First and the most all praise and thanks are for the Lord of all that exists. And after that
thanks to my university for given me this chance to see the outside world and partici-
pate in it as an intern and also thanks for the general manager of HH Consulting Archi-
tecture & Engineering PLC Architect Hailemichael Solomon. And last but not the least
thanks for may supervisors Bereket Bekele and Brook........ if it would’ve not been for
their genuine support and corporation, it would’ve been difficult to conduct this intern-
ship program.
EXECUTIVE SUMMERY
This internship report covers the two month activities held in HH Consulting Architecte
and Engineering plc.

I have been involved in several tasks which were forwarded to me in order to accom-
plish. I believe due to thise varity of tasks i have provided an insight how the office and
construction world works. Gaining the knowledge and experience of architectural scale
designs, working drawings, writing reports and preparing presentations have given me
the chance to experience the professional aspect of what it takes to be an architect.

The report is mainly prepared to provide an in-depth view over the two months pres-
ence at HH Consulting Architecte and Engineering plc and the overall knowledge I get
through the internship program.

On two months presence at the company, I have studied the work flow of the projects,
different working tasks and procedures used in the construction process and design
processes that enabled me to look out further rather than my formal education. And this
helped me to improve my communication skill, theoretical knowledge, practical skills
,ability to take responsibilities and management skills.

HH Consulting, Architects & Engineers PLC is a category I
professional firm founded in 2011. Since its inception the firm
has demonstrated excellence in all aspects of Architectural
Design, Urban Design, Construction Engineering, Construction
Management, Supervision and Contract Administration works
under the name of Hailemichael Solomon.
HH Consulting, Architects & Engineers PLC is a firm of Consulting Architects and
Engineers headquartered in Addis Ababa, Bole sub-city, and Worda 04, House Number:
201-203, with project offices at various regions. Our commitment, to in-house quality,
schedule and cost controls, has strengthened our firm's rapport with our clients. In fact,
the majority of our projects are commissioned by previous satisfied clients or their
referrals.
The multifaceted and extensive experience of our staff members which most of them
are founders of the firm, and affiliates in Urban Planning, Engineering Works, Architec-
tural Design and Construction Management is making our firm, HH CONSULTING
ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS PLC one of the prominent consulting firms in the
country.
HH Consulting Architects & Engineers PLC hasprogressively evolved as a recognized
consulting firm, providing services in planning, architecture, engineering design, con-
struction management and supervision. The firm has been providing multi – disci-
plinary consulting services to public governmental and private organizations in a wide
range of engineering works.
HH Consulting Architects & Engineers PLC’s achievements in the diverse areas of
specialized engineering services, supervision of works and construction management
are reflected in its record of completed projects and satisfied clients. To-date the firm
has to its credit the undertaking of numerous multi-disciplinary consulting engineering
activities for projects.

1.5 REGISTRATION
HH consulting Architects & Engineers PLC is a Private Limited Company registered
Ministry of Works and Urban Development under Category I. The company is regis-
tered with the ministry of Finance and Economic Development as consultancy service
provider for government organizations (Registration number BL/AA/2/0008997/2007).
It is also a VAT (value added tax) registered Firm (Refer to the legal documents
attached at the end of this section) and the Ministry of Works & Urban Development
(MoWUD) and works on Architectural, Urban Planning, Urban Design and Engineer-
ing projects. The office has Five-room office at Z Building, Addis Ababa. Besides, it
has full IT facilities including 16 Personal Computers, 5 Laptop computers, DLP pro-
jector, A3 and A4 Laser jet printers, one color multi-use fax machine and scanner; Blue
print Machine, A1 Plotter Machine. These facilities are brought together in order to
facilitate the efficiency of the firm’s services as HH Consulting Architects & Engineers
PLC.

and Private Buildings, and Cost efficient building construction system.
Preparation of Bidding Documents and Bid Evaluation, and Construction Supervi-
sion.
2. Urban Development Studies:
Regional /Sub Regional Scale
Physical setting and resource profile, Population, Economic structure, Social
services, Infrastructure, Environment, and Spatial linkage patterns.
Urban Studies: Housing, Road Network and Transport, Urban Land Use and
Management, Social Aspects, Urban Economy, Urban Finance, Physical Infrastructure,
Environment, Hydrogeology, Energy Source and Supply, and Urban Governance/Man-
agement.
Under this major task area there are specific services that include but not limited to the

and Urban Development and works on Architectural, Urban Planning, Urban Design
and Engineering projects. The office has seven-room office at Z Building, Addis
