how BugendaiTech can expand globally with the implementation of salesforce, also include how
salesforce works in six countries and which are the major companies that use salesforce and its
products. Furthermore, the project will also include the challenges BugendaiTech is currently
facing in India, Canada, and USA.

INTRODUCTION
Objective of the project
The project aims to study the commercial, or cultural experience in a different nation or location
and obtaining and integrating information, skills, and competences from many business settings.
It also aims to understand the different aspects which an organization faces, expands, and carries
out their business activities. Also, what challenges would BugendaiTech be facing when they
expand into different regions with the implementation of salesforce.

Scope of the project

With the increase in the fintech industry and the rise in evolving automation, there has also been
an increase in businesses expanding internationally. In view of this situation, the study analyzes
international expansion and the problems relating to the same for a recent startup in the US,
BugendaiTech. The scope of the study is to evaluate six countries, first three being where
BugendaiTech operates originally and the next three being where BugendaiTech can expand
into.

6
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The world tends to seem smaller over time as technology advances in communication,
transportation, and financial integration. Because of advancements in international commerce,
corporations and consumers may conduct business in practically every country on the planet.
BugendaiTech being a recent start-up,
established in United States, Canada, and
India, is looking to expand more in
different regions. Currently they
are planning to expand in the
UAE.

By default, international marketing is conservative. Each country is an independent political

entity in its own right. As a result, there may be a variety of constraints in worldwide marketing.
These limitations are primarily intended to defend local sectors from foreign competition and to
limit trade in certain goods. The longer time period required due to longer transit times and
lengthier credit periods, huge volume, and high value of transactions, and considerably less
understanding about foreign enterprises' reputation and trustworthiness, international marketing
entails a higher level of risk than domestic marketing.
The issues they commonly face is communication between employees as the employees are
scattered around the three remote centres they work from. Another issue is of the implementation
of the salesforce products and generating leads in new countries.
When looking to expand in different regions, the cultural aspect as well as the language barrier is
one of the main hassles that any business faces nowadays.
Aiming to promote your business to worldwide clients without conducting research is a ticket for
failure, as corporations have proven over and over again. In international marketing, it is critical
to take into account a culture's ideas and biases. Developing relationships and connecting with
other firms in the country are critical for the development of a rising international brand.
Partnerships within the targeted audience assist new businesses in positioning themselves in
markets where they might otherwise go ignored

7
LITERATURE REVIEW
International Business Expansion
When it comes to international expansion, many firms believe that the only way to reach their
worldwide aim is to establish their own organization in another country. It is true that forming an
organization may be the ideal option if a corporation is creating infrastructure and has long-term
goals for the country.
International markets grow and fall independently of domestic markets on a regular basis. When
local sales are down or your consumer base is shrinking, you may be able to locate new buyers
and sell well abroad.
When domestic expansion prospects are exhausted, organizations look to global expansion to
help them grow. For many businesses, foreign growth provides an opportunity to explore new
markets and get access to millions of potential clients, resulting in increased revenue.
Selling overseas is difficult, but there are many of options available if you are ready to put in the
time and money. Market entrance strategy, which includes important decisions on key markets of
emphasis, target customer and channel strategy, resource allocation, product and service value
offers, brand positioning, and the design of an operating model, are all part of an international
growth plan. A good market penetration strategy provides the most appropriate and effective use
of company resources, assisting businesses in their growth.
One of the disadvantages of simply running in one region is that you will be restricted in the
number of employees you can recruit, especially if your firm is focused on a certain specialty.
When your company grows to foreign markets, you have more opportunities to hire fresh talent,
such as employing employees with a wide range of talents, market expertise, and language
abilities who can better enhance your brand's message. Growing your organization worldwide
may help you expand significantly by exposing your product or service to a new audience,
therefore increasing your client base and income. Additionally, it contributes to your marketing
efforts since consumers and prospective clients begin to recognize your company as a worldwide
brand.
Let us now look into the international markets and their challenges where BugendaiTech can
implement its Salesforce services and where BugendaiTech already operate in.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Company’s origin country being United States - For tech businesses, United States is one of the
most desirable locations. The US market is huge, diversified, and has a long history of being a
technological leader. The benefits of a strong US presence may be quite satisfying. In relation to
market potential in the United States, creating and retaining market share in the United States
may help you preserve technological superiority and market dominance in your domestic market.
Swot Analysis of US Market [1]
Strengths
• The world's most powerful economy. The GDP of the United States was $21.42 trillion in
2019. (World Bank, 2020). Many observers describe the country as a free market system,
whereas others see it as a mixed economy with aspects of both free market and
government involvement. [1]
• One of the most developed countries in the world, with cutting-edge infrastructure. It is
extremely difficult for any other country to compete with the United States in industries
such as information technology, aviation, medical research, and many others. [1]

Weakness
• Manufacturing items in the United States is one of the most expensive in the world. It
might have retained many of its manufacturing activities in the nation instead of
exporting them to other countries if the expenses were lower. [1]
• Health-care system that is prohibitively expensive. Health benefits are not provided by
the government to its inhabitants or tourists (MIT Medical, 2020). It is estimated that if a
person fractures his or her leg and stays in the hospital for three days, the cost will be
around $30,000. [1]

Opportunities
• Excellent potential to create new goods and services for sectors that rely heavily on
information and technology. The technology, pharmaceuticals, and financial services
industries in the United States, in particular, have a lot of opportunity for growth in order
to gain greater worldwide market share. [1]

9
• The United States may improve its worldwide reputation by mediating and settling
international problems. Dispute settlement should improve the country's moral standing
as well. [1]

