When we describing, writers use many noun


phrases in trying to make readers get the mental
picture of what is being described.
Noun is a thing, a place, an animal or a person . An
adjective is a word that describes a noun is called
modifier . A noun that goes with modifier is called
a noun phrase.
beautiful bird = beautiful bird (noun phrase)l

bright stars = bright stars

proboscis monkey = proboscis monkey
