 The Dedication And
Acknowledgement

Being able to write literary works was not easy to do but it makes me
challenged ‘cause it brings out the best in me. I was also surprised because I
was able to learn how to do literary works that I can share to the readers. Most
of the time, I am dedicating my works to the frontliners because in our present
situation, they are the one who is the most important and they are the one who
is helping for us to be free in this pandemic.
For me I would like to dedicate my literary works to my families who were
my frontliner not just in education sector but in all sectors. To acknowledge them
is not just a word for me but an honor because they were the one who help me
bring out the best in me.
Without d help if my parents and, I think that I cannot do a lot of works
and I cannot be productive. And I would also like to acknowledge God almighty
because despite what happen in d world, god gave me motivation to do this works
as a contribution to inspire and give more energy to the frontliners.

HERO

You’re like a fighter

Roaring against the virus
Fighting in this battle
Which makes everybody scream.
But because of you there is hope
You’re showing that there will be end
End that will make everything normal

Because of you, our hero

It seems that this pandemic will be gone
It seems that people can finally do shake hands
Just like the old times
I, them, everyone
Are thankful to you, our hero.

HERO

Everyday seems to be a good day

This is because we have our heroes
You’re working hard for us everyday
And patiently battling with our foes.

We thank you for your sacrifices

And also for your unending love
You are having bad experiences
But you are still flying like a dove

We know that our world will be better

And we promise to have trust in you
Our world will be at peace, frontlines
We just need to pray for us to cope.

Facing the reality

Is impossible to believe
People with blue face masks,
Different colors of PPE,
Clear face shields,
Are the things we normally see.

Beacause of this pandemic,

People felt like the world suddenly changed
All of the people begun to adjust
Believing that this problem
Will ending
And will start to be okay again.

Blue-uniformed drivers,
Red- uniformed drivers
And all of the people working
May feel the hardship
In working right now,
But I know they can cope up with it.

Hope will always be here

It’s just that people needs to believe in
And try to work for hope
To be real, ‘cause hope
Will be the beginning to end this problem
FICTION (Contemporary/Realistic) 5
Karma
Alexa is the old friend of Rose and she decide to come back here in the
Philippines for good. Her house is next to Rose’ house. One day, while Rose is
doing their laundry and taking good care or her child, Alexa passed by. “Oh my
God! Look at you now Rose, what happened to you? The last time I saw you, your
face is so smooth.” Rose just ignored her and continue to di her laundry. On a
sunny day, Rose and her husband Troy, have decided to go to the mall with their
child. While walking, they saw Alexa and sent them away. Troy looked back to
Alexa and smiled each other.
Weeks has passed, Alexa and Troy are seeing and dating secretly. “Troy,
why don’t you leave your wife and come with me?? Let’s go in Canada. We can
be married their”, Alexa said. “Don’t worry, my love, we will be freely together
soon”, Troy answered while holding Alexa’s face. Rose started to doubt Troy
because normally, her husband comes home early but in the past few weeks.
Troy is coming home very late and his reasons was the traffic.
Rose have decided to buy their groceries and as soon as she left, Alexa
went to their house and make love with Troy. After an hour, Rose decide to go
home and she was shocked on what she saw. “What are you doing here?” asked
to Alexa. “Isn’t it obvious? I’m with your lovely husband”, she answered with the
flirty voice. Troy want to explain but Rose refused to.
Rose moved out from their house with her child and decide to file an
annulment. After a long time, their annulment was approved. Troy and Alexa
decide to stay there and they are married and had a child.
Rose became the CEO of a lipstick and makeup company while her
daughter is studying. She decide to visit their house in the Philippines expecting
that no one lives their but she’s wrong. “Oh, look at you now,” Rose said to Alexa
which is walking with her husband. Alexa and Troy did not say a word but as
Rose walks away, they are staring at her until she came out of their sight.
FICTION (Contemporary/Realistic) 6

