HEALTHY COOKING COMPETITION

Preliminary Rounds

Finals
‐ Date: 22nd May 2010 (Sat)
‐ Venue: Pavilion by the Lake @ Singapore Zoo
‐ Remarks: In conjunction with MOE Family Day 2010
RULES
A) Team Composition:
o Each team should comprise 2 to 4 members – an MOE staff and immediate family
member/members or colleague /colleagues. Immediate family members refer to spouse,
parents, grandparents, children and siblings.
o Each team has to include at least one male member and one female member.
B) Teams are given one hour to prepare and cook the dish using at least one product from
Woh Hup’s range of healthier food choices.
(Please refer to the attached list of products with healthier choice logo. )
C) A team that exceeds the time limit will be disqualified.
D) The cost of the dish must not exceed S$20.00. Teams need to submit the detailed cost of the
ingredients to the organiser .
E) The dish must be able to provide for a family of four.
F) Teams are not allowed to change/replace any member on the day of the competition .
G) The 10 teams selected from the preliminary rounds for the finals, will be notified of the
theme for the final dish at least two weeks before the event. The budget for the dish is S$20.00
per team and detailed cost of ingredients needs to be submitted to the organizer.
H) The organiser reserves the right to amend and interpret any of the above rules. Teams would
be notified when changes are made.
I) The official judges’ decision is final.

A) Health and Nutrition (40%)
- Choice of ingredients (15%)
- Cooking and preparation methods (25%)
B) Creativity (45%)
- Choice of Woh Hup products (5%)
- Dish name & presentation (10%)
- Taste (30%)
C) Team Effort (15%)
- Every member of the team must play an active role in the cooking process