Threats
• There are several rivals who pose a threat to the United States in a variety of fields. For
example, Russia is the world's most powerful rival in politics, while China is the most
powerful competitor in trade. [1]
• Consumers are becoming increasingly reliant on debt. In the second quarter of 2020,
millions of individuals will lose their employment. These staggering employment losses
indicate a gloomy turning point in the country's economic turmoil. [1]

Pestel Analysis
Political
Even if there have been recent obstacles, the country has a stable political atmosphere. It also has
a huge impact on the political dynamics of numerous countries all over the world. However, the
United States has been chastised internationally for some of its intrusive actions in other regions
of the world. As a result, for a long period of time, the country has been the first choice for many
international corporations seeking foreign investment. [3]
Economic
The economic environment is the next topic to cover in the PESTEL study of the US. In terms of
nominal GDP, the United States leads the globe. It is the country where multinational
corporations such as Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Subway, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Google, and
many more shape and lead global socioeconomic debates. The global economic environment is
quickly shifting, posing a challenge for the United States of America. The country is undeniably
a global economic giant. [3]
Social
With a population of around 332 million people, the United States is the world's third most
populous country. The United States of America is an extremely diversified country. By 2020,
almost one-third of all Americans will have African, Asian, Latina, or Native American heritage.
The school system, like the healthcare system, is among the greatest in the world.
Although the majority of people is liberal, the country has seen racial conflicts. [3]

10
Technological
In science and technology, the United States is the world's leader. Technology has long been a
source of interest for Americans. It has been at the forefront of technology adaptation and
application in a wide range of sectors. Many things have altered as a result of technological
advancements. Many employments have been migrated and industrial facilities have been
relocated from the United States to foreign nations. In the United States, technological process of
change happens at a fast pace. [3]
Environmental
The landscape, climate, and fauna of the United States are all incredibly different. This diversity,
along with other features like breathtaking natural wonders, attractive little towns, and bustling
metropolis, has drawn millions of tourists to the nation. However, the United States is subjected
to some of the world's most severe weather. Since 1980, the nation has had approximately 220
weather and climatic disasters. [3]
Legal
Each state in the United States has its own legislature and judicial system. The legal regime in
which businesses operate is determined by the state in which they operate. Citizens and
immigrants are treated equally throughout the country. The court system will provide expatriate
employees a fair trial. In addition, the United States has an effective legal structure in place to
defend intellectual property rights. [3]
Challenges faced in USA –
Culture: Individualistic rather than collectivist culture prevails in the United States. Individually,
Americans think that everyone should be able to identify themselves and pursue the "American
Dream" based on their own skills, interests, and ambitions. Businesses and banks are particularly
results-driven, and quick strategic objectives are evaluated and considered more heavily than
long-term set initiatives.
Salesforce: As previously mentioned Salesforce CRM is also a business from the US,
BugendaiTech finds it difficult for hunting down clients and pursuing them to let BugendaiTech
implement the salesforce for them.
High employee attrition ratio: compared to other companies in the sector, BugendaiTech has an
increased attrition ratio and must invest significantly on more employee training and
development than its competitors.

INDIA
India is a fascinating market for international entrepreneurs and investors since it is a fast-
growing country that also happens to be the world's largest democracy. The country, which has a
demographic of more than a billion people, has experienced rapid economic expansion in
consecutive times and currently leads as the world's fifth-largest economy by GDP. It is critical
to define the target market and acquire excellent partners who are familiar with those areas and
procedural concerns before entering the Indian industry. Creating plans for certain areas and
income groups, tailoring offers to the target group in order to win early acceptability, acquiring
needed licenses and permissions, and understanding import documentation and procedures are all
significant aspects of market entrance in India.
SWOT analysis of Indian Market [2]
Strengths
• India is the world's largest democracy. It has a powerful and independent judiciary.
Indians are often immensely patriotic about their country. Economic liberalization has
resulted in a sizable middle class and converted the country into one of the world's
fastest-growing economies. [2]
• Plenty of trained Human Capital at Low Cost: Because of the abundance of skilled labor,
it is now available at a low cost. This has paved the path for industries to relocate to
India. [2]

Weakness
• Although India is a vastly diversified country, communal conflicts occasionally
undermine its peace and calm. Similarly, criminality, violence, and social division based
on caste systems are impeding the country's prosperity. [2]
• Other difficulties such as water scarcity, false news, political power abuse, flood
mismanagement, tardy case resolution, turbulence in the farming business resulting in
major farmer demonstrations, and weak police are posing serious challenges to India. [2]

12
Opportunities
• International corporations can invest in India in a variety of ways. The cost of labor is
inexpensive, and there is a skilled and English-speaking labor force accessible. As a
result, it is projected that an increasing number of foreign corporations would outsource
portions of their activities to the country. This is anticipated to enhance India's economic
situation. [2]
• The dominating sellers’ market has shifted to a buyers’ market, and customers' needs
have shifted from a basic product to a highly efficient product regardless of cost. This has
enabled enterprises to compete and produce a cost-effective product at a reasonable price,
with quality that must be standardized and cannot be compromised. [2]

Threats
• India has territorial conflicts with both China and Pakistan. Because all three of these
countries are extremely powerful, continual efforts must be made to avoid any conflicts
or hostilities. Similarly, India has a lot of competitors on the world stage in several
sectors. [2]
• Globalisation is synonymous with rivalry and power. It is true that globalization has
given developing nations access to the global market, but they are also being constrained
by wealthier countries through different trade and non-trade obstacles. [2]