Revenge
Often, people take revenge when they are harmed and this is natural. For
a short time, when I was young, I saw the problem in the real world. Toward
lunchtime, as the people in the street grew hungry and tired and irritable, they
would begin to fight and hit each other for food to survive. Some person gave
other beggar a food to eat but other beggar would fight for the food and this
would cause the cycle of hatred and revenge. The beggar that was not given food
yelled to the other beggar, “Give me my food!” the other beggar would yell back,
“No! I WON’T!” this scenario would cause fight and misunderstanding as the
battle of survival.
FICTION ( FANTASY) 7
The Luffy
There was a peaceful Kingdom called Murdock held by a mighty king
named Tobi. Tobi was a democratic leader who listens to his people for the
reason that their kingdom was very peaceful and all the people where very
united as one. One night, when the king was on his way to hunt food in the
forest with his army, he heard a loud voice near the cave and try to look at it.
As the king enters the cave with his army, they saw a beautiful woman with a
long tail that kills all the army of the king and the king was shocked because
the woman did not kill her. The king is about to kill the woman but the woman
talked to the king and said “I will give what you want and make you the king
that cannot be defeated in one condition.” The king replied and asked, “what
will be your condition you demon witch!?” The condition was to give her a son
and after a few minutes the woman hypnotized the king to give her a son. Few
hours later, the king regains consciousness and he tried to recall what
happened but he can’t. The only thing he remembered was the beautiful girl in
front of him.

Years had passed, the kingdom is still at peace and there was a time that
a feast is being held. One day, all of the people were gathered in front of the
kingdom but a strange creature named Rama came out and killed all the
warriors and other people. There was a witness who saw everything and
reported to the king. After what happened, the kingdom lost its peacefulness
and trouble by the creature named Rama. Every night, Rama attacks king Tobi
is wealth. Killing warriors and sound makers and thus even eats them. One
day, they saw a black army going to the kingdom for trades and negotiation
headed by an old warrior named Luffy with his pet Pharsa. As they were in
negotiation, the king asked Luffy if he could kill the monster who always het
into rampage and kill all his people and if he does win, king Tobi will make
Luffy the king of Murdock because the king was already old and do not have a
successor in the throne. In the evening, Luffy and his pet travelled to the place
of the rampage and let his men celebrate so that the monster will attack.
Suddenly, the monster attacked them and killed few people but because of the
power that was bestowed upon Luffy, he uses his fire power to burn the
monster and killed it. As the fight comes to an end, Luffy shouted, “Thank you
mother” while looking at the sky. The King look at it and he was shocked on
what he saw. “My son”. The king whispered to Luffy.

Days had passed and king Tobi died. As soon as he remembered what
happened long time ago, he died with a peaceful face. Luffy made the kingdom
as wealthy as it can be and build a high wall for intruders as a defense because
of the strategy and wise technique of Luffy. The kingdom of Murdock was the
most powerful kingdom. He dedicated what he have done to his father, King
Tobi.
SCRIPT (Oli Impan) 8

Oli Impan
Girl: (Smiling) Wow! That song seems familiar
Boy: (Look at her) Really?
Girl: (Nodding) Yeah. My father taught me a song that was like the same at that
song.

Boy: (Excited) Can you sing it too?

Girl: (Singing) Silent night…
Holy Night…
All is calm, all is bright…
Round yon virgin, Mother and child
(Stops singing) I forgot the next. Can you sing that part with your song?
Boy: (Singing) Oli impansotenderenmayle
Girl: (Singing) Sleep in heavenly peace…
Boy: Do you know the title of our song?
Girl: (Thinking) No how ‘bout you?
Boy: Aha! The title of our song is Oli Impan
Girl: Yeah you’re right…
Boy: (Laughing)
Girl: (Laughing)
(Yawning) I’m sleepy.

Boy: (Yawning) Me too..

The World is an Apple

ME: Hi Gloria, I am Diaz and my house is just there next to your house. I hope
you don’t mind but can I tell you something.
Gloria: (Sat down on the bench worrying whether Mario will be back)
Me: I am sorry because I heard your conversation with your husband and this
name Pablo.
Gloria: Yeah what about it? (Crying and worrying for her husband)
ME: I just want to give my opinion base on what I have heard. It seems that
the offer of Pablo to Mario will put Mario in danger.
Gloria: (Deep Sigh) Yeah I know because since then this Pablo always give
problems to us. Offer money for us but in bad ways. I don’t want my husband
to go because I feel like he will not come home
ME: I understand your insight but there is nothing that we can do now. It’s
because he went already. What my point is you need to trust him for this first
day that he will return. Tomorrow, as he comeback, convince him to go to my
house and I can help you enter job as well as your husband.
GLORIA: Really??!! But why are you helping me?
ME: You know what, I used to be Mario when I was you younger. I sell illegal
drugs not knowing the consequences but there is this kind old man who offer
me a job and that changes my life. This old man gave me a letter saying
(“Repay me by doing this to others when time comes.)
Gloria: Thank you for your offer but what will be our work?
ME: I have 3 grocery stores and the branch of it near here in our place don’t
have manager so I think that you and Mario can be a part of my team knowing
that Marion have experiences and I know that you are a fast learner.
Gloria: Thank you so much Ms. Diaz, as soon as Mario came back tomorrow,
we will go to you right away.(Tears flow to her with joy)
ME: No Worries, I just want to help just like the old man did to me (smiled).

