Emancipation

Proclamation
the emancipation proclamation was declared by president
abraham Lincoln on january 1, 1863 which declared that all
persons held slaves shall be free in the south this caused the
south to break apart from the north and become the
confederates states of america leaving the north as the union.
the slaves that were free then began to join the union army the
south then surrendered to the north after this they signed the
13 amandment that abolished slavery everywhere