Pestel analysis of the Indian market

Political
India has a parliamentary system of government and is one of the world's largest democracies.
Factors such as government policies, politician interests, and the ideology of various political
parties all have a significant impact on the political climate. As a result, India's economic climate
is influenced by a variety of political variables. The taxation system is well-developed, and the
Union Government imposes many taxes, including income tax, services tax, and sales tax. [7]

Economic
Since the implementation of industrial reform initiatives in 1991, India's economy has been
much more stable. According to the program, reductions in industrial licensing, legalization of
foreign capital, development of FIBPs, and other initiatives have resulted in a continuous
development of India's market situation. [7]

13
Social
The sociological category includes factors that shape and form consumer attitudes. These are a
location's socio-cultural values, customs, attitudes, beliefs, population growth, health issues,
culture, career mindset, and other factors. It assists industries in learning about the tastes and
preferences of their target audience. [7]

Technological
Technology has a huge impact on product development and brings new cost-cutting strategies.
India has access to both 3G and 4G technology, which has permitted a number of technical
developments. Furthermore, the country has one of the world's strongest IT industries, which
promotes continuous IT development, software updates, and other technical breakthroughs. [7]

Environmental
Because sustainability is the key, an increase in environmental knowledge may lead to additional
growth potential for Indian firms. These include raw material shortages, pollutants, carbon
emissions, and climate change technology. The recurring ecological disasters are causing more
attention about environmental issues. Businesses must develop creative tactics to counteract it. [7]

Legal
In recent years, a number of regulatory reforms have been adopted in India, including recycling, a
rise in the subsistence wages, and disability discrimination, all of which have had a direct impact
on companies. [7]

Challenges faced in India

Customer Satisfaction: Customer standards are rising, and this is altering what it means to be a
successful businessperson in every job. Today, we live in a world that is immediate, but also one
in which personalized, consultative experiences based on solid connections are expected.
Another important personnel difficulty is locating workers with the necessary expertise. Often,
firms are unable to expand due to a lack of qualified employees. Hiring qualified applicants
frequently implies paying more competitively.
BugendaiTech also faces an issue for market research mainly the ground level research of the
market and existing competitors.

14
CANADA
With a market value of US$24 billion in 2019, Canada is the world's fifth biggest aerospace
sector, supporting 213,000 employments. Canada is the global leader in the manufacturing of
civil flight simulators, fourth in the production of civil aircraft, and third in the production of
civil engines. In the last decade, Canada's technology industry has risen twice as quickly as the
rest of the economy, accounting for 5% of total GDP. Canada is home to some of the world's
largest IT centres, which are expanding and drawing inventive people from around the world.
Canada's dedication to talent development and attractiveness, as well as its strong support for
innovation and cheap business expenses, making it simple for digital businesses to generate
money. [6]
SWOT Analysis for Canadian Market [11]
Strengths –
• The Canadian government encourages business ownership. With various routes for tax
savings and exemptions, Canadian entrepreneurs are more confident (citing less fear of
failure) in establishing small enterprises or designating themselves "self-employed." [11]
• Canada has a rich history of embracing people from all around the world. It has resulted
in a society that is very culturally and ethnically diverse. Multiculturalism is the primary
cause for the country's prosperity. [11]
• Profits in Canada have increased as a result of exporting to specialized markets, including
the growth of Canadian diamonds, but notably in the ice wine sector. Ice wine accounted
for 29 percent of their overall export value in 2014. And the figures continue to rise. [11]

Weakness
• The value of free-floating Canadian dollars fluctuates. Currency fluctuation is often
between 5% and 10% in a single trading period. Her currency is usually one of the most
stable in the world. When the global stock market swings, it does significant damage to
enterprises and foreign trading. [11]
• Canada benefits economically and technologically from its proximity to the United
States. It also demonstrates that Canada exports more than 70% of her goods and services
to the United States. It also implies that her economy is significantly reliant on commerce
with the United States. When the US economy suffers, so does the Canadian economy.
[11]

15
Opportunities
• Canada exports the vast bulk of its goods and services to the United States. Canada
should now sell her products/services to the international market, particularly Asian
nations such as China. It would assist her to diversify her business interests and minimize
her dependency on the US market. [11]
• We live in a world ruled by US tech firms such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft,
and Amazon. The good news is that they are all in her country's neighbouring countries.
Canada should now capitalize on the chance by promoting the same digital and
entrepreneurial culture in her schools, colleges, and institutions. Canada should seek
advice if necessary. The advancement of science and technology would create a plethora
of new options. [11]

Threats
• Many stores' livelihoods have been jeopardized as a result of the Canadian dollar's
depreciation (particularly Canadian businesses). [11]
• The government of Canada is assisting in the development of small enterprises, start-
ups, and entrepreneurs. In addition, the country has experienced the effects of
exporting specialty items to expand the economy during the previous 10 years.
However, as the Canadian currency weakens, there is fear for established firms, the
oil sector, and the country's economic stability. [11]

Pestel Analysis of the Canadian Market

Political
Canada has a high level of political stability. It is, in reality, one of the world's safest countries.
Canada portrays itself as a very favorable environment for business and tourism due to its low
crime rate and dependable enforcement services. It is worth noting that Canada's emphasis on
international peacekeeping has resulted in a highly positive worldwide image.
Canada is a powerful country and a founding member of the United Nations. It maintains cordial
relations with the world's strongest country, the United States. It also has good connections with
the United Kingdom, France, and a number of other nations throughout the world. [10]

16
Economic
Canada has a sophisticated mixed economy. Both the government and the Canadian people make
economic decisions for the country. Some industries are held by the government, while others
are owned privately.
Canada attracts investors and businesses from all over the globe due to its strong and vibrant
economy, varied and enterprising population, world-class technology, and one of the strongest
financial systems in the world. [10]

