Moon café was established in Guadalupe by a group of artist in 2007. When the business was on the rocks,the owners decided to sell it to the Pages Holdings Inc. The café was purchased for Php700,000 and renovation cost around Php3 million. Moon café is currently one of the most flourishing restaurant in Cebu and is gradually conquering the rest of the Philippines. Moon café is synonymous with Cebu. They serve a Mexican inspired food, but don’t expect a full traditional Mexican food though, it’s more local food with a bit of Mexican twist. Moon café is known for its delectable choices of food and drinks, plus attractive ambiance. Because of their tasty food and refreshing drinks Moon café won a lot of awards, Most Promising Retailer of the Year at the 2010 Outstanding Filipino Retailers Cebu search awards. Its yummy Suncooler also received the Ayala Malls Customers Top picks award for the coffee and cocktails category. In 2009, Moon Café became available for franchise, grabbing the interest of a lot of entrepreneurs. From their first restaurant in Guadalupe, they now have branches in IT Park, Ayala Terrces, Park Mall, Robinsons Cybergate, Gaisano Grand Mall Mactan, Insular Square Mall, and Shopwise. Outside in Cebu, you can find them at Robinson’s Place and Siliman Avenue, Dumaguete; SM city Southpoint, Iloilo City; Robinsons Mall, Cagayan De Oro;Rizal Avenue, Ozamis City; Abreeza Mall, Davao City; Gaisano Capital Riverside, Leyte; Robinsons Mall, Bacolod. More branches are expected to open in the coming years
