Blue-footed booby

Scientific name: Sula Nebouxii.

Size: 76 – 84 cm in length; 152 – 158 cm wingspan.

Type of animal: Bird

Feeding: Piscivore (sardines, anchovies, mackerels, and squid.)

When Blue-footed boobies are babies, among their potential predators are included owls and
hawks.

Half life expectancy: live up to 17 years

Blue-footed booby is unique bird species, recognizable mainly by the intense blue color of its legs
and palm feet, its English name is "booby" which comes from the word "bobo" due to the
awkwardness of this bird on land, nevertheless in the air it shows strong and agile, often you can
see it looking food in groups of 200 individuals.

Blue-footed boobies are excellent hunters; they see their prey while they are flying, to catch it they
jump headfirst to the ocean from a height up to 30 meters.