Social
Canada is a country with a wide range of cultures. In truth, diversity has played an important part
in Canada's history, and many people refer to the country as a nation of newcomers. There is a
significant scarcity of qualified people in a variety of industries in Canada, and many company
owners believe that this shortfall is impeding their firms' growth. People with relevant talents and
experience can apply to come to Canada, which supports immigration.
Canadians are free to have their own views and viewpoints, and they are allowed to congregate
and worship without restriction or intervention from the state. As a result, Canada is an attractive
environment for expats of all religions and none to work[10]

Technological
The Canadian economy is heavily reliant on technology. In fact, technology is one of the
country's fastest expanding industries. Canadians utilize technology for a variety of objectives,
the most common of which are education, careers, and leisure. High-paying positions are also
available in the technology industry. Both governmental and private investments in Canada's
technology industry are increasing at a rapid pace.
Many foreign IT experts and enterprises consider Canada to be one of the greatest places in the
world to progress their careers and expand their businesses. Across Canada, technology is
transforming the face of many conventional sectors and providing numerous possibilities for
both individuals and businesses. [10]

17
Environmental
Canada is now experiencing a variety of environmental concerns. A variety of air contaminants,
acid rain, smog, and climate change, for example, are impacting Canadians. Many Canadians
consider air pollution to be a serious environmental problem.
The Canadian government has implemented a variety of programs to reduce air pollution and
greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, which cause climate change. [10]

Legal
Some employee rights are legally guaranteed in Canada. There are some minimal criteria that
companies must follow when it comes to employees' working hours, minimum pay, paid sick
leave, vacation, termination, and many other matters.
In Canada, there are several ways to conduct business. The most frequent include corporations,
joint ventures, general or limited partnerships, trusts, single proprietorships, co-operatives, and
branch plant operations. The most common route of admission into Canada for multinational
enterprises is through a company. [10]

Challenges Faced in Canada

One of the main challenges they face in Canada is also ground level research about the market as
well as the rules and regulations particular to the country.
They also face a problem in recruiting local talent in Canada who has the knowledge of the
market and how business work in Canada.

18
FRANCE
France's freedom score is 65.7, ranking it the 64th freest economy in the Index for 2021. Because
to a drop in intellectual property and other categories, its overall score has dropped by 0.3 point.
France is placed 34th out of 45 nations in Europe, with an overall score that is lower than the
national averages but higher than the global average. [8]
The French economy is still classified as relatively free this year, as it has since 2004. The
administration has pushed through a slew of changes aimed at lowering unemployment,
improving the investment climate, and boosting competitiveness. However, even if they had
been accepted, they would have little effect on the country's astronomically high government
expenditure levels. [8]
France is one of the most modern countries in the world, and it considers itself to be a leader
among European nations. Tourism, industry, and medicines are the three mainstays of France's
diverse economy. Many significant enterprises have been partially or totally privatized by the
government, although it still retains a substantial presence in areas like as power, public
transportation, and defense. [9]
SWOT Analysis for France
Strengths
• France's economy is fuelled by the telecommunications, tourism, agricultural, and
armaments sectors. France is one of the most productive agricultural countries in Europe.
Soybeans, shellfish, and nuts are only a few of the various things that contribute to the
annual agricultural export revenue of $600 million. Wine, cheese, and other processed
items are among France's other popular exports.
• Business and creativity are welcomed in the country. Both help to enhance the economy
by providing work opportunities for both natives and foreigners. France also supports
start-up investment and makes it simple to manage corporate taxes. Having an
entrepreneurial attitude in France, as a result, is a quiet strength that invites challenge and
opportunity.

19
Weakness
• Aside from the inherent language barrier, France's living expenditures are expensive. If
you bring American or British currency with you, the conversion rate will help you save
money. However, if you don't, you can have a hard time surviving for long.
• The country's administration is a key source of vulnerability. It may be difficult to gain a
clear response from the administration as a citizen, expat, or traveller. You'll be buried
with paperwork if you don't get the run-around. This wouldn't be a problem if the
administration wasn't notorious for misplacing papers, forcing you to redo the paperwork
or risk having your request refused.

Opportunity
• More potential in these industries may be explored by the government, particularly in
respect to overseas suppliers and partners. Other well-known French industries, such as
education, travel, and the digital domain, may also provide opportunities for new
ventures. Telecommunications, e-commerce, and information technology have all
advanced in the country.
• This tragedy has brought people together from both inside and outside of France. It's
affluent individuals and worldwide influencers to give donations to help reconstruct this
renowned site.

Threats
• Unfortunately, France has been the target of countless acts of terrorism perpetrated by
terrorist organizations. Hundreds of individuals have perished since 2015. Bombs were
detonated, a terrorist drove a truck through a throng of people, and a knife assault
occurred at the Louvre.
• High-volume car break-ins are also a danger in France. Frequently, valuable items (such
as travel papers, passwords, and money) are stolen. These break-ins are most prevalent at
night, on the beach in the south, and at highway rest spots. This is a concern for both
French and international visitors.

