heroes. Another special thing about my new diary is that it has a lock to keep the
diary,s secret .On the first page, there is a beautiful poem .The poet tells about the
importance of keeping memories. It says " bad memories are to learn and good
memories are to entertain". I believe .the poem. It encourages me to keep a diary. By
doing so, I love .I can improve my English.

1. The purpose of Descriptive text :
 To describe certain property or things (menggambarkan benda tertentu)
 To describe certain persons in detail ( Menjelaskan orang tertentu)
 To explain certain animals in detail ( mendeskripsikan binatang tertentu)
 To describe a particular place (menjelaskan tempat tertentu)

2. The generic structure of Deskriptive text is :

1. Identification
= Introduction what / who / where is the subject being described.
2. Description
= The supporting part of the paragraph is to describe in detail, to assist the
readers to see and feel the subject. Such as:
1) Particuler property or thing ( color, model, size, use, Etc)
2) Certain person (Identity, appearance, education, career, experience, life)
3) A certain animal ( part of the body, size, food, habitat, characteristic)
4) A particular place ( location, way to find, facility, interesting thing)

3. Descriptive text can describe :

 Famous or popular persons. (Orang terkenal)
 Success persons. (Orang sukses)
 Tour objects. (Tempat rekreasi)
