FIELD REFERENCE MANUAL:
Standard Specifications for Structural Concrete (ACI 301-99)
with Selected ACI and ASTM References

The SP-15 Field Reference Manual is a compilation of ACI 301-99 and ACI references on measuring,
mixing, transporting, and placing concrete; concrete pumping methods; hot- and cold-weather concret-
ing; consolidation; and concrete formwork. ASTM Standards are given, ranging from specifications for
ready-mixed concrete to methods for making and curing test specimens in the field and test for slump and
air content.

The specifications, standards, and reports included are authorized reprints of copyrighted material of the
American Concrete Institute and the American Society for Testing Materials.

Section 1.3.3 of ACI 301-99 requires that the contractor keep a copy of this manual in the field office of
any project where ACI 301 is specified.
