TechnipFMC has won a “large” engineering, procurement, construction and installation

(EPCI) deal with Petrobras for the Buzios development off Brazil.

The deal, worth between $500m to $1 billion, is for the sixth phase of the giant field in the
Santos basin, covering flexible and rigid pipe, umbilicals, pipeline end terminals, rigid
jumpers, umbilical termination assemblies and a mooring system.

Subsea president at TechnipFMC, Jonathan Landes, said: “We are excited to announce
this award, which demonstrates the continuing strength of the subsea market in Brazil
and our collaborative relationship with Petrobras.

“We used our deep understanding of the client’s needs to arrive at technological solutions
developed specifically for the Búzios 6 field.”

Manufacturing will take place using “skills and competencies the company has developed
in-country” using TechnipFMC’s “established ad qualified Brazilian supply chain”.

Petrobras is using several FPSOs to produce the Buzios oil field, discovered in 2010,
aimed at recovering more than three billion barrels.

The operator was reportedly inviting bids for the ninth FPSO at the Buzios field in May,
while the eighth is to be built by Saipem and Daewoo Shipping with delivery expected in
2025.

TechnipFMC was awarded a smaller contract for subsea trees and topside systems for the
Buzios 6-9 fields last year.
