Reflection for Final Project

During my experience for the final project, it was very collaborative and a learning
experience. For me, as a member of the group, it was my first time to meet and collaborate with
my batch mates even though we already knew each other in previous classes. Given this set up,
it was a great opportunity for me to collaborate, discuss, and share ideas with other members for
our final project. During the preparation process, all of us were able to meet and discuss via
Zoom and Google Meet regarding the guidelines and our plans for the final project. During the
meeting, we decided to conduct a structured interview with an HR representative of an
organization. Therefore, we had to formulate structured interview questions according to our
assigned topic which was HR Acquisitions.

Once we had our first draft of interview questions, we were concerned regarding the
questions we had formulated for our interview, and we thought it needed to be improved.
Therefore, we, as a group, decided to have our first consultation with Dr. Steffi regarding our
interview questions for professional assistance and further improvements. After our consultation
with Dr. Steffi, we had to make some revisions and update our sets of interview questions. Also,
we had to include interview questions regarding turnover rates of particular job positions in the
organization, specific assessment methods of candidates, their HR recruitment policies, the HR’s
internal departments, and other additional questions. Therefore, we were able to finalize our sets
of interview questions and divided them into 3 categories: (1) Background of the organization
(JPRSC); (2) Internal HR Recruitment; and (3) External HR Recruitment. Given the preparation
we had for our interview, we were able to schedule on September 27, 2021 for a virtual interview
with Ms. Reyn Aguilando, the HR Account Manager of JPRSC.

On September 27, 2021, all of us attended early and prepared for the virtual interview.
We were able to ask the interview questions and recorded statements of the interviewee.
However, during the interview, it was very challenging yet a fun experience since some of us had
a hard time writing every statement of the interview due to internet connection and low quality
audio. Despite these, we were able to help each other in writing and recording the statements of
the interviewee. Moreover, we had to ask additional questions during the virtual interview since
there were some statements that were unclear and needed to be clarified. Also, we asked
additional questions due to more information, especially background checks, recruitment
policies, employment examinations, KPIs, basis for employee promotions, and other related
additional information. After the interview, we immediately gathered the information and
analysed the results based on our respective subtopics of HR Acquisitions given the remaining
day before final submission. Afterwards, we were able to finish the presentation and script for
the final presentation on October 4, 2021.

Overall, all the hard work and challenges that we faced in accomplishing our final project
have paid off and something that we all could be proud of since we put more effort and find ways
in finishing the project, even in unfavourable conditions. Despite our presentation may lack

some information and details, we managed to pull it off by helping with one another in achieving
our objectives, accomplishing our delegated tasks, and establishing a harmonious relationship
among group members.
