Hero Mode: Ant-Man’s shrinking ability ensures he can get past obstacles (and hordes) that would otherwise

present a problem to other Super Heroes. He can easily sneak past the zombies, flying on an ant so he can get quickly to where he’s needed. And even if a zombie spots
Ant-Man Hero him, this bite-size meal doesn’t really attracts them all that much.
Zombie Mode: Players will have a hard time drawing a bead on tiny Ant-Man, placing him last in target priority order. But being small doesn’t make him weak, as his quick and powerful attacks can target all Zombie Heroes around him.

Baron Zemo Hero HERO MODE: A master strategist and gifted swordsman, Baron Zemo brings a mixture of tactical prowess and combat strategy to any team. He's already used to being ten steps ahead of most Super Heroes, how much easier will that be now that they lack even those brains?
ZOMBIE MODE: Employing his master strategies to take down the Zombie Heroes, Zemo might not directly act himself, instead using others around him as pawns in his plans.

HERO MODE: When Dr. Hank McCoy became Beast, he became the perfect combination of brains, brute strength, and agility. It allows him dive into the front line of the battles, taking out swathes of zombies, all the while dodging incoming attacks and staying one step ahead of
Beast Hero zombie rushes.
ZOMBIE MODE: With his combined toughness and agility, Beast is a difficult target for players to take down. He’ll often just ignore the hits Zombie Heroes direct at him.

Beast Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: While the good doctor is usually a mix of brains and brawn, in his zombie form the hunger has caused him to become far more primal, tapping into his beastly nature to perform devastating feats of acrobatics and agility, all in the pursuit of his next meal.
HERO MODE: Sporting a high toughness, this rampaging threat also has agility to boot. Should Super Heroes wander too close, Beast won’t wait for them to make the first move, instead directly engaging and attacking them first!

Black Bolt Hero HERO MODE: A potent ranged fighter, Black Bolt features a number of area control/area-of-effect style Skills, granting him the ability to take out hordes of zombies or focus his blast into a singular damaging force.
ZOMBIE MODE: Black Bolt channels his power into his “Sonic Scream”, which is not only a potent ranged attack, but capable of disrupting the Skills of Zombie Heroes around him!

Zombie Mode: Though the Hunger consumes him, it has not dampened his power. He can deliver massive damage at range via the quasi-sonic blast of his voice, and he can channel ambient particles and electrons into super-charged Devour attacks. On top of that, he carries
Black Bolt Zombie around the severed undead head of his lover Medusa, wielding it to trap his enemies with her inhuman hair.
Hero Mode: Black Bolt channels his Hunger into greater feats of destruction and power based on the player Heroes’ Danger Level.

Hero Mode: It is said that cats have nine lives, but Black Cat isn’t willing to lose any of those to the zombie hordes. Possessing supernatural luck, she can escape from the deadliest situations. And her attacks just seem to have a knack for hitting their target, no matter how unlikely
Black Cat Hero that may be.
Zombie Mode: Her supernatural luck can keep Black Cat coming back to the fight and help her dodge the Zombie Heroes’ attacks.

ZOMBIE MODE: As she’s now a zombie, one might think Black Cat’s luck has run out. But if she ends up on the winning side of this struggle, isn’t that good luck? Her supernatural luck is still at her side, helping her satiate her hunger with infallible attacks and fortunate SHIELD
Black Cat Zombie spawns.
HERO MODE: Misfortune seems to haunt any Super Hero that decides to go against Black Cat, as their attacks will tend to miss time and again.

Black Knight Hero HERO MODE: Tapping into the Ebony Blade, Black Knight can gain additional boosts of power when needed, but this comes at a cost. The blade demands violence and bloodlust, and should it not be sated, it can lead to devastating effects to the user!
ZOMBIE MODE: As the violence and carnage increases, so too does the fury and bloodlust of Black Knight. Should he not be dealt with quickly, his power will only continue to grow, becoming a major threat to the Zombie Heroes.

Hero Mode: Black Panther’s vibranium claws can tear through any enemy, rolling extra dice for each 6 rolled. His combat reflexes allow him to spend Power to perform extra attacks whenever an enemy enters his zone. When his suit’s kinetic feedback kicks in, it can possibly
Black Panther Hero prevent Wounds and eliminate zombies attacking him.
Zombie Mode: Black Panther is always ready to respond to the zombie threat at the level required. He gains extra Actions as the players’ Treat Level rises, making him increasingly more deadly.

Hero Mode: Natasha is a deadly assassin capable of taking down even the hardest of foes with precision strikes. She knows she doesn’t have the superpowers to stand against the Zombie Heroes, so she more than makes up for it with her spy skills, which allow her to anticipate
Black Widow Hero the enemies’ moves and evade their assault.
Zombie Mode: Black Widow moves in the shadows and strikes before players even know she’s there. She spawns on the last activated Zombie Hero and may be able to immediately wound them.

ZOMBIE MODE: An expert at taking down any target, Black Widow specializes in finding the weak points of larger enemies, granting her benefits when targeting Guards as well as Super Heroes. Combine this with expert reflexes that have not lessened at all with her undead-state,
Black Widow Zombie and you have the full package of speed and lethality!
HERO MODE: One of the world’s best assassins, but now with the additional benefits of being already dead. When she spawns, she has the chance to make a surprise attack on the closest Super Hero, taking a quick bite out of them!

Blade Hero Hero Mode: Grit and determination make Blade one of the toughest characters in the game. Being a half-vampire doesn’t hurt either. His sword attacks can cut through hordes of zombies, and his Dhampir physiology helps him withstand wounds dealt by the undead.
Zombie Mode: Blade’s vampire hunter skills translate remarkably well to hunting zombies. He can sense when Zombie Heroes go Ravenous, granting him additional Actions to hunt the players.