The Chosen One

(A play in one act)

The Chosen one

Characters
SENJU: The protagonist who is usually the strongest warrior in the village. He
founded the village to stop the war against other tribes and create peace and
order.
UCHIKO: The antagonist wherein he fought Senju for the pride of his tribe but
lately lost and joined Senju to create a village that has peace and order.

Setting
A village in the mountain ranges of highland in Cordillera with 10 small nipa hut
circling the one big bamboo house. A tall pine trees covering the heat of the sun.
a river kilometer away from the village.

Time
3 o’clock in the morning, lamps brings light to the whole village.

( Senju is started to hunt for the meal of villagers when suddenly an unpleasant
noise was heared kilometers away from their place so he ran towards it. He is
holding his spear and his bow and arrow is on his back,)
REFLECTION (Contemporary/Realistic) 11
A Moment Like These
A happy moment where in it was a normal day and people were just
doing their job normally is a regular day and it always made every day. I also
encounter children who always play in the park after the class and a happy
moment of family who went in leisure to bond with the family. This was the
moment wherein I miss the most because all of these normal activities were
gone in a blink of an eye due to the pandemic that the world is encountering
now.

A pandemic that spread throughout the world which started first in

December (2019) at China and spread all over the world swiftly was now called
Corona virus 2019. This virus can attack the immune system of the person
wherein he or she will gradually become weak. As time passes by, this virus
was then defined by World Health Organization which is an illness caused by a
novel coronavirus that is now called severe acute respiratory syndrome
coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2; formerly called 2019-nCoV), which was first
identified amid an outbreak of respiratory illness cases in Wuhan City, Hubei
Province, China.

This Covid-19 or corona virus 19 had a big impact especially to the life
style of people throughout the world. Because of this pandemic, places where
placed in lockdown to fight this Covid-19. The happy moments that I usually
encounter where already gone and people were quarantined in their respective
houses to stop the spread of the virus. In my opinion, I support this kind of
rule but now a days I also understand and realize that if you are not going to
do something, you will not live or survive in your daily living because money
now a days matters. I usually gather information that people always say that
they will not die because of this virus but because of hunger.

Here in the Philippines, I felt like the plan to fight Covid-19 or

eliminating it was very slow. It is because of the discipline of the people. The
cry for help wherein they don’t have any food to eat but they are not doing
something. People just ask help for their daily living to the government and
sometimes, government leaders the one who they blame but we should keep in
mind that our government is trying their best to give the support we need and
there will be a time that our leaders can’t give this support simultaneously.

Now that the vaccine was already been released, I do understand that
people were afraid to take it but in my opinion, it is rather to take it than to be
infected. It is because I want to go back to the old normal days which we can
do our daily routine. In this pandemic, I’ve learned that Covid-19 teaches us
discipline in life and wherein we need to take good care not only ourselves but
also the people around us especially our frontliners. Moreover, I’ve learned that
we must be responsible of our actions that is why I as a good citizen will follow
the rules to heal as one.

The Luffy

4. Senju: 5. the protagonist who is usually the strongest warrior in the village.

Setting:
8-10:
The Setting takes place in an era of war against tribes. This war was to show
who’s tribes are stronger and be the leader of all tribes. It is usually takes in
the mountain ranges of highland in Cordillera. It also shows the culture of the
tribes in cordilleran tribes to on what they do specially in hunting food.

Time:

The time of the play usually takes place during the ancient time where in
people do the traditional way of living like hunting to survive. If the tribes
cannot survive in the area. They will move to another area where there is food.
-Reflection
Blink of an Eye

A happy moment where in it was a normal day and people were just doing
