• Utkarsh’s glasses…….

and face…😅
Well the first time thing that came toy mind when I first saw spectacles on my
friends face….
Was……well they help you see…but they also connect in a manner two sides of
a face…. the hemispheres
Just as a bridge does…….and so….I converter or saw…it as a sightseeing
installation just above a huge valley…now how it can be made possible ….is to
look at his face when lying down with face looking the sky……mostly the case
with beautiful valleys is they cannot be seen ……or true beauty of the sight is
not possible ….but of there would have been a bridge showing the valley…high
above the ground…..the sight would be amazing…….it is build over a ….well a
fictional valley…..it has all…..mountains, rivers, caves, deserts, ditch….and
forests…. In form of a face
….the spectacle spectacular bridge…connects sides….in between there is a
mountain as nose…..with two caves…., Eyes as are usually related to
oceans….and so are oceans……eyebrows are narrow stretch of trees…..on both
the sides….., Beard as dense Forrest….forehead as deserted area….and mouth
a giant ditch….from where nothing ever comes from…
The concept I had in mind was just like glasses to our eyes help us see…..what
we cannot see….as we cannot go there….our inability…..our loss….
This bridge will do the
same…..and will help see the
magical sight, what we might
have missed of this spectacle
bridge sightseeing please
would not have existed…..the
lenses are the transparent
land structure……through
which the ocean or the water
body can be seen…..the
structure is balanced on the
mountain ….. nose
• Padosan
This scene is my perticular favourite because it brings all the important
characters into one scene….or set where they perform a complete symphony
of humor, introduction ,chaos, music…and most importantly love…….this scene
begins with Bindu's silhouette seen through her window…and the main male
protagonist along with his friends are there on the opposite balchony ……bhola
the main protagonist wants to introduce her love interest to his friend
guru(Kishore Kumar)….. who’s introduced as a funny character …in the movie
he’s an actor and conducts drama and plays all around…..bhola (Sunil dutt)
who believes in brahmacharya now has second thoughts regarding his
decisions and when witnesses Bindu(saira Banu)……….
All of bholas friends were so excited that they left the play for him….which
they we’re not attending but conducting….and are now in his balchony….they
his themselves from direct sight so their cover is not blown by Bindu……..her
room is huge which shows her lifestyle… she’s wearing black this is completely
different from the surrounding colors…..as her mood was bad..in the beginning
of the scene.
As soon as they see Bindu……their world goes upside down….as the shade of
window is shown green they sort of represents grass while the pillers were
white showing sky…….
They we’re looking Bindu with surprise…….their reactions create humor.
Out of all the friends……Kishore Kumar is given the most emphesis as his hairs
and dressing style…..musical ability…..and reactions…,.also the most wise one
of all……..
Kishore Kumar aka guru dialogue….cheez to tuna aisi dhoodi ha…..aisi dhoondi
ha…,..ki….akela front page chale Jaye to dushman apne hatiyaar gira de….
All cherishing her beauty…….but as their comments start going
berserk……..guru stops them…….and sends bhabhi konaisi Nazar sa nahi
dekhte…….lakshman ban jao sab……

Maid in Bindu’s house calls out about a master

And suddenly all the friends and crowds excitement is turned into shock and
curiosity……..as to who this master is…..actors portrayed this change of
expression brilliantly with all humor….
….this matter pillai is introducend who signed flirtatious at it’s core…and is
attracted to bi du…..also he is her music teacher…….this scene propogates as
he sings a song and throughout the song bholas friends are seen photo
bombing in the middle and sides creating humor…..and so this scene…has a lot
to offer not just the acting but all of it’s colors and dialogues provide a sense of
brightness…..and all the clothes worn by males of the movie are bright
representing hope for Bindu….whereas Bindu wearing black represents that it’s
difficult for them to be together or is different from all others….so it’s not
posst to have hopes for her….

• Togo (movie on history time)

