computer system.
Introduction
Computer systems are collections of integrated devices that accept input, process it and
output the results of the processing. It also serves as a data and information storage device.
Users can enter, alter, and store information using a computer system. Computer systems are
comprised of a central processing unit (CPU), a display, a keyboard, a mouse, and other
optional components. Kano State's healthcare system, and particularly its primary health-care
system, does not make extensive use of computerized information systems. The use of
computer systems can aid in the improvement of the quality and efficiency of health-care
delivery in Kano State and throughout Nigeria. To do this, I'm going to look at different ways
1. Medication and treatment can be done with the help of a computer system. Computers
have altered the way medication is provided as well as the diagnosis and treatment of
medical conditions. Doctors and nurses can analyze an individual's whole medical
history in detail with access to correct patient records, allowing them to diagnose,
treat, and dispense drugs in a timely manner. While in the room with a patient,
medication can be delivered and a record kept. This allows doctors and nurses to
spend more time with patients, providing them precise instructions on how to use the
drug and allowing individuals they are caring for to ask any questions they may have.
2. Computers can be utilized for security and organized record keeping. Storing and
records are being transitioned out of cabinets and storage in favor of computer
systems, which are more efficient. Traditional filing systems have a number of flaws.
When a life or death crisis arises, rummaging through a cupboard for a patient file is a
waste of time. Paper-based file systems can become entirely jumbled during the hustle
and bustle of a busy shift, and patient records may be left on display for anyone to
see. Errors have a far higher chance of occurring. Information could end up in the
wrong patient file, resulting in fatal results. Patient records are kept safe, organized,
and accessible using a computer system. When medical workers can simply take a
laptop computer with network connectivity, there's no need for them to waste time
medical facility constantly, one can be designated to each room. This still gives
doctors and nurses access to a portable solution that’s equipped with everything they
need. Medical staff can quickly access patient records, or hook up other equipment to
a computer, to perform their duties and still have full mobility around a room.
4. Not all patients can access a hospital due to their health condition, which means
sometimes doctors and nurses have to go offsite to treat people. Laptop computers are
portable so can accompany doctors and nurses on home visits, allowing them to
access the hospital network even when not on site. Having access to patient
information, especially when not in the hospital is crucial for ensuring there are no
5. The use of computers in operating rooms has the potential to save lives. Surgeons can
use computer tools to execute complex treatments and keep track of their patients'
health. In surgical theaters, a computer system can be employed as a medical imaging
departments, allowing them to quickly share updates or medical research. Doctors and
nurses can also access the internet for information shared by their peers on conditions
they are perhaps unfamiliar with, but others in their profession have treated.
Computers system can enable inventory managers to monitor stock levels, and doctors
and nurses can access the supplies they need whether it is on a crash cart, medication
