Paragraph

A paragraph is a unit of writing where thoughts and ideas of a


particular topic or theme are expressed . The purpose of a paragraph
is to express a speaker’s thoughts on a particular topic in a clear way.
Paragraph should evolve around one particular idea. Mixing of
thoughts and ideas is prohibited . A proper structure must be
maintained to make the paragraph perfect .

A Sentence that contain the whole topic of the paragraph is the topic
sentence

3 Concluding Sentences
The sentence that draws conclusion to the paragraph is called concluding
sentences

A good concluding sentence must have the ability to :

Summarize the key point and restate the main idea


Explain the significance of the supporting sentences
Unifies paragraph content with topic sentence and thesis statement
