the nozzle and dispose of the extraction tube containing the used swab
according to your local regulation and biohazard waste disposal protocol.
10.Start timer, read result at 15 minutes, then dispose of the used device according
to your local regulation and biohazard waste disposal protocol.

Test Interpretation :
 If the indicator line only shows 1 line, namely line C, it means the result is
NEGATIVE
 If the indicator line shows 2 lines, namely line C and line T, it means the
result is POSITIVE
 However, if the indicator line does not show a line at all or only a test line (T),
it means the result is INVALID
1. Pasien dipersilahkan duduk di tempat yang telah disiapkan
2. Pegang botol penyangga secara vertikal dan isi tabung ekstraksi
dengan cairan penyangga sampai mengalir ke garis pengisian tabung
ekstraksi
3. Tempatkan tabung ekstraksi di rak tabung
4. Miringkan kepala pasien ke belakang, masukkan swab melalui
lubang hidung, gosok perlahan dan gulung swab 3-4 kali kemudian
biarkan swab di tempatnya selama beberapa detik. Setelah itu
lepaskan swab secara perlahan.
5. Masukkan spesimen swab ke dalam tabung ekstraksi. Putar ujung
swab dalam cairan buffer di dalam tabung ekstraksi, tekan ke dalam
dinding tabung ekstraksi setidaknya 5 kali dan peras swab dengan
meremas tabung ekstraksi dengan jari-jari Anda.
6. Pecahkan swab di breakpoint dan tutup tutup tabung ekstraksi
7. Buka tutup nozzle yang jatuh di bagian bawah tabung ekstraksi
8. Teteskan 5 tetes spesimen yang diekstraksi secara vertikal ke dalam
sumur spesimen pada perangkat. Jangan pegang atau pindahkan
perangkat uji sampai pengujian selesai dan siap untuk dibaca.
9. Tutup nozzle dan buang tabung ekstraksi yang berisi swab bekas
sesuai dengan peraturan setempat dan protokol pembuangan limbah
biohazard.
10. Mulai timer, baca hasil pada 15 menit, lalu buang perangkat bekas
sesuai dengan peraturan setempat dan protokol pembuangan limbah
biohazard.

Interpretasi Tes:
• Jika garis indikator hanya menunjukkan garis kendali (C), berarti
hasilnya NEGATIF
• Jika garis indikator menunjukkan garis kendali (C), dan garis uji (T),
berarti hasilnya POSITIF
• Namun jika garis indikator tidak menunjukkan garis sama sekali
atau hanya garis tes (T), berarti hasilnya INVALID
