High and Irregular frequency Time -series System(HITS). Hits is a database framework for
efficient storage and retrieval of very high volume time-series data. It is currently used to
store equities tick -by-tick data. As of December 2008. We are storing approximately 4
Billion records per typically day in HITS and expect this number to increase. More than 6
Billion records were collected during collected during days when markets were most active.
Collects data in real-time with a global scope for all instruments, quotes/trades, and
relevant flags options, cash instruments and futures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Historical data storage limited only by available disk space.