Bullseye Hero HERO MODE: Bullseye is deadly at any range. His attacks are sure to hit, no matter how far his zombie target is. This allows Bullseye to keep control of the board while keeping himself out of harm’s way. And if things get out of hand, he always has a trick or two up his sleeves.
ZOMBIE MODE: If he can see you, he can attack you. Bullseye’s attacks have unlimited range, so players need to either hide away, or rush him quickly!

Zombie Mode: Bullseye never misses his target, and he makes sure his decaying body doesn’t interfere with his deadly aim. Few can protect a target once he sets his sights on it, allowing him to reach even the most well-guarded Bystanders. Bullseye is great at keeping the
Bullseye Zombie advancing SHIELD Agents at bay by striking them down from a safe distance.
Hero Mode: Facing Bullseye at range is always very dangerous, but as a zombie he’s even more vicious if the players allow him to close the distance.

HERO MODE: No matter how dire the situation gets, Steve Rogers remains a bulwark for his allies. When the chips are down and all seems lost you can count on the Captain America to save the day, protecting his allies with his Vibranium Shield, launching his potent ricochet
Captain America Hero attacks, putting Bystanders and allies before himself as he nobly jumps in the way.
ZOMBIE MODE: Ever the inspiring figure, Captain America leads the S.H.I.E.L.D. Troopers against the Zombie Heroes, granting them additional Actions.

Zombie Mode: Captain America’s mighty Vibranium Shield is a very versatile piece of equipment. While it’s perfectly well-suited for bashing enemies, it’s obviously great at protecting Cap and his allies from attacks. The Shield attacks can also be boosted with a little ricochet, which
Captain America Zombie allows it to also target another adjacent zone. Being a zombie didn’t dampen Captain America’s leadership skills, as he can make other Zombie Heroes perform free actions during his turn.
Hero Mode: Cap’s leadership extends to the hordes of Madroxes, as any Multiple Man adjacent to him gains an extra action when they activate.

Captain Marvel Hero HERO MODE: Using photon blasts to vaporize the zombie threats, Captain Marvel is a devastating front-line fighter. Able to utilize her unique Skills such as the “Danvers’ Special” to dive right into the thick of the fight, she is a fantastic addition to any team.
ZOMBIE MODE: Always there to protect the innocent, players trying to make a quick meal of Bystanders will find it difficult, as any time they move into a Bystander’s Zone, Captain Marvel will respond, heroically jumping in the way to protect those around her.

Zombie Mode: Captain Marvel is quite good at dealing with crowds. By combining her mighty punches with an energy blast, she eliminates extra S.H.I.E.L.D. Troopers or Specialists with each attack. The Danver’s Special maneuver allows her fly through a couple zones and dive
Captain Marvel Zombie straight into the fray with a free attack. Whenever she would be wounded, Captain Marvel can use her Energy Absorption to increase her Hunger instead.
Hero Mode: Captain Marvel goes straight to the point, she’s hungry and she wants to feed. When she spawns, she flies straight to the nearest Bystander, ready for her meal.

HERO MODE: Carnage might not seem like the "rescuing" type… And that's because he isn't. While capable of manipulating his appendages into a plethora of weapons, his most defining Skill is his disregard for human life, using Bystanders as a resource just as much as any
Carnage Hero zombie would!
ZOMBIE MODE: The higher the level of chaos, the greater the CARNAGE. Pray that Carnage does not appear when the Danger Level is too high, as he will become all the more powerful!

Hero Mode: Colossus’ pummeling fists can lay waste to zombies around him, and his tough organic steel body allows him to spend Power in order to ignore Wounds. He’s able to slam the ground with such force that the an entire horde can be crushed at once. But his signature
Colossus Hero move is without a doubt the Fastball Special, which he uses to throw another Super Hero across the board to make a surprise attack on the unsuspecting zombies!
Zombie Mode: Players will have a very hard time hitting Colossus with enough force to put him down. But more than that, he uses his steel body and immense strength to move as if the walls weren’t even there.

Colossus Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: Being a zombie already brings a certain level of resilience, but Colossus already had that in spades. Now driven by the Hunger, Colossus has no fear of wading directly into hordes of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents and Super Heroes alike, looking for his next meal.
HERO MODE: A steel-plated zombie is trouble. When fighting Colossus, only the strongest blows will be able to actually make a dent, forcing Super Heroes to spend additional Power to even attempt to damage him!

HERO MODE: Crossbones isn't just your regular mercenary. While he is versed in the usage of most weapons, he is also a brilliant combat tactician. Perhaps his most useful trait, though, is his sheer willingness to sacrifice anyone, teammate or Bystander, should it provide an
Crossbones Hero advantage to himself.
ZOMBIE MODE: Crossbones can deal heavy damage to the Zombie Heroes but knows well enough to not put himself in the front line, not when there are so many noble S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents around who are willing to "protect" him instead (willingly or not!).

HERO MODE: When taking control of Cyclops in Hero Mode, you will find yourself in control of a potent mix of ranged attacks and team-inspiring capabilities, whether its blasting hordes of zombies with your Optic Blast or granting bonus Actions to your teammates via his Mutant
Cyclops Hero Leader Skill.
ZOMBIE MODE: While he isn’t the toughest opponent, he more than makes up for it by bringing high damage-dealing ranged attacks to the fray, capable of not only hitting one target but all those standing in the way as well!

Zombie Mode: Cyclops’ Optic Blast is a great ranged attack, which gets even better when focused by increasing Hunger in order to gain extra range and snipe specific targets. Those attacks can be further augmented by performing an Optic Wave, targeting an extra zone. Cyclops
Cyclops Zombie may be a zombie, but he’s still a natural leader, pushing his fellow Infected to perform extra actions.
Hero Mode: Holding up his severed head high in the air allows Cyclops to fire his Optic Blast at players with considerable range, and packing quite a punch.

