1. What are the characteristics of Chinese art? How are these

shown in Chinese paintings?

One of the most remarkable features of Chinese art is how well it

mirrors the changing social structure throughout Chinese history. It
combines music, art, and literature, and is distinguished by its
distinctive facial makeup, superb acrobatics, and regional variations.
Chinese painting is split into three types: people, landscapes, and birds-
and-flowers. In a specific Chinese picture, you can see that they are
mostly rectangular and quite lengthy. Because Chinese paintings
usually reflect nature, they always show a forest, mountain, or body of
water. It has waterfalls, bamboo plants, long grasslands, enormous
boulders, and towering trees. Like Chinese calligraphy, the character of
Chinese painting is tightly linked to the medium. The fundamental
material is ink, which is rubbed to the necessary consistency on an
inkstone with a little water.

Nature was definitely regarded an art form, and they used it as a means
to display art. More than anything else, cave paintings depicting
religious festivals and rituals demonstrate that humans may discover
ways to enjoy nature more than anything else. Spanish art has made
significant contributions to Western art, and Spain has produced a
number of well-known and influential painters, such as Velázquez,
Goya, and Picasso, among others. A major area of Spain was a center
for Celtic art throughout the Iron Age, and Iberian sculpture has a
particular style that was inspired by coastal Greek communities, as well
as other influences.

3. To what period does the classicism belong?

The Classicism was used in the 1700s to designate the arts and culture
of ancient Greece and Rome. Classicism is the application of these
ancient civilisations' ideals to art, architecture, and literature. The
Classical era spans the Baroque and Romantic eras. Classical music is
more refined in form than Baroque music. But counterpoint was not
lost in liturgical vocal music and subsequently secular instrumental
music, notably in liturgical vocal music and secular instrumental
music. Instead of the Baroque's dignified seriousness and magnificent
grandeur, it uses style galant. The orchestra grew in size, range, and
strength, increasing the orchestra's variety and contrast within a
composition.

and historical and cultural context. Even during Pre-Colonial Period,
there was a vibrant cultural exchange between the Philippines and
other Asian nations because to migration and trade. Philippines
developed its own culture, including ceramics, weaving, wood carving
and jewelry making as a result of this.

5. What are some common elements in Philippine and Japanese art?

Philippine art, like Japanese art, is characterized by an appreciation for

the "natural," such as the natural shape of bamboo or the natural colors
and patterns in the wood, among other things. Japan and the
Philippines share a lot of similarities when it comes to art, including
painting, calligraphy, ceramics, sculpting, and ink painting, among
other things. Additionally, carvings of the anitos (nature gods) and
sculptures are among the most popular types of woodcarving. It is true
that sculpture in both nations has changed over time, particularly in
terms of shape, scale, and media employed.

6. How was music and oral literature part of the social life of the early
Filipinos?

For the earliest Filipinos, music and oral literature played an important
role in their social lives. Music is widely recognized as having the "most
global" appeal and acceptance due to its attraction and acceptance
across all cultures. The progress of music, manifested in many forms
and artistic subtleties, has been seen by the whole Philippine society
over the course of history. A significant role in Filipino culture is the
celebration or commemoration of significant milestones in the human
life cycle. Fortunately, these rich indigenous musical traditions have
survived to the present day. They serve as a constant reminder of the
great history of musical skill and inventiveness among the Filipinos.
