“Three hours ago I suddenly saw a flow of blood from my vagina. The bleeding was
moderate until it became severe after a few minutes and it is associated with pain on the
lower part of my abdomen. I can also feel rapid contractions”, as verbalized by the patient.

III. HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS


The patient reported vaginal bleeding, severe abdominal pain, and rapid uterine
contractions which occurred 3 hours prior to her admission at 5 pm. The patient stated that
she experiences continuous pain on the lower part of her abdomen. “The pain started at
around 2pm and felt pain on my belly, then radiated from the left side to the right side of my
lower abdomen”, as verbalized by the patient. The patient feels a sharp or stabbing pain
and cramping whenever her abdomen aches.
