This document summarizes various studies that investigated the sugar yields from enzymatic hydrolysis of different pretreated lignocellulosic biomass substrates. It shows the solid fraction (SF) after pretreatment, enzymatic hydrolysis conditions, and percentage reduction in sugar yields for different biomass types pretreated through various methods like acid, alkali, thermal and SCW-CO2 pretreatments. The highest sugar yield of 28.36% was obtained for oil palm empty fruit bunch pretreated with acid followed by enzymatic hydrolysis with cellulase and Triton X-100.
