The variable is categorical and level of measurement is nominal
scale.

 Gender
The variable is categorical and the level of measurement is nominal
scale.

 For each of the following variables, determine whether the variable is

 Name of Internet provider

The variable is categorical and the level of measurement is nominal
scale.
  Amount of time spent surfing the Internet per week
The variable is numerical, continuous and the level of
measurement is interval scale.

 Number of emails received in a week

The variable is numerical and discrete.

 Number of online purchases made in a month

The variable is numerical and discrete.

place (weekday, weeknight, or weekend)
