Article 1. Preamble

JUNIA enrolment process automatically implies full and unreserved compliance by the student
with these General Terms and Conditions of Enrolment, and with the documents submitted
during enrolment as well as the study regulations.
To be a student in a school of JUNIA, enrolment is compulsory. Otherwise, JUNIA reserves
the right to ban access to courses.

Unless formally accepted in written texts by JUNIA, no special conditions shall prevail over the
general terms and conditions of enrolment. The fact that JUNIA does not implement any of
these terms at any given time cannot be construed as a waiver to claiming any of said
conditions later.

Article 2. Duration

The training contract described in the present general terms and conditions is provided for a
period of one academic year for one academic program. This contract will be renewed after
your agreement with these CGI, possibly amended, prior to each academic year and for the
duration of the training envisaged if it takes place over several years.

Article 3. Tuition Fees

JUNIA undertakes to respect the prices indicated for the current academic year. You will find
more details about the tuition fees on the Aurion webpage which you acknowledge having read
and understood.

For the following years, these prices are therefore subject to change each year by decision of
the Board of Directors. Note that in accordance with ordinary contract law, the training contract
being concluded only for one academic year within the meaning of article two of these general
conditions of registration, this modification cannot be assimilated to a unilateral modification of
prices.

As stipulated in the study regulations, entry into a higher year or presentation to the official
diploma jury is subject to the regularity of the student's administrative situation, in
particular the payment of tuition fees.

During their studies, students may do an internship. In these situations, where the student is
not physically present on the premises of the campus of JUNIA, they remain administratively
attached to JUNIA and no reduction in tuition fees will be granted. You should also be aware
that some specific educational courses such as double degrees with foreign universities are
subject to specific financial arrangements that will apply as appropriate.

Tuition fees necessarily take into account:

- Educational costs
- Administration fees and student badge (under the conditions of article 6.h)
- Presentations to language certifications (according to the conditions presented in
articles 6.f and 6.g)
- Access to documentary resources (physical libraries of JUNIA and digital access to the
Vauban University Library http://lol.univ-catholille.fr/fr)
- Free access to premises and to wifi outside of school hours, within the limit of the days
and times communicated at the start of the academic year.
- Coverage of students on the move: Students sent by the school using their personal
vehicle to get around (visiting companies for educational projects in particular) are
covered by a JUNIA insurance and will not have to pay deductible in the event of a
claim. By "missioned student" means any student who is asked by the school, and in
3
the context of educational work, to go to a specific place (except situation of academic
stay or international internship). In such a case, the student must imperatively complete
a mission order communicated by the school.
- The costs of the Campus Health Center and those related to the compulsory medical
examination in the 1st year of Bachelor.

In the case of a professionalization contract in the last year of the engineering cycle, the tuition
fees are supported by the host company.

In case of breach of a professionalization contract, due to his own initiative or due to the host
company initiative, the student can return to training under student status if it exists and will
then have to pay the tuition fees of the current year.

Article 4. Means of payment

Tuition fees are payable in one (1), five (5) or ten (10) instalments by the dates specified on
the Aurion portal.

The fees can be paid:

• By bank transfer (with a bank transfer order for your bank)
• By credit card on our web-site paybox
• By bank direct debit if you have a European bank account (dematerialized mandate on
Aurion). The choice of direct debit is made during registration; it will not be possible to
choice this method of payment once registration is confirmed.
• By check payable to JUNIA

You previously paid a deposit when you pre-registered. The payment of a deposit reflects a
firm commitment from both parties.

JUNIA and the student agree to seek an amicable agreement to resolve any difficulties in the
payment of tuition fees. In the event of difficulties in payment, the student is asked to contact
the JUNIA student accounting department (compta.etudiants@junia.com ) in order to look into
possible means of financing and, as a last resort, look into the possibility of rescheduling tuition
fee payments. In all cases, the student must have paid all of the annual tuition fees before
progressing to the following year.

When a mutual agreement between student and JUNIA not be reached, JUNIA, as a last
resort, seeking the services of a collection firm, will charge the fees incurred (€40) to the
financial guarantor of the student concerned.

Furthermore, in case of delayed payment, and in accordance with the provisions of Article
1231-5 of the Civil Code, JUNIA reserves the right to ask the student or guarantor for
compensation of an amount of €25 for dunning charges, as well as compensation to the
amount of €50 for any returned confirmation of enrolment after 07/09/2021. JUNIA is entitled
to refuse a student to attend classes until the latter has been fully informed of their financial
information on the Aurion registration portal.

Barring the specific circumstances set forth in Article 5§1 below, each year started is due in
full. No reduction will be granted.

4
Article 5. Termination

Article 5.1: At the student’s initiative

 Withdrawal

The student has a right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days from the payment of the deposit
on the site of administrative payment formalities. In all cases, the withdrawal can no longer be
exercised once the first day of training has started, which the student expressly accepts.
The deposit will only be reimbursed if the candidate justifies not having validated the academic
conditions necessary to access the training.