Hero Mode: Whereas all versions of Daredevil carry a level of grit and ruggedness to them, Marco Checchetto’s version of Daredevil really exemplifies those traits. This version of Daredevil has a much more rough-and-tumble playstyle, giving up some of the reactionary Skills of his
Daredevil Hero other versions for a more direct “hard-to-take-down” bruiser-style.
Zombie Mode: This Daredevil is no-nonsense when it comes to dispatching Zombie Heroes, combining a higher-than-average Toughness with retaliatory capabilities.

Daredevil Hero HERO MODE: Matt Murdock’s innate drive to uphold justice has kicked into high gear with the zombies rampaging through the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. Daredevil uses his incredible agility and grapple batons to move around quickly, evading the enemy and rescuing those in need.
ZOMBIE MODE: Players would do well to be on their best behavior when Daredevil is prowling around, as he gains additional Actions whenever Bystanders are devoured.

Zombie Mode: If Matt Murdock had no fear before, now that he’s a zombie he can be downright reckless. He uses his amazing agility to jump in and out of danger with great ease. Whereas Daredevil used to use his Grapple Baton to save those around him, it now offers a quick line
Daredevil Zombie to pull in potential prey.
Hero Mode: Daredevil uses his enhanced senses to hunt Super Heroes, pouncing on them seemingly out of nowhere, as he gets activated whenever a Rush card is drawn.

Daredevil Elektra Hero Hero Mode: Now taking up the mantle of The Woman Without Fear (which also happens to be a Skill name) this version of Elektra trades some of the precision/target priority tricks of other versions for a more agile hit-and-run style gameplay.
Zombie Mode: Weaving in and out of engagements, this threat is sure to frustrate if appearing near groups of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents, as she will continuously duck in and out of combat to deal wounds while keeping herself a moving target!
HERO MODE: Reduce them to ash, it’s the only way to be certain. Dark Phoenix is capable of immolating the undead around her, making short work of any threat. The more power she has, the more potent this ability. Combine this with the full might of the Phoenix Force and you
Dark Phoenix Hero have one of the deadliest mutants on the planet.
ZOMBIE MODE: Like her namesake says, Dark Phoenix constantly rises from the ashes, refusing to be vanquished by the zombie forces. Once she has spawned, she will continue to respawn for the remainder of the game! Once a threat, always a threat!

Dead Pool Hero HERO MODE: He's got two Katanas and is all like KRA-KOW!!! HIYAAAA!!! SWISH!!! And they're all like "BRAAINNNSSS!!!!" and he's all like "NOT TODAY, ZOMBIE!" and then they're dead… But like for reals this time.
ZOMBIE MODE: Taking down Deadpool is, like, a piece of cake. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, no. It means the only way to really get rid of him is to Devour him to the last piece. Otherwise, he’ll just pop back up right after being defeated

Zombie Mode: Wielding his dual katanas, (un)Deadpool slices and dices mobs of enemies. He’s adapted well to the Hunger, being able to increase it at will to draw extra Zombie Traits. The Merc with a Mouth is still as annoying as ever, even as his mouth decays, taunting enemies
Dead Pool Zombie towards him so the other Zombie Heroes can evade them. Deadpool is notoriously hard to put down for good, being able to avoid elimination and even counter-attacking.
Hero Mode: Even after eliminating Deadpool, he’s still an undead nuisance. His piece remains on the board, laid on its side, attempting to attack any Super Hero foolish enough to enter his zone.

Hero Mode: Victor is a fearsome leader who can get the task done, even if it means using his allies as resources. Doctor Doom brings pragmatic solutions to the zombie outbreak. Most of his abilities impose some cost to the other Super Heroes, though what he’s able to get out of
Doctor Doom Hero it through his techno sorcery certainly makes it worth it (at least in his eyes).
Zombie Mode: When facing Doctor Doom, his commanding abilities turn the SHIELD Agents into truly lethal enemies, as he constantly shuffles Extra Activation and Rush cards back into the Spawn deck. And besides that, he’s just incredibly tough.

Doctor Doom Zombie Zombie Mode: Death cannot stop Victor Von Doom! Even as a zombie his brilliant tactical mind exerts control over allies and enemies alike. His dominion over science and magic grant him power over life and death to bring fear into the heart of any surviving Super Hero.
Hero Mode: The leader of Latveria becomes the leader of the zombies, using the undead hordes as pawns for his nefarious plans.

Hero Mode: Eight limbs are better than four, and Doctor Octopus utilizes his mechanical arms to quickly move around the board as well as keep out of reach of the zombie hordes. While not normally in his nature, snapping Bystanders out of danger is made much easier with the
Doctor Octopus Hero long reach of his tentacles.
Zombie Mode: Otto Octavius knows he’s just a man, and makes sure to use his tentacles to keep the zombies as far away from him as possible. Players attacking him will often find themselves flung far away.

Zombie Mode: Doctor Octopus may be undead, but his mechanical arms are still as lively as ever. They carry him around dextrously, helping him evade pursuing S.H.I.E.L.D. squads. And when he gets hungry, Otto Octavius doesn’t need to go out of his way, his tentacles can lash
Doctor Octopus Zombie out and ensnare those around him, bringing them to him.
Hero Mode: Doctor Octopus grabs Bystanders and Super Heroes from a distance, pulling them in for a quick bite.

Hero Mode: Doctor Strange’s Mystic Bolts can strike from a distance. Using precognition, Strange can spend Power in order to discard a dangerous Spawn Card and draw another. Opening dimensional portals, he is able to teleport himself or others out of zones crowded with
Doctor Strange Hero zombies. As Sorcerer Supreme, Powering Up has the side effect of eliminating nearby Runners or Walkers, and he can even spend Power to perform extra attacks.
Zombie Mode: Doctor Strange is a foe the players should prioritize in taking down quickly. Using his magic portal he can teleport new S.H.I.E.L.D. agents into the field, acting as a mobile spawn point.

