TYPES OF EVENTS
Conferences
A convention or a formal meeting of people that shared the similar interest.
Typically take places several days.
Also call as seminar, congress, convention, colloquium.
Usually organized by higher learning institutions.
Example: Global Research Conference 2020 organized by UiTMCT.
Meetings
An assembly of people for a particular purpose.
Particularly for a formal discussion.
Example: OMSA AGM
Training
The action of teaching a person or animal a particular skills or behavior.
The action of undertaking a course of exercise.
It may takes several days.
Example: Successful Leadership organized by Institute of Leadership, ILD.
Product Launches
The process of introducing a new product for sale to attract the end users.
It is one of the marketing strategies.
Example: KFC launches their new products (Hot & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken)
Fundraising Events
The process of seeking and gathering voluntary financial contributions by engaging
individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, or governmental agencies.
Used to increase visibility and support for an organization as well as raising funds.
It can be face to face fundraising or online fundraising.
Team Building
The action or process of causing a group of people to work together effectively as a
team, especially by means of activities and events designed to increase motivation and
promote cooperation.
Reward Events
Incentive events that is implement by the company to thank the workers who have made
the valuable contribution to the company.
It is also used to encourage the workers to work harder.
Example: Excellent Service Award

A live music performance in front of audience. Also called show or gig.

Ceremonies or activities organized outside the organizations.
