VIII Course Outcomes:


1. Gain a better understanding, comprehension and awareness of various foundations of education and significant current
educational practices and trends by examining the events, ideas and problems that have influenced the development of
education.
2. Acquire knowledge and understanding on the fundamental issues, problems and trends in educational sociology,
psychology, philosophy, anthropology, history and how they affect the educational system.
3. Gain more knowledge on how educational system is influence by social changes and understand how educational aims
and curriculum are directly affected by the changes in the society.
4. Improve the understanding of the nature of human behavior and the learning process and be able to apply certain amount
of self-analysis and understanding to improve educational process.
5. Acquire more knowledge and understanding on the important issues, ideas, educational theories and legalities in
education.

IX Course Description: The course deals with the comprehensive body of information on the various foundations of education
and significant ideas and issues from a broad interdisciplinary viewpoint. It provides a broad frame of reference for understanding
and the important ideas, events and problems that will have an impact on the development of education. The course includes special
topics and discussions in psychological, sociological, anthropological, historical and legal foundation of education.

XI Course Policies:
 Decorum must always be observed during online classes. Students should come to the platform 15 minutes before
the time. Always wear formal/semi-formal attire.
 All requirements must be submitted on time. Late submission will receive deductions. Please be courteous, turn
off your cell phone while inside the classroom.
 Students with 3 consecutive absences will automatically be dropped from the class roll.
 Students who wish to drop the course must do so officially and not just stop coming to class.
 Academic dishonesty: Any form of cheating or plagiarism in this course will result in zero on the exam, assignment
or project. Allowing others to access your work potentially involves you in cheating. Working with others to
produce very similar reports is plagiarism regardless of intent.
 Problems encountered with the subject must be addressed properly. Such consultation may be made in person
during designated time.
