1. What is the importance of learning the fundamental positions and basic steps of
folk dance to choreography?
I think it is so important to know the basic steps in folk dance because if we know the basic
steps then we can easily dance . We can easily dance if we know the basic steps of any dance. If
we go from basic steps one day, we became a good dancer.

2. Why is folk dance included in the curriculum?

Folk dances are dances our ancestors created long ago. We must make an effort
to keep folk dance alive because it is an important piece of our history and is
very cultural and religious. Learning folk dance would not only mean that you
learn a new dance from, but they can also benefit you.

Well folk dances are as much intrinsic to cultural heritage as classical dances.
They give you more variety of technique. And some contexts are better suited to
folk styles of dancing. Folk dances are especially great for community bonding
activities because the idea is everyone can participate. Folk dance simply
remains another genre of dance that people enjoy. And they are sometimes
worked into productions.