20
Pestle Analysis for France Market
Political
In international politics and the Western world, France plays a vital role. She is also an important
and influential member of the European Union. Most significantly, it is a constant member of the
United Nations Security Council and a founding member of the UN.
France has a stable political climate and operates under a semi-presidential government structure.
Over the law-and-order situation, it witnessed various protests and parades. Such incidents have
thrown the country's business climate into disarray. Many investors began to lose faith in France.
[13]

Economical
France is one of the top ten economies in the world and contributes significantly to the European
economy. France is, nonetheless, an expert in the creation of high-end cosmetics and luxury
goods. The service industry is also the most developed in the world. France is a global leader in
the railway, automobile, and aerospace sectors.
France has trade agreements with the OECD, WTO, NATO, and the G7. Germany is the closest
trading partner out of all of trading partners. Some of the leading international French
corporations include Air France, JCDecaux, Veolia Environment, Areva, PPR, LVMH,
Carrefour, EDF, L’Oréal, and AXA. [13]

Social
Bicycling is the favored means of transportation for the French, who are particularly concerned
about their health. Most old school smokers continue to do so, but some are switching to
electronic cigarettes. Many people purchase exercise equipment in order to improve their
physical fitness.
France is also dealing with a number of social difficulties, including rising unemployment,
demonstrations, parades, strikes, rising crime rates, and labor issues. In 2021, France's rate of
unemployment is 10.168 percent. Many individuals are opposed to immigration. In the country,
there have been several instances of racial violence. [13]

Technological
France is the world's most technologically advanced country, with a long history in space
technology, information technology, and a variety of other sectors of research. They sent the first
satellite into space nearly 50 years ago, making them the third country in the world to do so
behind the United States and Russia. [13]
France is the world's most active internet user, and it competes with other wealthy nations. Paris
is home to some of the world's most successful startups and venture capital firms. However,
there is still a scarcity of qualified computer engineers in the nation. [13]

Legal
In France, a working week is officially defined as 35 hours. During working hours, employees
must take a break, and the maximum continuous working hours are 4.5 hours. Sabbatical leaves,
paternity leave, maternity leave, sick leave, yearly leave, and overtime working time are all
covered by French laws and regulations. [13]

Environmental
Thousands of tourists travel France each year, and the country's tourism sector generates billions
of dollars in income. Many visitors and inhabitants have suffered environmental issues as a result
of France's economic growth and advancement. Biodiversity loss, noise pollution, household
waste, natural disasters, water pollution, and air pollution are only a few of these challenges. [13]

Challenges BugendaiTech would face in France

International companies seeking to expand their operations have traditionally been welcomed in
France. Getting acclimated to French working patterns, on the other hand, might be tough, and
cross-cultural awareness is necessary. In France, opening a bank account has traditionally been
difficult. The procedure is required, complicated, and time-consuming. Underestimating the
French culture might have a detrimental influence on the speed with which a company can be
established in France. To traverse the tangle of administrative and linguistic complexity, local
support is essential.

AUSTRALIA
In many various areas, the Australian business market is developing and prospering. Businesses
are finding it easy to locate the talent they need to get off to a fast start, thanks to a highly
competent and educated populace. And, thanks to the possibilities and cash provided by
Australian government grants and loans, a diverse range of entrepreneurs are launching
enterprises across the country. According to the International Monetary Fund, Australia's
economy will grow to become the world's 13th biggest in 2022. Australia is one of the wealthiest
countries in Asia–Pacific, with more than two decades of economic growth. In financial and
insurance services, technology, and high-value-added manufactured items, Australia is
internationally competitive. Agriculture and mining are key export industries. [4]
SWOT analysis for Australia [17]
Strength
• The FinTech business in Australia is booming, extending the country's reach to mobile
device users. Technology advancements, as well as changing client buying patterns and
behaviours, may change how financial services are applied and utilized by Australians.
[17]
• Financial services in Australia provide a substantial contribution to the national economy.
Australia has contributed more than $140 billion to the GDP in recent years.
Furthermore, Australia has some of the safest, most lucrative, and economically
significant banks in the world. [17]

Weakness
• The cost of living is a serious issue for Australians. Borrowing money to buy a home is a
priority for a large portion of the population. This is necessary because the tax system
favours those who own homes or invest in real estate, which, unfortunately, drives up
housing prices. To deal with these costs, not enough money is invested in establishing
new prospects, enterprises, or riches. [17]
• As the "gig" economy increases, Australians are concerned about the future. In the "gig"
economy, employers can pay someone to complete a job but are not compelled to provide
any benefits. Workers will have a harder time finding stable employment as a result of
this. [17]

23
Opportunity
• Western Sydney is among Australia's fastest-growing areas. The population is diversified
and continues to increase. Over half of the companies in Western Sydney are run by self-
employed individuals with teams of less than ten workers. There's a lot of opportunity for
investment and trade expansion in this area, with so many enterprises coming up and
such a diversified community. And not just in Western Sydney, despite the fact that the
commercial population there is increasing. [17]
• Small and medium-sized businesses employ more than 60% of Australia's total
workforce. These businesses can thrive if they have the right growth and innovation
policies in place. They don't, though, at the present. The government must concentrate on
this since citizens cannot handle it on their own. [17]

Threats
• Australians are concerned about the country's technological and security future. The
Australian government is working to get encryption services removed from documents,
texts, and communications. All messages will be viewed by anybody, at any time, rather
than just authorized individuals. [17]
• Australia reaped the fruits of the mining boom years ago. Mining items were first tripling,
even quadrupling in price. The mining boom has come to an end. Despite the fact that the
boom is officially over, and many Australians are left feeling lost as a result, there's a
chance it will come back. [17]

Pestel Analysis for Australia

Political
Australia's political system is open and transparent. The government is run on the principles of
liberal democracy and constitutional monarchy. People are more likely to trust the government
since the country's administration is open and fair. Australia is a member of the United Nations
and has close links with the United States.
OECD, Commonwealth of Nations, G20, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation World Trade
Organization, ANZUS, ASEAN plus Six Mechanism, and Pacific Island Forum are among the
countries with whom the country has formed alliances. The country's stable and robust political
atmosphere has attracted investment. [15]