ZOMBIE MODE: What happens when the Sorcerer Supreme joins the undead? Well, some pretty dark stuff. Once using his powers of teleportation to protect mankind, now the zombified Doctor Strange makes quick access routes to potential food! S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents will have a
Doctor Strange Zombie hard time tracking him down as he bends reality to his will.
HERO MODE: Facing off against zombie Doctor Strange is an unpredictable affair, as he uses his dimensional portals to teleport himself and nearby zombies into Super Heroes' zones.

HERO MODE: The Destroyer, the Titan-Killer. Drax focuses on the big threats while his allies clean up the hordes. He has the toughness to go toe-to-toe with the worst of the Zombie Heroes, and his brutal melee attacks are able to concentrate enough damage to bring down some
Drax Hero of the biggest foes out there.
ZOMBIE MODE: Drax is obstinate about taking down the deadliest enemies. To that effect, he gains additional Actions based on how Hungry and powerful the nearby Zombie Heroes are.

Zombie Mode: Drax was already known as The Destroyer before he succumbed to the zombie virus, but now he’s even more resilient and obstinate than ever. Basically, Drax is tough, even for a zombie, and as his Hunger grows, the easier it is for him to shrug off even the most
Drax Zombie devastating of wounds.
Hero Mode: Don’t attempt to engage Drax unless you are absolutely-positively sure that you can take him out, because each failed attempt is just going to make the next try that much worse for the Super Hero!

Electro Hero HERO MODE: Electro’s tactics of shock and awe can be quite effective against the zombies. Using his mastery over electricity, he can not only electrocute the enemy to take them out, but also more strategically stun them so they are out of commission for a while.
ZOMBIE MODE: The crackling air should be a warning for players to stay away from Electro, as his electricity attacks can over a wide area around him. More so, eliminating him can trigger a dangerous power overcharge.

Zombie Mode: While preferring to devour his foes, Electro is still not above tapping into his electric powers to stun them first. Nothing wrong with a little charred flesh. Even better, if his charge is strong enough, he might be able to get a chain reaction going, electrocuting several
Electro Zombie enemies standing too close to each other.
Hero Mode: Electro unleashes potent electrical attacks while stunning nearby Super Heroes, readying them to be devoured.

Elektra Hero Hero Mode: A master assassin, Elektra can get in, destroy her target, and make an escape before the zombies even know she was there. Her ninja skills allow her to evade pursuit, and her sai attacks are lethal and precise.
Zombie Mode: Elektra moves with deadly grace in her stalking of the Zombie Heroes. Whenever a Rush card is drawn, she gets to move again, closing in on the players when they least expect it.

ZOMBIE MODE: Adding more weapons to her arsenal in the form of her ravenous appetite, Elektra now doesn't need to worry about such inconveniences as "mortal wounds". Her assassin skills have only been heightened by the transformation, allowing her to sneak on
Elektra Zombie Bystanders and gobble them up right from under their escort.
HERO MODE: When hunting players, Elektra knows her best bet is going after what she perceives as easy prey. Any wounded Super Hero needs to be on their guard when Elektra is sneaking around.

HERO MODE: Being a World-Class Telepath, Emma Frost can use her various powers for a multitude of effects, ranging from creating powerful shields for herself and her allies to generating illusions to confuse enemies. Not to speak of turning her body into diamond to ignore
Emma Frost Hero damage!
ZOMBIE MODE: With her ability to track the Psionic emanations of living beings, Emma is capable of protecting nearby Bystanders. Combine this with powerful mind-controlling capabilities and she is a true threat to the Zombie Heroes!

Falcon Hero HERO MODE: Falcon is an incredibly mobile Super Hero, using his winged suit to swoop in and rescue those in need. Aided by his pet falcon Redwing, Sam Wilson offers amazing support capabilities for any team, assisting them wherever that’s required.
ZOMBIE MODE: Evading Falcon is an almost impossible task for the Zombie Heroes. When he spawns he immediately starts moving. And as you would expect, his movement is remarkably fast.

Zombie Mode: Taking to the sky, Falcon has turned from performing daring rescues to snatching up Bystanders as he soars through the streets. Falcon has little difficulty evading S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents and striking where he wants to, aided by the extra pair of hungry eyes of his
Falcon Zombie companion Redwing.
Hero Mode: Players will have a hard time keeping Bystanders safe, as Falcon quickly swoops in to feast on them.

Gambit Hero HERO MODE: With his bo staff and overcharged playing cards, Gambit is a threat at both range and in close combat, incorporating his skills to empower his attacks with Kinetic Energy to unleash devastating hits upon the zombie hordes!
ZOMBIE MODE: When Gambit appears, best take him out quickly, because the longer he is allowed to charge his cards, the more damage they will deal, potentially allowing him to take out a Zombie Hero in a single strike!

Gambit Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: With well-aimed and timed blasts from his Kinetic-Energy infused playing cards, Gambit can knock both Super Heroes and Bystanders around, either pushing them away, or getting them closer to his waiting maw.
HERO MODE: While he prefers his meals fresh, Gambit doesn't mind picking up the chunks left over from his kinetic playing cards. This Zombie Hero is a threat at range, capable of knocking players away, into the waiting jaws of other zombies!

Hero Mode: The adopted daughter of the Mad Titan is as relentless as she is deadly. When playing her you will have a potent combat master on your team capable of tackling any situation using a combination of her arsenal and lifetime of training. Better yet, through the use of her
Gamora Hero “Thanos’ Will” Skill, she also gains additional Power to fulfill her mission!
Zombie Mode: The most dangerous woman in the universe, Gamora can make quick work of even the toughest of Zombie Heroes if she engages them in melee combat, potentially gaining additional Attacks with each success of her own.

