Unit topic: Love letter to an artist/ artwork
Part I: Define goal for the lesson
What is the focus of this Discuss about the artwork, art technique, art history style, art
lesson? movement, and artist life.
State learning standard(s):  Students rely on personal observations and perceptions,
which are developed through increasing visual literacy and
sensitivity to surroundings, communities, memories,
imaginings, and life experiences, as sources for thinking
about, planning, and creating original artworks.
 Students communicate their thoughts and ideas with
innovation and creativity.
 Through art, students challenge their imaginations, foster
critical thinking, collaborate with others, and build reflective
skills.
 While exercising meaningful problem-solving skills, students
develop the lifelong ability to make informed judgments.

Goal(s) of the lesson: Each student will write a love art letter to an artist/ artwork
that they like or appreciate the most from the artbooks that given by
the teacher (the letter doesn’t need to be a full page but must be
more than 2 sentences).
Part 2: write the objective for the lesson
Specific learning targets/ 1. Students can pick an artwork/ artist that they like.
objectives: 2. Students will use artistic terminology to apply in there
writing.
3. Students will be discovering the new things, or perhaps
learn more about the work of art or the artists’ life.

Part 3: Teaching the lesson


Title of lesson: Body of the lesson
Love letter to an artist/ artwork
(during valentine day).

Objective: Procedure:

Day 1
 Students will learn how to write a letter. Teacher show the
students the letter format.
 Student will learn how to talk about the
artwork and engaging into the Student will then look at

 Artist is a person who does art such as
sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramic,
computer art.
 See, Think, Wonder is a strategy that
developed out of Harvard’s Project Zero.
It was originally developed with a view
to help children think critically about
art and artwork, though I use it across
my program and have found it
particularly effective during inquiry
projects.