24
Economical
Australia's economy is the 14th largest in the world. The COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 had a
lesser impact on the country. By 2022, GDP growth is predicted to reach 3.1 percent. Inflation,
household earnings, and corporate investment are all predicted to rise steadily. In Australia, all
businesses are required to pay a 30% tax rate on their taxable revenue. Small enterprises, on the
other hand, are subject to a 26 percent tax rate. [15]
Some of Australia's significant imports include machinery, automobiles, mineral fuels such as
oil, delivery trucks, refined petroleum, various sorts of equipment, electrical machinery, medical
gear, medicines, plastics, furniture, and precious metals. [15]

Social
Australia is a country with a low population density. Females in the nation have an average life
expectancy of 84 years, while males have an average life expectancy of 80 years. Australia is a
country with a wide range of cultures. Regardless of the fact that after WWII, there were a lot of
immigration requests and rules, the matter is still quite sensitive for citizens.
The people of Australia are divided into three social classes: high class, middle class, and
working class. Over 20% of the population is classed as working-class, and the middle class is
made up of those who do not work in physical labor. [15]

Technological
Australia is one of the world's most technologically sophisticated nations. It has a reputation for
embracing new technology more quickly than many other wealthy countries. Over the years, the
country has seen tremendous technological advancements. [15]
To fulfill the expanding expectations of their consumers, local businesses are investing in
technology. These investments are anticipated to be driven by computers and equipment,
software, tech consultancy services, cloud, and artificial intelligence, which should result in
greater innovation and designs. Many experts, however, believe that Australia has a long way to
go if it wants to compete with IT centers in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
[15]

25
Economical
With breathtaking beaches, mountains, and forests, Australia is one of the most beautiful places
on the planet. It's also noted for its incredible biodiversity. In fact, the nation is home to over one
million plant and animal species. It's no surprise that the nation attracts millions of foreign
visitors each year! [15]
Australia confronts certain environmental concerns, for example, is the driest populated
continent on the planet. Climate change, on the other hand, is a significant challenge. Climate
change might result in water scarcity, the development of contagious illnesses, and regional
conflicts over food, water, and land. [15]

Legal
Fair trade laws, competition laws, and consumer laws exist in Australia to ensure fair trading for
both enterprises and consumers. The Fair Work Act of 2009 is the most important piece of
employment regulation in the country. Similarly, privacy regulations govern how firms handle
their consumers' personal information. [15]

Challenges BugendaiTech would face in Australia

Marketing has evolved dramatically in recent years, and attracting consumers may be tough,
particularly if you're new or uncomfortable with digital marketing and social media. Take the
plunge into inbound marketing. [14]
Keeping a business going during the day is common for Australian business owners. They just
do not have the time to network and build relationships. Setting a goal to spend a little time each
month building new contacts may be quite beneficial. R&D, like marketing, is frequently placed
on hold until today's issues are resolved. Incentivize your company's innovation and give R&D
the attention it deserves tomorrow's success relies on it. [14]

26
SAUDI ARABIA
In a very short period of time, Saudi Arabia's free market economy has seen significant
transformations. It has progressed from a simple agrarian civilization to a regional and global
economic powerhouse with cutting-edge infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia's economy is based on oil, and the country is the world's top producer and exporter.
In recent decades, the Kingdom's economy has become increasingly diverse, and it now
manufactures and sells a wide range of industrial goods all over the world. Economic and social
development plans are developed by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, which outline long-
term economic goals. Individual ministries are in charge of other aspects of the economy,
including as agriculture, energy, transportation, communications, and finance. [19]
SWOT Analysis for Saudi Arabia [16]
Strength
• Saudi Arabia is the largest construction sector in the Middle East, and it is likely to
continue growing in the next years, with ongoing projects. Transportation, infrastructure,
utilities, education, healthcare, and a variety of other industries are all covered. This
makes it a great place to look for work and run a business. [16]
• Saudi Arabia's continually expanding construction business will ensure your professional
career's continuation and stability. Saudi Arabia is one of the few countries in the world
that has a firm grip on hazards and security challenges. From the time you set foot on its
territory, you may be confident that you will be protected. [16]

Weakness
• Companies in Europe and America are working harder than ever to create a fantastic
experience for their employees. Ensure they're happy, engaged, and having a good time at
work. Work-life balance is becoming more popular in businesses of all sizes. In Saudi
Arabia, however, this is not currently the case. Unfortunately, the mindset is more
focused on boosting workloads and lowering overhead. [20]
• You must be completely informed of the work-life balance before considering operating
in Saudi Arabia. This is the most crucial factor in keeping you going, motivated, and
productive. However, due of the long working hours, especially in the construction
business, you are more likely to be under continual strain in Saudi Arabia. [20]

27
Opportunity
• Saudi Arabia is a magnet for talent. The government expects to invest around US$ 400
billion between 2015 and 2020 under the parameters of its eleventh 5-year economic
development plan, in keeping with this multi-level growth. As a result, more bright
experts will travel to the nation, increasing your chances of meeting new professionals
every day. [16]

Threats
• Constant pressure, a lack of enjoyment, physical inactivity, and a lack of social
opportunities are all factors that might contribute to sudden bouts of sadness. This might
cause you to lose interest in your career or possibly lower your productivity. [16]

