1. Introduction 

6‐FMX  front‐access  valve‐regulated  lead‐acid  battery  of  “Shoto”  brand  is  designed  for  the  service  with  high 
requirements. Since its grid is made of special multi‐element alloy. The cell has a longer deep cycle life and a 
better discharge performance being a preferential solution for high‐class UPS. This series is of a narrow and 
long structure with a proportion of length to width up 3.59i<<5.00, therefore it has an excellent performance 
in  heat  dissipation  reducing  greatly  the  possible  thermal  runaway.  With  the  front  terminal  design  for  the 
connection with external circuit and the available of different connection bars, the battery cab be mounted 
and  dismounted  easily  and  quickly  lowering  the  cost  of  maintenance.  The  product  is  suitable  for  service 
telecom, UPS, power plant, transformer substation, control system, microwaves relay station, remote sensing 
device, energy storage of solar/wind power generator. 

2. Product  Characteristics 
o Output terminal of low resistance: a cooper core  is inlaid in terminal, connected through bolt, easy installation; 
o Perfect sealing of post: unique structure of triple sealing (patent: ZL 02 2 20024.X) to totally prevent the acid leakage. 
o Safety valve (patent: ZL 02 2 41118.0): with reliable and stable open and close pressure; 
o Grid (patent: ZL 01 2 72477.7): is made of special multi‐element alloy to ensure the long life of the battery; 
o Advanced case an d lid heat sealing technology (patent: ZL 02 2 19847.4) to ensure the reliable seal of the battery. 
o Battery  case  (patent:  ZL02333602.,ZL02333603.X):  is  made  of  high‐strength  ABS  to  effectively  ensure  the  vibration 
proof of the battery; 
o Separator:  is  made  of  low‐resistance  ultra‐fine  fiberglass  (patent:  ZL  01  1  27020.9)  to  ensure  gas  recombination 
efficiency reaches above 99%. 
o Handle is mounted on all cells for easy handling. 
o Floating service life under normal operation at 25°C would be 15 years.