Zombie Mode: What is stronger than Thanos’ Will? Apparently the raw desire to consume flesh. Gamora, now turned by the zombie virus, uses her superior fighting skills to devour her prey and fulfil her missions. The surviving Super Heroes should pose no real threat to her
Gamora Zombie focused purpose.
Hero Mode: This isn’t a zombie you want to come across. Gamora will relentlessly track down each Super Hero on the map. Any attempt to escape her will just result in her pursuing all the more. Once you’ve made contact, you must stand and fight her!

Hero Mode: Johnny Blaze may just be the best-equipped hero to deal with a world overrun by zombies. His Mystical Chain can lash at the hordes from a distance, and his Hellfire can help keep them at bay. But more than anything, his Penance Stare has never been as effective as
Ghost Riider Hero when unleashing it on Zombie Heroes. Since they are all already consumed by the guilt of the victims they are compelled to devour, even the strongest Zombie Hero finds themselves at the mercy of their sins.
Zombie Mode: Zombie Heroes carrying the guilt of having devoured a Bystander will have a hell of a time facing off against the Ghost Rider’s deadly Penance Stare.

ZOMBIE MODE: Given Giant-Man’s size and stature, only a certain number of other game pieces can ever be in the same space as him (assuming he doesn’t just kick them all away!) and his colossal strength makes most barriers insignificant against his advances! As they say,
Giant-Man Zombie with great size, comes great hunger, and Zombie Heroes don’t come much bigger than Giant-Man, who can devour entire squads in a single bite.
HERO MODE: This colossal menace poses a major threat to the Super Heroes. Obstructions will do little to stop Giant-Man as he advances, this includes most doors, walls, and buildings. Worse yet, however, are the new pathways he leaves in his wake, allowing other enemies
easy access to once-protected Bystanders and Super Heroes!

HERO MODE: Pumpkin Bombs and a Goblin Glider will carry you far in the zombie outbreak when indiscriminate destruction is not only expected but supported. Norman Osborn is unleashed as a Super Hero that sows chaos wherever he goes. His glider gives him agility to
Green Goblin Hero outmaneuver the zombies, and his explosive arsenal can clear out entire mobs of zombies.
ZOMBIE MODE: The Green Goblin is a dangerous and unpredictable foe. Whenever a Rush cards is drawn, he’s able to attack any Zombie Heroes around him.

Zombie Mode: Causing chaos is all the more fun now that Green Goblin is a zombie. He divebombs his enemies for a quick meal, escaping amid the ensuing confusion. While he still has some pumpkin bombs left, he prefers to get up close and personal so he can use his super
Green Goblin Zombie strength to really sink his teeth into the problem.
Hero Mode: Pinning down the Green Goblin will be a challenge for players, as he disappears and reappears across the board, looking for his next meal.

Hero Mode: Groot has three Skills: “I Am Groot!” “I Am Groot!!” and “I Am Groot!!!” Combine these with his signature attack, “I Am Groot” and you can already see the combo potentials arising. With a biology seemingly custom made to take on the zombie hordes (being a tree and
Groot Hero all) Groot can stand against the onslaught to protect his teammates while delivering punishing crowd-control effects of his own.
Zombie Mode: It’s hard to eat a tree. Groot sports a high Toughness, and even when he’s taken down, he just sprouts again (although at a much smaller size and Toughness), creating a pest that cannot be ignored.

HERO MODE: You may think that taking on an invasion of Zombie Heroes, armed with a bow and arrow, doesn’t make any sense, but Clint Barton has the skills to make it work. Plus, he utilizes a wide array of trick arrows to deal with the zombie hordes in a variety of ways. From
Hawkeye Hero knock-back shots to explosive arrows, he is always prepared.
ZOMBIE MODE: Not only is Hawkeye able to hunt the players at range, but he may chain together a quick sequence of attacks, showering the Zombie Heroes with deadly arrows.

Hawkeye Zombie Zombie Mode: The city is in ruins, Clint Barton is a ravenous zombie, and he still has a bow and arrow. None of it makes sense. But hey, even when undead, you play to your strengths. And Hawkeye is an uncanny sharpshooter with an arsenal of trick weapons for every occasion.
Hero Mode: Hawkeye is great at running interference. He fires knockback arrows to push the Super Heroes around, making them easy prey.
Hulk Hero HERO MODE: SMASH!!!! Hulk is simple, he destroys anything that tries to eat him. Want raw power? You now have a Hulk. He’s a powerhouse that can lay waste to swathes of zombies with massive attacks.
ZOMBIE MODE: Taking down the Hulk is just about the hardest thing Zombie Heroes can do. Normal attacks don’t even phase him. The ONLY way to eliminate him is to successfully Devour him. Good luck with that.

Zombie Mode: Hulk was already green and angry, becoming a zombie didn’t faze him much. He can Smash enemies like no one else, considering all enemies to have 1 less Toughness than usual (minimum of 1). He is the strongest there is, and having living Super Heroes in his
zone only angers him more, allowing him to reroll his dice. His Thunderclap attack rolls more dice according to the size of the S.H.I.E.L.D. mob tackling him. Hulk’s control of his anger allows him to become Ravenous on command, performing a special free Devour attack that can
Hulk Zombie eliminate multiple enemies.
Hero Mode: Zombie Hulk is so tough that Super Heroes are unlikely to defeat him, even at maximum Power. Their best bet is to offer him a Bystander to munch on, reverting him back to Bruce Banner momentarily, who can be much more easily dealt with.

Hero Mode: Turns out it’s not an easy task to devour someone who's on fire, and Johnny Storm certainly uses that to his advantage. He can get into the thick of things, getting a wide berth from the less suicidal zombies. And should they try to snack on him anyway, they’re likely to
Human Torch Hero get brunt to a crisp.
Zombie Mode: The Human Torch needs to be put away quickly. Zombie players foolish enough to end their turn near him will automatically feel the burn.

