CHANGE THE GAME

Scaling 5 core capabilities self-assessment

This quick scaling questionnaire developed by MDF Training & Consultancy for the programme
Change the Game of Wilde Ganzen provides insight on the way members of Project Owners
(PO's) perceive their organization. It is based on the 5 capability model by ECDMP*.

The questionnaire is a self-reflection tool. It has been developed to help you to review the core 5 capabilities
of your organization. This provides you with valuable and thought-provoking input for dialogue
and advances your organizational strenghtening process.

We advice you to discuss the results of the questionnaire with your colleagues. Your colleagues
will have their personal valuable view on the capacity of your organization: sharing and discussing will
provide a more diverse view on the organizational capacity!

Scaling 5 core capabilites

1 Please work on this once you have presented the scaling capabilities presentation (ppt 5C) to the participants. Make sure participants
read the back ground reading on the 5C model (Change the Game handout 5C)

2 Ask the participants to jot down any quick notes to help them rate their organizational capabilities from 1 to 4 (1 being the weakest score
and 4 being the strongest score). Explain that the notes are just to help them think through the components of the capabilities and help
them rate their organization. In case participants represent the same organization, invite them to discuss together on their scores.

3 The scores will automatically add up to give them an overall score out of 25 (questions).

4 If participants are unable to answer a question this is fine. This is an appreciative tool. The exercise can be repeated at later stages in
time. Tell the participants they do not worry if they currently score low as that is an honest reflection of where they are as a baseline
before they start an on-line or off-line course within the Change the Game programme.

Results: making it visible

5 Explain the participants that the average of their scores on each capability will automatically add up in tab 'Visual of scaling'. Ask
participants to draw the visual on a white paper.

6 Ask participants to hang their papers on the wall.