Togo is a 2019 movie based on the life of a sled dog in the year 1925 were he
accomplished for something that is truly ' Remarkable ' according to it’s owner
Leonard Sappala. The milestone he set that day along with the other sled dogs
led Togo a mention as the ' Fastest dog '. Born on 17 October 1912 was a dog
that was comparatively weaker in the early ages of it’s existence, but fast…very
fast. Filled with energy and will to survive even in the darkest of times and the
weakest of potentials. Togo was described as a ‘ ' 'retarded' by Leonard in the
beginning and also tried to give him away -twice, but Togo had other plans and
always found a way to find his master, breaking through window glass, making a
burrow, or even jumping off the roof just to go for his master that first
underestimated, not his speed but his will, faith and love. The understanding
between these two became exceptional when once Togo was made to ride with
the sled team of the other dogs even when he was 8 months old, Togo thought
the other of the pack will bully him so Togo will stop this, instead Togo started
licking the furious force and the pack became his friend…..and without even a
slightest fo doubts stood in front of the pack. Leonard brought Togo at the back
but to his surprise Togo outrunned all and was so made the leader of the sled.
One of the most emotional momentsin the movie where Leonard said,” Togo,
you never underestimated you”. Everything between them….grew.
It was a dark period for the people living in Northern Alaska, the children there
were affected by Diptheria disease to which the hospitals there had no cure,
though the cure was ready but it was too far a distance to cover. Though
different and innovative modes of transportation were already existing along
with the airplane but all there were helpless due to the Giant Storm, which
Togo sensed when the sled team of Leonard were returning from a sled ride to
bring in particular, it is the nature of husky's and wolf’s to run after goats and
antelopes, that day instead of going after them, Togo ran past them ignoring
which in their connection help Leonard speculate that that storm is something
not to be played with. Having reached the village he found out of the Diptheria
outbreak among little children and since no serum was present, the kids had no
chance of survival. And so as there was no transportation and no other was
willing to make the run from the serum from the nearby district. Togo was 12
years old at that time and so there was uncertainty in Leonard’s mind too….this
journey can be difficult. “ I am so heartsick that these are my last hours with
him”, Leonard said.leonhard was more attached to Togo than he knew.
The journey they had undergone, all the shots and sequences, the set design,
everything was deeply noticed in making of the movie. But the fact that Togo is
based on real life events adds to the overall excitement of the flick as now the
actions filmed were the actions performed, lived and lived to tell. They ran over
thin ice, they almost dropped off of the snowy cliff, ran through the snow
where it was grudgingly difficult to see……hard hard it was……but there was
Togo, he ran and ran and ran, even when Leonard passed out, he
ran…………….and reached with the serum. Balto was a dog who ran for 31 miles
for his master, Togo ran for 300 miles in that run , the longest ever…and ever
will be…..serum was brought in time and the children were saved, win-win right,
not quite so, Togo was hurt, storm took the best of him and so…..in few years
he passed away, Togo lived the rest of the years trading little pupps to ride,
Togo had his own pupps and were considered as the best of the race for their
intelligence and stamina and shear will to live, to thrive, to win, to sled and as
Leonard quoted“ I always thought he lived for the sled, what he lived for, was
me.”
1. Disney movies have always succeeded in making this inseparable connect
with it’s masses with the movies they make, an emotional ride where
everything was tested, believe , sentiment ,will ,determination, tenicity,
and most of all the connection of love that was once established never
depleted, the greatest of the storms, the hurtfull circumstances, all was
small in front of them…them ,together. The run which the sled team of 8
dogs lead by Togo and guided by Leonhard Seppala do 300 miles was the
called the ' 1925 Serum Run To Nome'.

• Kala Ghoda Festival studies

Kala Ghoda Art festival is a nine days long annual art festival held in the Kala
ghoda region of South Mumbai, always beginning on the first Saturday of
February and closing on the second Sunday of the month. The cultural fest
celebrates varied art forms including, music, dance , theatre, also workshops
regarding arts, seminars etc., that are very beautifully designed once a person
needs to put their stress aside and come forth just for fun and broadening their
scope. A person if truly enjoys and absorbs and actually take in a lot, be it art,
emotions, lessons and a revived way of thinking.
The festival that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world is
organized by the Kala Ghoda Association and the festival had its origin in 1999.
One of the important intention to organize this event is draw attention
towards the development of the area by improving the infrastructure,
restoring the beauty in the buildings. The location of the festival also facilitates
the viewers a lumpsum satisfied satisfaction as it is near National Gallery of
Modern Art and Jahangir Art Gallery.

To begin with we were welcomed by the most

protective security….checked our bags made us
go through the metal detectors and
scanners…..just to make sure we wouldn’t spoil
the Kala Ghoda…..took our scissors.
But also there was this kala ghoda welcoming to
the interior of the festival…..who was very
vibrant.

Next moving onto the interior of the

festival……we witnessed some very interesting
installations talking ,depicting and enlightening
us with their motives to bring change to our
thinking, teaching us , taking us to a nostalgic period, and to mere knowing
something to thinking about it more…..all the installations had a very distinct
and specific motive which was vey successfully displayed and crafted to evoke
the emotions which the installations had in
us….

So…. With the drum rolls lets begin with

our talks about the installations

• The installation was about how our

childhood was actually ……the shows we
used to watch the games we used to
play ,indoor and outdoor at the top of
the installation we saw all the
games….in the middle was the
playground and at the bottom making
use of the tyres and painting on them
were our indoor games and TV shoes we were all mad about……it was
truly nostalgic.