Pestel Analysis of Saudi Market

Political
Saudi Arabia has a stable political climate, thanks to the monarchy's leadership. Many detractors,
however, debate with the term "political climate" in Saudi Arabia. They assert that because there
are no political parties in the nation, there is no political climate. It's basically absolute monarchy
and totalitarianism, with the King wielding ultimate authority.
Saudi Arabia is a member of OPEC, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,
the United Nations, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and other international organizations. [21]

Economical
Saudi Arabia's yearly nominal GDP was estimated to be 680 billion dollars in 2020, making it
the 19th largest in the world. The country's per capita income was 19,587 dollars, making it the
39th richest in the world. Saudi Arabia's major business and source of wealth is oil and gas
production. It accounts about 80% of the country's entire GDP. [21]
Precious metals, gems, medical gear, steel, iron, mineral fuel, pharmaceutical items, boats, ships,
electrical machinery, automobiles, and computers are among Saudi Arabia's major imports. [21]

28
Social
Saudi Arabia is a religiously conservative country. Women must cover everything under their
neck save their hands and feet with the Hijab. Both Saudi and tourist women can wear the hijab
and niqab. Women must always wear modestly, with their knees and shoulders covered.
With 34.2 million young people, Saudi Arabia boasts the world's largest youthful population.
Moreover, half of the country's population is under the age of 25. Men and women, on the other
hand, live an average of 73.5 and 76.5 years, respectively. [21]
Technological
Saudi Arabia has recognized the importance of technology and has been spending heavily in
innovation, entrepreneurial development, and research and development. However, by the end of
2030, the government intends to transfer its economic reliance from oil and gas to the technology
sector. [21]
Saudi Arabia's major entrepreneurial hub, the Badir Program for Technology Incubators,
supports emerging firms. Monisha's, MEVP (Middle East Venture Partners), and UnitX are some
of the other programs available. [21]

Environmental
Saudi Arabia is, without a doubt, the world's most developed country in terms of GDP. However,
environmental issues such as desertification, deforestation, and overconsumption of natural
resources such as agriculture, as well as air pollution, water pollution, and urbanization, face the
country. [21]
The great majority of visitors travel to Saudi Arabia for religious reasons. In 2017, 16.1 million
people visited the nation, according to estimates. By the end of 2023, the government hopes to
have increased tourism to 93 million persons. [21]

Legal
Saudi Arabia is an Islamic nation, and both civil and criminal matters are governed by Islamic
Sharia Law. The king has final authority over the rule of law, including whether or not to pardon
someone. Courts of First Instance, Courts of Cassation, and the Supreme Judicial Council are the
three types of courts in the nation. In the nation, capital penalty and decapitation of bodily parts
are regular punishments. [21]

29
Challenges BugendaiTech would face in Saudi Arabia
It is critical to acquire a thorough awareness of the local culture before attempting to grow your
business to Saudi Arabia or hire Saudi Arabian employees. Islam is an important aspect of its
society. Taking a cultural awareness lesson may teach you the fundamentals of the culture and
help you avoid making mistakes. Because Western corporations cannot rely on their current
identity to appeal with Saudi audiences, they must frequently create fresh branding and content
that considers the Saudi people's religion, beliefs, and customs. Taking this extra step can assist
you avoid insulting the intended recipient by accident.

METHODOLOGY
This paper employs the common methodological approaches to study the different problems
faces while dealing business internationally and study the market of USA, India, Canada.
The approaches were internet-based research, use of e-mails and online meetings with several
managers of BugendaiTech to understand the problems they face while expanding overseas.
During our meeting via google meet, we discussed the number of problems they face while
operating internationally in USA, India, Canada. They also shared light upon how they deal with
such problems and what are the follow up steps with the client which we will be discussing
further in the paper. I was also able to connect with one of the co-founders Mr. Roushan Kumar
who is stays always positive on business development and aims at maintaining the work culture
and lifestyle balance.
Also, when they had visited to UAE for their exhibition at Gitex 2021, I had the chance to
interact with employees in various levels of the management. This interaction was much helpful
for me to get insights into their internal as well as external problem.
And, while learning salesforce and completing modules I was able to understand how
BugendaiTech operates in Salesforce implementations. For learning salesforce, there are trails
and trailmixes which are self-guided learning routes that take you across modules and tasks to
help you covered the most information in the quickest period possible.

The questions I asked during the interview were –

1. What are the challenges BugendaiTech faces while expanding internationally?
2. How do they manage their work time as all the employees work remotely?
3. How do they conduct the market research?
4. What tools are used for analysing the data they collect?
5. What are the future plans of expansion?
6. How do they overcome with international problems? And what steps are used in it?

32
ANALYSIS AND RESULTS
From the data collected, I have analyzed the steps BugendaiTech can implement in their
marketing strategies while international expansion and how to win over clients from their
existing competitors.
It was broken down into categories such as problems while expansion, problems within the
organization and their current expansion in the Emirates.
International client reviews and company’s primary data were also gathered and analyzed in this
study.
International expansion - The research and data collection show that there are three major goals
that BugendaiTech wants to follow for their international expansion. Firstly, they want to carry
out a proper market research giving them all the pros and cons for expanding their business,
while they do this, they would also like to know the people that would be employed and what
working culture suits them the most as BugendaiTech originally operates as a remote working
culture. Secondly, they would like to keep a key point of contact with someone who is
thoroughly familiar with the particular market they build up in. Lastly, they would also like to be
one step ahead of the competition and attract clients as much as possible.

Internal problems - Though BugendaiTech has been successful operating remotely over three
countries, at times there are incidents within the organization that disturbs the working culture.
As they employee people remotely, they lose the touch and connection between them or
sometimes fail to understand the person from that region. During our GITEX meetup I could
notice a gap in communication as well as bonding between the employees and collectively with
the interns too. They had failed in recruiting efficient talent for their Dubai expansion team and
were forced to narrow down the interns and rather decide for a smaller team.