 Rescission

Beyond this period, termination at the student's initiative will be considered as rescission.
Except in the specific cases described below, the tuition fees for any started semester are due
in full.

Such termination occurring during the 1st semester will give rise to reimbursement of costs
incurred for the second semester. It is agreed that the tuition fees for one semester correspond
to half of the tuition fees for the year, deducted deposit and that the end of the first semester
of the academic year ends on January 15 even if its educational activities may extend to the
end of January.

Specific Cases:

 Justification of a legitimate and extenuating reason

Students wishing to terminate their enrollment contract must justify a legitimate and compelling
reason (in particular the dismissal or over-indebtedness of parents, moving abroad, etc.).
Such termination must be notified to JUNIA by registered letter with acknowledgement of
receipt (at least 14 calendar days before the date on which he wishes to terminate) and duly
justified on legitimate and compelling grounds related only to the student or their guarantor.
This reason will be studied, specifically by JUNIA management with a view to a partial waiver
of tuition fees. To do so, the student shall notify the school administration of his or her wish to
terminate his or her enrolment contract by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt
at least 14 calendar days prior to the desired date of termination.

 Case of force majeure ((Illness lasting more than 90 days, etc.)

Any absence beyond 90 consecutive days will be considered on a case-by-case basis and
must be proof based (with medical documents). This risk is covered under the studies
insurance which is optional (see Article 6.b)

Article 5.2 : At JUNIA’s Initiative

 Fault from the Student

JUNIA reserves the right to proceed to terminate the contract in case of a decision by the
Disciplinary Board following problems caused by the student to the smooth running of the
establishment and repeated absences without a valid reason and for any other reason causing
the student to be brought before the disciplinary board.
5
Payment default of the sums due in respect of this contract may also lead JUNIA to terminate
the training contract. Therefore, the student must be up-to-date with payment of tuition fees in
order to be awarded the academic year of his/her diploma.

Thus, the student acknowledges having read the study regulations, and particularly the clauses
relating to the Disciplinary Board, compulsory attendance and student behaviour, which he or
she undertakes to uphold, the behaviour of the student both in and outside of JUNIA during
his or her training, when travelling or assigned outside the school during their training.

Upon such termination, akin to a termination for misconduct on the part of the student, the
student may be excluded from the establishment, the fees, however, remaining due in full to
JUNIA.

 Lack of Student Numbers

In the event of a lack of student numbers to open an academic course or program, JUNIA
reserves the right to propose equivalent training to the student. If this alternative training is not
suitable, JUNIA may, by notifying the student at least 14 calendar days before the first day of
training, terminate the contract of enrolment, either after refunding to the student the amounts
corresponding to the tuition fees, or, in the case of partial cancellation of training, after payment
of compensation for the number of hours of training that cannot be provided by JUNIA.

Article 6. Enrolment-related Fees

Undertaking to receive JUNIA tuition implies being aware, prior to enrolment, of all related
expenses in addition to tuition fees.

Article 6.1 Additionnal Fees

a) CVEC (Cotisation de vie Etudiante et de Campus): compulsory subscription

to the CROUS (regional student welfare service) for the student social life

Payment of this contribution to the amount of €92 must be made directly on the CROUS web
platform https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/

You will be asked to prove the payment of this sum to the CROUS during your enrolment
process at JUNIA. The provision of this certificate of payment affects your student status and
your final enrolment at the school.

However, the compulsory CPSU medical social centre and compulsory medical examination
are included in the tuition fees.

Note that if you are a student from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, and you are starting
your studies in France, you will need to register in advance for insurance on the site
www.etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr or www.foreign-student.ameli.fr

b) Liability Insurance

An annual certificate of liability insurance in the name of the student is required in order to
complete your registration.
Liability insurance is an insurance contract intended to cover damage caused to third parties.
It can generally be included in your housing insurance contracts.

6
As a reminder, this liability insurance does not protect for your own damages. It is therefore
recommended to take out additional personal protection, accidental injury or personal injury
cover.

c) Study Insurance (Optional but highly recommended)

This optional insurance covers the settlement of tuition fees in the event of a serious incident
occurring during training. It is up to the student and/or guarantor to declare and manage any
potential claim with the insurer.
You can find more information about the cost and the content and scope of the guarantees
covered by this Study Insurance in the contract available on or Aurion Platform.

d) Additional Supply Costs

Before any definitive registration, the student acknowledges having read that the registration
fees do not take into account the additional costs of supplies necessary for the follow-up of
some courses during the academic year (calculator necessary for educational activities and
assessments, textbooks, literary works, laptops, blouse…). Thus, students must obtain the
school supplies themselves. All additional supply costs are the responsibility of the student,
who cannot avail himself of the payment of his tuition fees in order to ask JUNIA to provide
them with school materials.

e) Additional Costs for Food and Accommodation

Before any definitive registration, the student acknowledges having read that the registration
fees do not take into account the additional costs of accommodation, meals or transport. Thus,
all these additional costs are the responsibility of the student, who cannot avail himself of the
payment of his tuition fees in order to ask JUNIA to provide him with transportation or meal
tickets for free. As a result, all potential transportation costs used to get from one building to
another on campus are the sole responsibility of the student.

f) Laptop

For the JUNIA educational project, the use of the laptop (portable computer) is essential in
order to follow lessons during the preparatory cycle and it is even compulsory during the
engineering cycle.
Depending on the training program followed, a minimum configuration of this PC may be
required. In any case, JUNIA strongly advises against the Apple environment.