Human Torch Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: Johnny Storm prefers his meals hot. Should enemies move into his Zone or attempt to attack while next to him, Human Torch can retaliate by literally turning up the heat, roasting all foes around him.
HERO MODE: The greater his appetite, the hotter the Human Torch burns, causing more damage to Super Heroes around him! This means that the later he shows up (aka, the higher the Danger Level) the more latent damage players will take for being around him!

HERO MODE: Iceman excels at using his glacial powers to neutralize the enemy. He’s able to freeze zombies in their tracks so they become easy targets or can be more easily avoided. Projecting ice ramps, he can create quick escape routes for himself and his allies as they slide
Iceman Hero away from danger.
ZOMBIE MODE: Facing off against Iceman can be as hard as skating uphill. He freezes the area around him so players must spend extra Actions to move while near him.

Zombie Mode: Iceman uses his ice beams to bring down enemies from a distance. They’re also useful to create ice slides that help him move around quickly. Using Cryokinesis he’s able to target distant zones and freeze all enemies in it. It turns out deep freezing your victims
Iceman Zombie makes it much easier to consume them. His Devour attacks can be infallible against anything but the strongest Super Hero.
Hero Mode: Freezing his surroundings, Iceman makes it harder for any player around him to hit their target.

Invisible Woman Hero Hero Mode: Becoming invisible certainly comes in handy when Sue Storm is trying to evade the zombie hordes. By projecting Psionic Force Fields, she’s able to not only shield and protects those around her from attacks, but also trap the zombies in energy bubbles.
Zombie Mode: The Invisible Woman acts as a moving force field, protecting herself and any other SHIELD Agents and Super Heroes in her Zone from players attempting to attack from a distance.

ZOMBIE MODE: Sue Storm has seen better days. Still, the Invisible Woman tends to go unseen most of the time, which actually comes in very handy when hunting people to devour! While her force fields can be used to keep her and her allies safe, they are now more commonly
Invisible Woman Zombie used to ensnare food.
HERO MODE: The Invisible Woman traps nearby Super Heroes and Bystanders in her force fields, preventing them from moving away as she closes in for the kill.

Iron Man Hero HERO MODE: Tony Stark is in full control of his amazing battle suit, using to its full potential. Using his repulsors he can blast zombies away from a distance. His high-tech arsenal allows him to stay at a safe range instead of diving into the thick of things.
ZOMBIE MODE: Iron Man is not one to make the sacrifice play. If players attack him but fail to eliminate him, he automatically falls back, forcing the Zombie Heroes to come to him.

Zombie Mode: Iron Man’s suit is still operational enough to make him a formidable force. Missile waves can rain fire from a distance, while the addition of his Repulsor blasts can push all enemies away from his zone. By performing evasive maneuvers, Iron Man can attack and
Iron Man Zombie immediately slip away from a crowd of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Eventually, his suit’s auto-control can even contain Tony enough that he’s able to operate normally even while Ravenous.
Hero Mode: Zombie Iron Man is a great deal of trouble to the Super Heroes. He can attack at range, and any attack that fails to eliminate him causes him to move away. Plus, cracking that tough armor will usually require the player to build up their Power.

HERO MODE: Jessica is of course no slouch when it comes to combat. Her strength puts her leagues above many other Super Heroes, and enhanced durability means she can usually take as much as she doles out. Far from a mindless brute, however, her capabilities as a
Jessica Jones Hero detective also make themselves known when being controlled by a player. Utilizing this skill, she can gain insight into potential incoming threats as well as discover previously hidden Bystanders!
ZOMBIE MODE: While possessing superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to fly, certainly comes in handy, her expert sleuthing skills are what separate her from the rest. Players will need to carefully consider their Activation Order when Jessica is on the case, as she will
respond to the first Zombie Hero to perform Actions!

HERO MODE: HE IS THE JUGGERNAUT! And that means he rushes headlong into any problem, leaving devastation in his wake as he smashes through the zombie hordes. His advance is nigh-unstoppable, as his momentum gives him Power the longer he’s able to charge
Juggernaunt Hero ahead.
ZOMBIE MODE: Juggernaut is unstoppable. He simply ignores any walls in his way as he charges headlong towards the Zombie Heroes!

Zombie Mode: Juggernaut is able to barrel through the enemies, body slamming them and using Hunger to keep moving and attacking in a crazed rampage. While charging he can automatically eliminate S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in each zone he enters, and eventually being able to
Juggernaut Zombie simply shrug off their attacks.
Hero Mode: Juggernaut is unstoppable. He gains extra Toughness as the players increase their Threat Level, possibly becoming just about the toughest enemy in the game.

HERO MODE: With her ability to phase in and out of a solid state, Kitty Pryde is pretty well equipped to handle the zombie apocalypse. Possessing Skills that make use of this power in various ways, she can slip past the hordes effortlessly as well as prevent harm to herself by
Kiitty Pryde Hero reactively phasing out when attacked. And speaking of attacks, Kitty’s companion, Lockheed, is always by her side to supply a healthy dose of fireblast.
ZOMBIE MODE: Utilizing her power to phase through walls, no Zombie Hero is safe when Kitty is on the prowl.

HERO MODE: Wilson Fisk is a natural leader, even if his leadership style might be a little more ruthless than the Super Heroes are used to. Nevertheless, the Kingpin gets results, pushing other Super Heroes into performing at the peak of their abilities. And while he might not want
Kingpin Hero to get his suit dirty, he’s no slouch at taking on the zombies up close and personal.
ZOMBIE MODE: Kingpin’s influence extends even into S.H.I.E.L.D., making sure he always has a few Guards to protect him when he spawns, and using them as shields as he stays at the very end of the Target Priority order.

