Reflection 3

As I completed this project, I looked back at my thought process before and after taking on this SBA. I
learnt the importance of planning and good time management. I found the group work confusing as
everyone had different ideas and different ways they wanted to implement the main topic of the group.
We all seemed to be talking with no point conveyed. I learnt from this that having each group member
manage sections of discussion helps them share ideas and reach decisions quickly. For example, my
group talked about how to do the project (Format, Ideas, Implementation, Tone) to streamline the process.

I learnt from conducting my research that you should question your preconceived notions. Put them to the
test and replace them with better and more accurate ideas as you progress. I also learnt to be thorough in
my approach. If not, it's easy to spend time skimming and scanning material to try to get shallow ideas
without appreciating the topic. Selecting three contrasting yet similar pieces of work also helped me view
my topic from different perspectives.

Studying this topic made me more aware of the problems posed by the abuse of young boys. How when
you break boys when they're children, they turn into broken men. This SBA showed me how a lot of
societal problems are the product of abuse of our youth and our responsibility to stop the abuse

enhanced as I had to do research, compile information and present said information in this document .
Selecting three contrasting yet similar artefacts also helped me to view my topic from different
