It is well known that air quality is closely related to people's physical health, and still sports

events and air quality are inseparable anywhere. In this article, the author mentions that air

quality not only affects athletes, but also governs local governments' special attention to air

quality( (M.Vosters, 2017) .The statement put forward by the Organizing Committee of the

Olympic Games is that it is necessary to improve the air quality environment for the athletes'

competition. For example, some cases show that in order to carry out large sports events, the

local government will stop some air pollution sources, so that the local air environment has

been greatly improved. And some data show that breathing rate is crucial for an athlete, so

reducing the smallest particles in the air is imperative (M.Vosters, 2017). By doing so, more

large cities have tightened controls on air quality during sporting events, which would

otherwise lead to widespread public discontent and, more importantly, threaten the normal

performance of athlete.