Zombie Mode: Wilson Fisk’s hunger for power simply got replaced with a hunger for flesh, and he uses his immense strength to get exactly what he wants and shrugging off common attacks. The Kingpin maintained naturally a leadership role even after becoming a member of the
Kingpin Zombie zombie hordes, pushing his fellow Zombie Heroes to fulfil their tasks (even if he sees them more as his minions).
Hero Mode: Getting to the Kingpin was never an easy task, and that task is not made any easier for the Super Heroes now that he gets to use nearby zombies as meat shields.

Kraven Hero Hero Mode: Kraven is a master hunter and it’s open season against the zombies! While is certainly capable of dealing with the hordes, his heart is focused on taking down the big game. The stronger the enemy, the more powerful Kraven’s attacks become.
Zombie Mode: Kraven isn’t interested in the runts of the litter. When on the hunt, he will always track down the Zombie Hero with the highest Danger Level.

Kraven Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: Kraven’s instincts as a hunter have only grown since becoming a zombie. His mastery of combat styles aside, his desire to hunt down the deadliest prey is now a basic need. He gains additional bonuses if there is a nearby Super Hero to challenge him!
HERO MODE: While he must constantly sate his newfound hunger, he still prefers the thrill of hunting down the toughest prey. The higher the Danger Level, the more dangerous he becomes, especially if you happen to be the highest in play!

HERO MODE: Dr. Connors is still a brilliant scientist but turning into a giant Lizard carries great advantages when facing zombies. First and foremost is his ability to regenerate lost limbs (as long as the infection hasn't spread), so zombies taking a bite out of him won’t necessarily
Lizard Hero ruin his day. He’s also able to rip and tear through the hordes with his powerful close combat attacks.
ZOMBIE MODE: Taking the Lizard out for good is not such a simple task. If he’s eliminated by being Devoured, he immediately respawns.

Zombie Mode: The zombie outbreak has given the Lizard a new taste for human flesh, one that his reptilian physiology is quite apt for. His large maw is capable of dealing an incredible amount of damage, allowing him to Devour even the toughest of Super Heroes. And luckily his
Lizard Zombie lizard regeneration still helps keep him in (mostly) one piece while doing that.
Hero Mode: The Lizard’s deadly chomp attack deals extra wounds to the poor Super Hero that falls victim to it.

Hero Mode: Loki has faced the undead before and is more than ready to outsmart them. Bringing the full force of his illusions and spells he’s able to manipulate the zombie hordes in many ways, misdirecting them, and even turning them against each other. There’s no mischief he
Loki Hero cannot manage.
Zombie Mode: Attacking Loki can be an exercise in frustration. You strike true and believe to have eliminated him, only to see a S.H.I.E.L.D. Trooper fall to the ground and Loki grinning at you one Zone away.

Zombie Mode: The God of Mischief revels in his new condition, with his hungry mind focused on ruling over the zombie hordes. He uses his illusory powers to sow confusion among the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents sent to stop him, disrupting their orders and keeping them from executing
Loki Zombie dangerous Special Actions Spawn cards.
Hero Mode: Able to blend in with lesser zombies, players never know where Loki might be lurking until it is too late.

Luke Cage Hero HERO MODE: Iron Skin is a great skill to have when fighting zombies. Luke Cage brings that, as well as his pummeling fists, to the fight. Combine that with Skills that allow him to protect nearby Bystanders and Super Heroes alike and you have a potent force in the Hero for Hire!
ZOMBIE MODE: Iron Skin makes someone tricky to Devour. Zombies will find their ravenous bites ineffectual against Luke Cage, should they have to resort to that. Unfortunately, taking him out via Devour won’t reduce your Hunger!

ZOMBIE MODE: He used to protect people as a Hero for Hire, but now he smashes through any barriers in his way to seek out his next meal. Doors mean little against Luke Cage as he doesn’t need to spend additional actions to open them (he REALLY wants to consume those
Luke Cage Zombie Bystanders!). And then, well, his strength and toughness are still as great as ever.
HERO MODE: Despite being a self-referred “Street Level Hero for Hire”, Luke Cage can go toe-to-toe with most Super Heroes. Worse, his newfound zombie resilience makes him that much harder to bring down. Attacks that should otherwise be lethal might just end up stunning
the zombified Luke Cage, requiring extra hits to take him down for good!

Hero Mode: When heroes turn into zombies, even the worst villains get a chance at redemption (or at the very least, revenge). Using his magnetic powers, Magneto can shower a nearby zone with deadly shrapnel. Manipulating the metal around, he’s even able to spend Power to
Magneto Hero crush and adjacent zombie. His Power can be used to lift himself and his allies, flying them safely over the zombie hordes. But, more than anything, Magneto is a leader, being able push other Super Heroes to perform actions during his turn.
Zombie Mode: His magnetic attraction is no joke when players are fighting Magneto. When he activates, he can pull all players in a wide radius to his zone, ready to be crushed.

Magneto Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: Magneto utilizes his mastery of magnetism to block potential attacks from enemies outside his zone. He has also traded his former protection of his allies in favor of a new selection of Skills focusing on grabbing and magnetically pulling in prey to be devoured!
HERO MODE: Magneto uses his powers to pull Super Heroes into his waiting maw, leading to a devastating bite that few can recover from.

Mantis Hero Hero Mode: Almost strictly a support Super Hero, Mantis has a ton of effects that bolster and keep her allies in the fight. While she does provide some combat-capabilities of her own, her specialization is more on boosting those around her, and gaining benefits when they succeed.
Zombie Mode: Tapping into a Zombie Hero’s brain isn’t something that you usually want to do, but Mantis employs it to great effect by (temporarily) blocking the ravenous hunger within them, limiting the additional dice players have access to.

