List FOUR (4) stages in the counseling process.

1. Relationship building
- The First stage involves building a relationship and focus engaging children to
explore issues that directly affect them.
- A first step to developing a relationship of trust between the client and the
counselor is to ensure the process for problem-solving is carried out properly.
2. Exploration
- While they are making an established relationship, a second stage is taking place
(problem assessment).
- A second stage is where the counselor is collecting and classifies information
about the client’s life situation and the reasons for demanding help and support
from the counselor.
3. Decision making
- At this stage, the counselor gathered information from the client and analyzed it in
order to get the optimal solution. The solution must be made according to the
importance of action.
4. Implementation
- The client's solution is executed (or implemented) as the final step in the problem-
solving process. In other circumstances, the client will have to persuade others
that the solution they've identified is a good one. Occasionally, the client is also
given the opportunity to put it into operation, monitor its efficacy, and take
corrective action if necessary. In either case, convincing others that the counselor
and the client's conclusions are correct is an important part of the execution,
which will necessitate effective communication.
