Introduction

Sea fishing in Dakhla is one of the growth sectors of the economy of

the Dakhla Oued Eddahab region. It ranks first, followed by the
agriculture and tourism sectors. Indeed, the region shows all the signs of
modernity. It benefits from a variety of structural projects around
fisheries, which is the backbone of the regional economy.

This promising region has a coastline of almost 667 km on the Atlantic

with a bay of 400 km2. It is considered to be the most fish-rich in the
Kingdom, with waters containing 65% of the national fishing potential.

This is favored by the trade winds from the north, which are at the origin
of the phenomenon called upwelling. Due to the revival of cold waters,
the region's fishing fauna is thus varied.

By implementing a new development model in the region, projects

aiming to enhance the value of seafood are being carried out to the tune
of 1.2 billion dirhams for:

The production of pelagic fish,

The creation of a competitive seafood hub,
The development of aquaculture,

fishing villages.

so since my internship is carried out in dakhla I joined this domain for a

period of one month in commercial service .

King Pelagique S. A. is a pelagic company with headquarters in the

fishing port of Dakhla, Morocco , a very important port for pelagic.
King Pelagique S.A. is part of a fishing Moroccan group with more than
20 years of experience in the market, joint with an Irish consortium. The
excellent location of the company, just a few miles from one of the
richest fishing grounds on earth, gives King Pelagique S.A. not only the
advantage for the maintenance of high quality in all our products, but
the possibility of having our vessels to discharge almost everyday,
satisfying the quality requested and the quantity of orders. there main
products are Sardine (Pilchard walbum), Mackerel (Scombrus Colias)
and Horse Mackerel (Tracharus Tracharus), and we work with local
canneries.

King pelagique is a group in fisheries sector, with more than 20 years of

experience, covering the entire value chain: from our RSW fishing
vessels, to the processing of the fish in our facilities.

3
The tasks performed during this internship

My internship in the sales department consisted mainly in the marketing

department

My internship supervisor being a sales manager, I was able to learn the

following knowledge under excellent conditions:

sales and merchandising techniques;

management;

management;

local economy;

During this internship, I had the opportunity to discover a profession in

all its forms and to understand in a holistic way the difficulties that
salespeople could encounter in the exercise of the profession. For a
better understanding of the tasks that I was able to perform, it seems
appropriate to deal first with the tools that were made available to me,
then to deal in detail with the tasks that I was able to perform.

During this internship, I spent most of my time in contact and hanging

out with customers. As I learned, my research deepened. It was therefore
only from the month of my internship that I was truly operational, due to
my better mastery in the

sales techniques and customer relations as well as customer portfolio
management.

During this internship, different kinds of activities were assigned to me:

• prospect and retain available customers

• conduct negotiations for new contracts
• identify market developments and the company's positioning in this market
• improve my sales techniques

During my internship, I was able to perform two tasks which are in the
sales department but not in my department. Since they have enabled me
to learn different aspects of being a sales manager who brings together
the management of all sales departments, it seems appropriate to dwell
on them. These are the management of human resources and strategic
management:

- HRM: like all management practices, with the objective of mobilizing

and developing human resources, in order to obtain greater productivity
and better quality of work.

- strategic management: is the continuous planning, monitoring,

analysis and evaluation of all the necessities that an organization needs
to achieve its goals and objectives.

Conclusion

By way of conclusion, it seems interesting to highlight the current

questions which arise on the future of the maritime sector, to know how
the economic actors will do ?. At the center of this question is naturally
the problem of ... new competitors in this market and natural
phenemones and especially in dakhla. Indeed, my internship was very
beneficial in this regard.

To conclude, I did my introductory internship as an intern in commercial

service for the maritime market in Dakhla within the company King
Pelagique. During this one-month internship, I was able to put into
practice my theoretical knowledge acquired during my training and
faced the difficulties of the world of work and team management

Building on this experience and in response to its challenges, I would

very much like to try and orient myself towards a future internship in the
maritime sector with international players, and a significant
development in terms of innovation.