• Up next was the installation about

how the speedy industrialization was
affecting the aquatic life and in a very
sustainable manner they made the
installation where they depicted the
jelly fishes representing aquatic life
getting extinct and the outward u
shaped thing representing their
immobility to do anything as all the
waste is discharged in the ocean and
they cannot go anywhere to protect
themselves.

• Next was an
installation which
provided us a chance
to add beauty to it
according to our own
ways…..allowing us
add sometings to it to
make it a bit
personalized or add a
tint of ourselves to
the structure so that it
isn’t a mere structure
mad of a group of
people be emotions of many.
• The next installation was brought in
wors by the Asianpaints and about
their belief regarding the blue
color…depicting blue is not just a
color, or a shade, or reference…. It is
much more….it tells us about
moments, life , attitude, it is limitless
sky, celebration……basically
embracing the color blue and its
beauty.

• Again there was an installation to

protect the aquatic life by not
capturing it and just let them
be…..we as humans need to behave
as humans and not hunters and
hunt down these species.
Nest were small installations like
bird nests which are empty as they
are dying because of all these
radiations which are prevailing now
a days because of advancement in
communication media.

An installation bout
time was most amusing as it told about the
balance……time is always moving and so we must with
it….the thing is most things in life require more time to be
given and to fill the requirement what we do is we don’t
emphasize on safety…or any other important yet less
focused ore cared stuff…..and what it shoes is an hour
sand clock which people are trying to stop.
Kala Ghoda Festival had a lot to show up for but many was a blessing in
disguise ,Not only the experience was pure magic but also the learnings
derived throughout this journey, from the main enterance to the back exit, I
would want to remember everything i came across , the installations talked
about what not, happiness, climate , thought ,nature, fauna, mind, addiction,
obsession, culture , traditions, which in all provided a lumpsum lot to be
remembered
The techniques used in making those installations, it was all in complete
harmony, the installations were depicting what they were made for, some
were easy while some were complex in understanding, to all the artists, a great
job.

Well it was a mesmerizing experience as we can find beauty in everything and

understanding in depth always.

Craft chosen : coconut art and craft
Indian Craftsman:
INDIA……has always been so confident about its arts cos each of the arts in
India has its heritage and some backing of where it originated ….the craft is
rich and the people love to have it , wear it, use it , but everything in India
comes with a but….a reason….something that is always lacking and that is ..not
the quality…..its the condition of the craftsman who are making it……the ones
who are the craftlines of the art are struggling with mere basic needs of
livelihood…..it is hard for them to maintain….they love the art so much that
they still do it…..it brings them pleasure ….some part might just be from the
fact that what else……the true condition of craftsman in India is all not fun as
the art itself…..some craftsman are too old and after them no one knows how
the art will work cos it required a lot of time for him to learn the artwork
…….and yes so they also want the price for their hardwork…..but people don’t
buy the stuff…..so easily…..we adapted to the modern ways of clothing and in
the process left behind our own traditional style ………and well it was
somewhere for the better and also now a days there are many designers who
are trying to incorporate those craftsman’s skills onto their own way of designs
where these craftsman’s…..the make in India initiative is helping the
craftsman’s but in the end the costumers have to buy……also the craftsman are
so in love with their art that they don’t want to decrease the qulity…..it is hard
but the present craftsman are more practical and are willing to do or are
forced to let go in one of the qualities……it is sad…
The problems are innumerable so it is up to well, the choices, the one that
comes for our the gut…. The true methods to evolve will help up retain the
original as well as the new craft……no master wants his disciple to lag in his art
……they need to know their own talents…. and the costumers……is for how
much they want it for and
So there were many craftsman who displayed their works at spectrum
……they were for sale for showcasing their skills and provided a great deal of
knowledge…though they didn’t speak much………our work was to understand
what they are not saying ,so the display was as.
The woman that had her display was from Goa,
her name was Sonali Shatgaonkar originally
from Pilerne, Goa. She and her husband have 3
children and also do a part time job in a
hotel…their earing’s are low because most of
the people don’t buy stuff of such craftsman
and prefer the Chinese products was the first to
start the coconut art in the family the display
there had many beautiful stuff made out of
coconuts …the shop had pen holders made of
the shape of mushrooms ,bottle caps were also
used to make candle stands, there were showpieces like turtles
,cups, water jugs and other accessories which were sustainable by all means.

Something about the art….

As discussed in the class sir told us that the designers feel ..so too
make it more understanding we rather than
needing to know the skills thoroughly know the
essence of how the process happens and then
work with the questions…..to find deep
answers….associated with that craft or any
other crafts….cos any job is one way or the
other a craft…

What is a craft?
So it is an activity performed by making
something which is in three dimentional form
By making use of our hands…not drawn.
