Answer ALL questions. Write your answers in the spaces provided in this booklet. Do NOT write in the margins. Where appropriate, ALL WORKING MUST BE SHOWN in this booklet. You may use 4 silent, non-programmable calculator to answer questions. If you need to rewrite any answer and there is not enough space to do so onthe | original page, You must use the extra lined page(s) provided at the back of this booklet. Remember to draw a line through your original answer, Ifyou use the extra page(s) you MUST write the question number clearly in the box provided at the top of the extra page(s) and, where relevant, include the question part beside the answer. DO NOT spend more than 30 minutes on Question 1. (a) Michael and Jennifer were assigned a group project to investigate the effect of surface area on the rate of reaction between zine metal (Zn) and dilute sulfuric aeid (H,80,). They obtained six different grades of granulated zinc. The grades represent the average size of the radius {in microns, pm) of the granules. Six experiments were carried out using the different grades of zinc granules which were reacted with an excess of 0.5 mol dm” dilute sulfuric acid at 25 °C. The same mass, 0.55 g of zine granules was used in all experiments and the time taken to collect 100 em” of hydrogen gas was noted as shown in Table 1 on page 6. pe Nor TRRC HS REAL!
