1. Successful Testing and Launching of a Multi- Voltage System Solar Power
Generator 2. Project Title: Multi- Voltage System Solar Power Generator Description: A 1000- watt DC solar power unit which can generate enough power to run air conditioners, lights, refrigerators, television sets and electric fans simultaneously and at a lower cost Proponent: Robel Botio, professor at the research and extension office of Tarlac State University Area: Barangay Ungot, Tarlac Cty Date: July 25, 2019 3. It was funded by DOST-Region III under its Grants-in-Aid (GIA) program 4. Rode Botio’s Statements: a) The multi- voltage system solar power generator can provide alternating current (AC) of 220 volts (V) and direct current (DC) of 12V and has a rated power capacity of 8KW (800W). b) With the said power, the generator brought down the homeowner’s electricity month bill from P6,000 to P1,500 during its trial run. c) It was successfully pilot tested in the home of a poor family in Brgy. Bantug in the science City of Muñoz, Nueva Eciija to power six electric light bulbs and one electric fan. d) The household is 100 percent powered by solar energy.
