Modular design, or "modularity in design", is an approach that subdivides a system into smaller
parts called modules or skids that can be independently created and then used in different
systems.
 Reduction in cost
 Shorter learning time
 Flexibility in design (assembled into a variety of
arrangements)
 augmentation (adding new solution by merely
plugging in a new module), and exclusion
The beauty of modular architecture is that you can replace or add any one component (module) without
affecting the rest of the system.

Identical segments used to create a form.

Modular Mean:
Constructed with standardized units or dimensions