JUNIA, with the support of its partners, provide its students with an advantageous offer to buy
a PC. We strongly recommend that you subscribe to this advantageous offer. All information
about this offer and about the minimum configuration of the PC requested is communicated to
you at the same time as these general conditions of registration.
Article 6.2.d of these general conditions discusses the specific case of the PC for students
from the Computer and Network cycle and from the Digital and Biology cycle.

Article 6.2 Included in Tuition Fees

a) Language Certification (English)

Before any definitive registration and whatever the year of admission to the JUNIA courses,
the student acknowledges having read that obtaining the minimum level B2 in English is
required to obtain the engineering degree. The student must refer to the study regulations of
his program to identify the certification required to obtain this level.

7
Tuition fees take into account the registration fees for certifications in English organized by
JUNIA.
The costs of any additional registration and the costs of certifications in English organized
outside of JUNIA remain the responsibility of the student.

b) Language Certification (French)

Before any definitive registration and whatever the year of admission to one of the training
courses at JUNIA, English spoken students acknowledge having read that they must pass a
certification in French. The student must refer to the study regulations of his training to identify
the required certification.
Tuition fees take into account the registration fees for certifications in French organized by
JUNIA.
The costs of any additional registration and the costs of certifications in French organized
outside of JUNIA remain the responsibility of the student.

c) Student Card

A student card will be issued to all students when they register for the first time and will be kept
throughout the studies in the JUNIA training courses.
This card entitles you to benefits both in France and abroad (www.isic.fr). It also serves as an
access badge to the buildings and makes it possible to use the printers / photocopiers inside
JUNIA buildings (the tuition fees provide a preload of photocopies per academic year on each
campus).
In case of loss, the request for renewal of the card will be claimed from the studies department
and will be invoiced at €10.

d) Special case of students enrolled in 1st and 2nd years of the Computer
Science and Networks Cycle and of the Digital and Biology Cycle: Provision of
a Laptop

As a laptop is essential for monitoring studies in the Computer and Networks and Digital and
Biology preparatory cycles, the school allows its students to benefit from the provision of a
laptop for the first 2 years of study. Thus, the tuition fees for the first two years in these cycles
necessarily take into account the provision of this laptop (provision for a period of 2 years from
the first registration in the 1st year). Tuition fees comply with Law No. 2011-525 of May 17,
2011 relating to joint offers.

Article 7. Image Rights

JUNIA may be required to take photos of the students in order to use them to illustrate
promotional material (brochures, websites ...), unless otherwise requested by the student or
his legal representative. This request can be made by registered mail with acknowledgment of
receipt to the Communication department of JUNIA - 2 rue Norbert Ségard - BP41290 - 59014
Lille cedex.

By accepting these general conditions of registration, students authorize the school to use their
image for educational, research or promotional purposes.

Article 8. Personal Data

The student is informed that JUNIA processes data and information concerning him, including
in particular personal data.

8
Any information relating to an identified or identifiable person, directly or indirectly, is
considered as personal data.

This personal data is intended for JUNIA, which is responsible for processing, and for the
purpose of managing the student's education. They are kept for the duration necessary for the
execution of the legal and contractual obligations of JUNIA.

Some personal data can be transmitted to banking organizations (within the framework of the
execution of the contract in the event of payment by direct debit), to the French Ministry of
Higher Education for compulsory surveys (legal obligation), and to the network Alumni of the
school. Personal data are never transferred to a third party for commercial purposes.

In accordance with legal provisions, the student has a right of access, rectification, portability,
limitation, deletion and opposition for legitimate reasons, to the use of his personal data (except
in cases for which the processing meets a legal obligation).

This right can be done by post to: JUNIA - 2 rue Norbert Ségard BP41290 59014 Lille cedex,
or electronically to the following email address: yhdf.dpo@junia.com.
The request will be processed provided that the student provides proof of his identity, in
particular by producing a scan or a photocopy of a valid identity document.
JUNIA will be entitled, if necessary, to oppose manifestly abusive requests (number, repetitive
or systematic nature).

Article 9. Settlement of Disputes

Any dispute, even in the presence of an element of foreign origin, relating to the interpretation
and implementation of these general terms and conditions of enrolment, will be subject to
French law.
These general terms and conditions of enrolment are provided in English in order to facilitate
all students' understanding of this document. These French and English versions of the
general terms and conditions of enrolment include identical items. However, in the event of
any discrepancy between the French and the English versions, the French version shall
prevail.
