ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Student Green Film Making Challenge 2020 is an BECAUSE

initiative that challenges young film makers who
are studying in the schools to present their

Challenge is open to any young film makers or

group of young film makers age 18 and under.

There are no restrictions on style or genre or how

many entries you may submit. You can be living

Film may be submitted by an individual or by a
group of any size (Ex: a group of friends, an after-

school program, or an entire class). In the case of
group submission, one prize will be awarded to the
entire group as a whole.

The film entry's theme must be solution-based.

The film should talk about an environmental or

sustainability problem and then discuss what
could be a potential solution of climate change.

For example, consider a film that discusses over-

logging and deforestation and then elaborates on
how paper-based product industries can change
their methods to harvest sustainably.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Films will be reviewed by our panel of judges and the BECAUSE

category and will be screened at the NYC Green Film
Fest 2020 in September at New York City USA.