Expansion in the Emirates - BugendaiTech has been spreading their arms over Dubai for a long
time now and as the new year 2022 approaches they have successfully opened up a branch. But
they always lacked in a local contact that could guide them throughout the business setup
procedures and knowledge about the region. They also had problems with understanding the
UAE market, the working culture and the rules and regulations.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATIONS

Becoming a global brand comes with its own set of pros and cons relating to each regional
market you want to expand in. Salesforce's Platform-as-a-Service offering Force.com framework
provides essential tools to enhance user-friendly, customizable, and convenient enterprise
software on Salesforce's multi-tenant, hosted facilities, and firms are seeking to capitalize
Salesforce.com for their organization Customer relationship management and build customized
software products.
In the case of BugendaiTech, they have been successful in setting up a strong client base in the
three regions they already operate in – United States, India, and Canada.
According to my analysis, there are few things BugendaiTech could focus on while expanding
internationally, recruiting international talent, and keeping the BugendaiTech work culture
always lively.
My recommendations for the problem of communication between the employees is,
BugendaiTech can have a virtual office where all the employees come online together at a set
time which is feasible for all. BugendaiTech can use Slack to solve this issue. Slack is a
teamwork center that connects the suitable employees with the relevant knowledge and skills to
get things done. Channels, collaboration tools, team chat, and video conferencing are all
available with Slack. Channels offer a unified perspective of the work you're doing. Everyone on
the channel can work in sync, now that they have access to the right data, and new users can join
with complete understanding. By bringing discussions out of segregated email communications
into one location, Slack Connect impacts the way you communicate with business partners,
providers, and consumers. Group team chat puts employees in touch and involved in team or
project conversations from all over the world. Video conferencing allows you to convey data
more efficiently, allowing you to complete tasks faster.
My recommendation for the Market research issue would be that they can conduct an effective
market research completely covering all the aspects of that particular region and not just plan for
expansion based on assumptions. Monitoring site traffic, social media engagement, research
studies within a certain sector, field testing, and other methods of gathering and evaluating data
are all examples of market research.

35
The element about the market is that it is always developing. Because of this ongoing changes,
BugendaiTech researchers must utilize their analytical abilities to investigate:
• The most recent developments
• Demography
• Market capitalization
• Visions for the future
• Suppliers to the industry
• Distribution around the globe
• Important competition

My another recommendation would be doing a complete competitor analysis will have

BugendaiTech improve their customer engagement and retention. They can track down the
services competitors provide – from which their clients prefer, and which experiences that their
competitor are lacking in. A customer-focused business will always attract and keep the most
consumers. Showing the clients how much BugendaiTech cherish and appreciate their business
is one of the simplest methods to put your company ahead of the competition. Keep up with
what's going on in your field. BugendaiTech can look for methods to make their business
specialty even more distinct, as well as keep up with market trends and invest in new
technologies.
While carrying out international expansion, BugendaiTech can implement the following ways-
• Determine what is controlled at a global level and what is managed at a local level.
• Recognize the demands of the local market and devise a cooperative strategy.
• Create and execute a worldwide marketing strategy as soon as possible.
• Organize campaigns in the same way you would an army operation — plan ahead of
time.
• Gather and share facts

Recommendations based on the swot and pestle analysis would be understanding the different
cultures properly and contacting a key person who would help understand the entire market, its
rules and regulations as well as cultural diversity and working culture in those countries. They
can also use this swot and pestle analysis and compare with the organizations swot and pestle,
seeing where they are lacking.

36
INTERNATIONAL EXTRAPOLATION AND REFLECTION OF LEARNINGS
[12]
'Going global' is an aspiration of several organizations. International is a dreamy and thrilling
process that, when done effectively, provides success upon success. Market opportunities, fresh
talent, embracing new - modernization is a heady and delightful procedure that, when done
properly, brings growth upon growth. It may be claimed that becoming worldwide is simpler
than ever before, thanks to advancements in commerce, supply chains, data analysis, and
insights. While many businesses are motivated to expand internationally in order to increase
income, there are various advantages to altering your company strategy and going worldwide.
the coronavirus outbreak has represented a new digital era that makes connecting with
prospective clients in other countries considerably simpler.
What are the advantages of growing globally?
The very first benefit of international growth is the opportunity to enter new markets. It makes
sense for a firm that has been successful in its native country to expand internationally. A
company's ability to expand its client base increases as it gains access to new markets.
Increased business growth is one of the most significant benefits of international development.
Businesses can expand quicker by entering international markets. Fresh audiences are exposed to
your product or service through expanding the company's worldwide reach. This might lead to
more expansions in the future.
Throughout the duration of my global immersion program, I was able to learn, combine, and
utilize information, techniques, and competences from various business situations. I could also
help in solving corporate as well as other difficulties on your own by examining possible
solutions and developing previously unexpected options. I was exposed to new career
possibilities in Salesforce with the help of my colleagues at BugendaiTech as I never thought the
tech field would be in my options. I also had the opportunity to attend UAE’s biggest business
exhibitions – Gitex, with BugendaiTech and learn about other business in the Tech, AI, and
Marketing industries. Working with BugendaiTech improved my research and teamwork skills
and I was also able to develop more of my social media marketing skills.
While doing the report I could also understand how different countries work and what are the
different cultures we should keep in mind to operate a business in a new country. I could also
understand different working patterns and several rules and regulations.
