Job description​ ​I​ UI Designer   

Overview 
 
We are looking for a senior level user interface designer to join our product team.  
The role requires someone who has the skills and confidence to design complex mobile 
user interfaces while collaborating closely with the product and dev team.

Goalsetter is a fast growing startup with a goal-based savings, financial literacy and smart 
spending platform, made just for kids and powered by those who love them. Led by a 
Stanford alum who was a former ESPN and Nickelodeon executive, Tanya Van Court 
launched Goalsetter because she has a burning passion around closing the wealth gap for 
every kid in America.   
 
Because kids who have savings accounts are 6X more likely to go to college, and 4X more 
likely to own stocks as young adults, Goalsetter believes that we can lead a movement to 
prepare every kid in America for a healthy financial future by getting a savings account with 
game-based financial literacy into their hands. 
 
Goalsetter uniquely engages kids from all backgrounds in understanding how to build 
wealth and learn financial language by offering fun, quiz-based games that are developed 
using memes and gifs from hip-hop artists, social media influencers and pop culture 
personalities.   
  
Goalsetter also offers a teen and tween debit card - the Cashola Card - that attaches 
financial literacy quizzes to the card so that the card automatically freezes if the kid hasn't 
taken their financial literacy quiz for the week.

Responsibilities 

- Designing user center mobile UI for Goalsetter app. 

- Designing high definition prototypes. 
- Strengthen the product branding. 
- Collaborating to create and maintain a Design Language, System, and Component 
Library. 
- Defending design decisions across all teams. 
 

Requirements 
 
- 5+years of experience designing UI. 
- 5+years Experience working with mobile product teams. 
- Experience working in fintech business (desirable) 
- Updated with the latest UI mobile trends (libraries, components). 
- Basic knowledge of animation design (After effects, desirable). 
- Degree in graphic design, industrial design, web design, or similar. 
- Mastery of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe suite, Invision). 
- Experience working with user persona.  
- Strong communication and presentation skills. 
- Ability to articulate design decisions. 
- Upper/ intermediate English (speaking and written). 
- Portfolio link that demonstrates experience delivering high quality mobile products 
in an agile environment.
