Peer Mediation Meeting

Ramsey Middle School students had another
peer mediation meeting. The meeting was just a
review about how we should act when we are
dealing with disputants. Here are some Do’s and
Dont’s:
 Do: Make sure to seat each disputant
across from each other.
 Don’t: Never take sides.
 Do: Listen to each disputant’s side of the
story.
 Don’t: Ask questions that will tick a
disputant off. Ex: “Why would you do/say
something like that.”
Those were a couple of Do’s and Don’ts that all
peer mediators should use. And also, anyone
can peer mediate at any time and anywhere!!
Mall of America – Fun Facts!

Are you thinking of spending some time at
the Mall of America over spring break? Here are
some things that you might not know:
The Mall of America is the biggest mall in the
U.S.A.  It was opened on August 11, 1992.
It cost 650 million dollars to create. The Mall of
America has about 520 stores; it also has a
theater for everyone to see all the new and old
movies and a fun theme park with lots of rides
for people to enjoy. The mall has a total of
4,200,000 sq ft: that’s enough space to fit
SEVEN YANKEE STADIUMS!!
The mall is owned by Ghermezian brothers of
Canada; they also own another mall that is
located in Canada. The Mall of America is a fun
place where people from all over the world come
to Minnesota to see (and shop).
To us, the mall may seem like nothing
special, but we are all very lucky to have such a
fun place to go with our friends and family.
Juicy Lucy (or Jucy Lucy)

Food is good, Especially Juicy Lucys. What is a Juicy
Lucy? It’s a cheeseburger that has cheese inside the meat
patty rather than on top. A piece of cheese is surrounded
by raw meat and cooked until it melts. With the first bite
you see all the cheese gush out. Yummy! It was invented
around the 1950’s in Minneapolis. The best places to get
one is at Matt’s Bar or 5-8 Club. Who invented the Juicy
Lucy? Matt’s Bar claims to be home of the original Juicy
Lucy, or as they spell it, ‘Jucy Lucy’. Which one is the best?
You should try out both places and find out.

The Zodiac is a group of constellations that are
in the path that the sun takes as it moves through a
year. When a constellation is not visible, that is the
“sign” for that time period. Astrologers have used
the Zodiac for predicting people’s lives for
hundreds of years. They make what is called a
horoscope. Horoscope literally means “hour
scope”.
