Biohazard sign – biohazard

This lesson will teach you how to make this symbol:

1. First, create a circle. Holding Shift and using the Elipse tool

draw a circle. Choose any color in the Swatches window to
color your circle.

2. Now make the circle a little smaller and place it like in the
picture below. In the picture, it is marked in bright red so that
you can distinguish them.
3. Select both circles. (to do this, using the Direct Selection
tool, first click on one circle, and then with the Shift key
pressed on the other). In the Pathfinder window (if you don't
have one go to Window<Pathfinder or just Shift+F9) select
the Divide option.

Right click on selected objects, select "Ungroup". Deselect the

circles and delete all objects except for the one shown below:
4. Select the resulting shape and rotate it 45 degrees
clockwise. To make it easy, hold Shift and turn it to the
left. (use the Free Transform tool)

5. Copy this shape two times and rotate each one as above.
(To copy go to Edit<Copy and then Edit<Paste) Place them as
shown below.

6. Now we make a ring. We can do it in the same way as in

the 3rd paragraph, only the second circle should be placed not
on the edge but in the center.
7. Position the ring in the center of our symbol.

8. Create another small circle in the center of the symbol

(bright red in the picture). Select the entire symbol and the
small circle. Use the Divide option to make a hole in the
middle. (don't forget to remove the parts you don't need,
otherwise you won't be able to make a hole)
9. Everything! Now you can use this method to create other
interesting characters.
