Definitions: Unit 2

1. Thriller- film with an exciting story, especially one about crime or spying
2. Docu-drama – a film, usually made for television, in which real events are
shown in the form of a story
3. TV channel – a television station
4. Commercials – used to refer to radio or television paid for
by advertisements that are broadcast between and during programmes
5. Documentary – a film giving facts about something
6. Live – A live television or radio programme is one in which an event or
performance is broadcast at exactly the same time as it happens
7. Presenter – a person who introduces television programmes
8. Producer – a person or company that arranges for somebody to make a
programme for radio or television.
9. Satellite – an electronic device that is sent into space and moves around the
earth. It is used for communicating by radio, television, etc. and for gathering
information.
10.Viewer- a person watching television or a video on the internet
11.Gripping- exciting or interesting in a way that keeps your attention
12.Nauseating- making you feel that you want to vomit; disgusting
13.Nonsense- ideas, statements or beliefs that you think are silly or not true;
absurdity
14.Unwatchable- not suitable for watching 
15.Current affairs- events of political or social importance that are happening
now
