Unit 7: Cultural Differences and Diversity in the Workplace

Introduction:

The organization I chose is a young company called Azham Trader GbR, an international

import-export company founded in Germany. the company imports dried fruit into Germany

and neighboring countries and exports electronics to Asian countries. It's a new startup and it

was found to create a platform for Afghan agricultural products. the company starts with 5

afghan employees and one german. The company already has partners in India, Turkey and

Iran. Recently, the company received an offer from Indonesia and China.

The company deals with different countries, which means it has to deal with a different

culture but with a common goal. Advances in technology and transportation and the advent of

the global economy have brought the world together more than ever.

Companies that can develop and use the policies and procedures needed to do so will retain a

competitive advantage over their competitors and increase their efficiency. One proposal that

might be useful to an international company seeking to increase diversity in all fields would

be to adopt a learning approach and allow local branches to cope with the new employee

hiring with different skills and talents.

Diversification

The human resources of any company must be diversified in the section.

The inclusion of a larger number of employees or the hiring of the group of people in

minority communities must be done. A fort should be able to recruit under the direct
supervision of management to ensure that each step has been followed and that the result of

achieving a diverse workforce will be achieved in the environment.

Recruitment and Selection

One way to increase diversity is to contact local college clubs, activities and student groups.

We use a variety of third-party websites to help us manage our Group's web pages, some of

which may collect user data. Another way is to encourage current employees to participate in

the community as brand ambassadors.

Training, professional development and incentives:

One way to increase the effectiveness of training and personal development is to provide

incentives to encourage employees to do so. One way to do this is to provide incentives for

continuing education through a reimbursement program. This could be used in diversification

efforts as well

In terms of training, the company could offer seminars led by some of the company's senior

staff to teach a new skill or program. The ultimate goal is to develop employees of diverse

backgrounds enough to become leaders within the organization. Defining Performance

Management Expectations

Defining expectations for diverse teams should produce results above the norm. Ideally,

bringing people together from different backgrounds can share different experiences that

would lead to more innovation and better performance in a team where respect for other
cultures is of the utmost importance. Thus, strengthening actions and behaviors and

correlating them with future results. of the diverse team, having a set of performance

expectations, which is painstakingly done with great detail, should allow a team to

communicate about performance throughout a given period of time, as such, performance

standards are the approved expressions of performance thresholds, requirements or

expectations (Recruitment Privacy Policy, n.d).

Recommendations for Policies and Procedures

To have a diverse team in the organization, my recommendation and policies are that the

company should hire external advisors to have clear feedback on the current state of the

organization. The information provided by the HR advisor should capture this information

and provide options for updating policies. The company considering all the diversity factors

must hire, train, pay incentives, manage evaluation and recommend policies to an expert must

go ahead and create the structure of a decision-making strategy.

Conclusion

I believe that diversity plays a crucial role in today's globalized economy. Most companies

prefer to have a team of people from different cultures to understand the differences and use

them in their business. Companies need to develop policies to accommodate team

diversification.
