Samsung Electronics' tagline, "Do What You Can't," is intended to convey to customers
that "Do What You Can't" is something they do every day, not just a marketing slogan. They
highlight vertical integration, a broad product portfolio spanning mobile devices, refrigerators,
washing machines, smart home products, and televisions, as well as the fact that their devices
work seamlessly together.
Samsung is a global leader in screen technology, TVs, batteries, and chip design. So, in
terms of innovation, it is doing a lot right. But what makes them ahead of their competitors when
it comes to being the best company to work for? To begin with, Samsung has been recognized as
the Best Employer in the World for 2021 (Forbes Magazine, 2021). ). It has surpassed American
tech heavyweights such as Amazon and Apple to take the top spot. Forbes praised Samsung
Electronics in 2021 for its policy of prioritizing employee safety and health during the ongoing
epidemic, as well as for its aggressive investment in future business. Samsung Electronics
employs 1,049,490 people in over 70 countries. When the world was struck by the COVID-19
pandemic, Samsung acted immediately, closing down plants in South Korea, transferring
manufacturing to Vietnam, and slashing component orders by half. Samsung takes steps to
prioritize people's safety over profit while also engaging in worldwide CSR initiatives and a
coordinated global campaign. They did this while also continuing to launch innovative products
and investment in new technologies. These factors indeed proved how they became ahead of
their competitors for two consecutive years.
On the other hand, with all the employee relations strategies and management that
Samsung Electronics take into consideration, what I adopted the most is how they manage to
execute their business philosophy. They value human potential because it allows them to
generate superior products. Providing services to make a positive impact on the world. They
have focused on training and growing their personnel from our company's inception,
understanding that people are at the heart of any business. As a result, they provide a self-
regulating and creative environment that encourages their employees to fulfill their maximum
potential. Samsung also respects employee diversity and prioritizes preserving our employees'
rights, including preventing discrimination based on race, age, gender, sexual orientation,
ethnicity, impairments, pregnancy, religion, political beliefs, union membership, country, or
marital status. They pledge to follow all applicable rules and regulations in the countries where
they do business while upholding all worker rights. When it comes to their management
structure, Samsung amazes me with how well-organized it is, with specific units for each aim,
such as fostering future human resources, supporting employee growth, establishing a creative
culture, and pursuing diversity.
In conclusion, these factors are evident enough to prove how Samsung Electronics
deserves to be at the top for being the best employer, since they value innovation even in time of
the global pandemic, thus, they give importance to their employees’ skills and talents that
contribute to the major success of the company.