ZOMBIE MODE: While she does have her own form of martial arts training, Mantis has more of a focus on supporting her team, and that holds true even when her team is comprised of a bunch of flesh-hungry zombies. Mantis is able to (somewhat) control the Hunger of those
Mantis Zombie around her, either increasing it or limiting it when needed.
HERO MODE: Able to suppress the senses of those around her, nearby Super Heroes must be extra cautious, as they just won’t be able to react to the zombie hordes as quickly as they’re used to!
Hero Mode: He is still the expert assassin that he always was, but now a hunger (not zombie-related) of his own to take down Super Heroes has driven his determination… And while living Super Heroes might not be on the menu, there is a whole world of Zombie Heroes out there
Marshall Bullseye Hero to take down. This version of Bullseye is adept at taking down the large threats: Brutes and Zombie Heroes, leaving the common riff-raff to his teammates.
Zombie Mode: Seeking the most deadly quarry, Marshall Bullseye gains additional effects based on the Danger Level of nearby Zombie Heroes, as his excitement for battle grows ever higher!

HERO MODE: Setting him apart from Peter Parker’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales brings two new tricks to the zombie apocalypse: Bio-electrokenisis, which allows him to turn invisible to avoid detection by his enemies, and a powerful Venom Blast, granting him a concentrated
Miles Morales Hero electrical, well, blast, capable of frying all zombies around him!
ZOMBIE MODE: With his ability to turn invisible, Miles might randomly disappear from the battlefield, only to suddenly reappear to wreak havoc on the Zombie Heroes!

Hero Mode: There is no doubt that Reed Richards is an absolute genius. He puts that brainpower to good use not only for the gadgets he builds, but also with clever tactics to outsmart the zombies. More than that, Mister Fantastic brings his stretchy body to the table, being able to
Mister Fantastic Hero gather Bystanders and Objectives from range in order to evade the zombies.
Zombie Mode: Zombie Heroes will want to keep a very safe distance from Mister Fantastic, as his impossibly stretchy arms manage to pull everyone around him into his zone.

ZOMBIE MODE: A signature move of Mister Fantastic is his elastic arms… Now used in service of his own hunger! Mister Fantastic is able to tactically reposition both Bystanders and Super Heroes in the Zones around him, opening up vantages for his allies. It seems being dead
Mister Fantastic Zombie has had no impact on his super-intelligence!
HERO MODE: While he used his elastic powers to save those around him before succumbing to the zombie hordes, he now uses those same powers to ensnare and entrap nearby Bystanders and Super Heroes, pulling them into his waiting jaws!

HERO MODE: An avatar of the moon god Khonshu, Moon Knight has the power/curse of visions of the future… as long as he can tell which ones are real. This allows him some degree of foresight over the zombies’ actions. His dissociative identity disorder makes a wide variety of
Moon Knight Hero skills available to him, though his control over them is often tenuous.
ZOMBIE MODE: Moon Knight’s justice is inescapable. As long as he’s keeping his watch, the last Zombie Hero to activate each round is automatically wounded.

Moon Knight Zombie Zombie Mode: Moon Knight was already a little troubled in the head, so becoming a zombie didn’t make things much better. His multiple personalities make his skills quite versatile. He is still as deadly as he ever was, even if his god refuses to communicate with the undead.
Hero Mode: Still channeling the foresight granted by his god, Moon Knight predicts the Super Heroes’ every move and acts before them.

Morbius Hero Hero Mode: Morbius is a living vampire, not a zombie. There’s a big difference there. He is able to drain the power from his foes, even if they are among the recently deceased! This means his attacks help fuel even more powerful subsequent attacks, in a bloody feedback loop.
Zombie Mode: Morbius lust for blood means if any Zombie Heroes near him are wounded, he gains additional Actions to finish the job.

Hero Mode: Ms. Marvel’s extending fists allows some range to the player’s attack. She may use Power to grab Bystanders or other Super Heroes nearby and pull them into her zone. Her Morphogenetics allow her to spend power to move or even heal herself! It can also be used to
Ms. Marvel Hero perform a palm smash that rolls extra dice for each enemy in her zone.
Zombie Mode: Players must be careful when dealing with Ms. Marvel, as her elastic nature allows her to attack them from 2 zones away.

ZOMBIE MODE: Her desire to protect those around her has been replaced by a desire to devour all flesh. Ms. Marvel makes use of her stretchy limbs to snatch even the most well protected Bystanders. By enlarging her hand, she can deal powerful blows against swathes of
Ms. Marvel Zombie SHIELD Agents.
HERO MODE: As an Enemy, Ms. Marvel uses her extending limbs to pull Bystanders towards her in order to devour them. She’s not really interested in saving people anymore.

ZOMBIE MODE: Teamwork is essential, luckily, Madrox brings his own team with him! When playing as Multiple Man you will in fact control multiple Multiple Mans, sharing Actions among them as you progress across the map. Be warned, though, each one can be defeated
Multiple Man Zombie separately, and share Health across the whole. Of course, this does mean that strategic "sacrifices" can be made to achieve your goals...

Mysterio Hero Hero Mode: One never knows quite what is real around Mysterio, and that includes the zombie hordes. His greatest strength is in misdirecting the enemy with illusions that can slow them down, divert them, and even manipulate them to aid him in his missions.
Zombie Mode: Zombie Heroes will need to fight through a fog of illusion in order to get through to Mysterio. That means they have to spend additional Actions to attack while in his zone.

Mysterio Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: Mysterio strikes when you least expect it. He’s able to creates illusions to trick the players while he moves in for a quick bite.
HERO MODE: Being little more than a brain in a broken fishbowl has not stopped Mysterio’s ability to create illusions to keep the enemy distracted while he and his allies move in for the kill. His tricks have only become more devious, as he uses Bystanders (or the illusion of
Bystanders) to fool S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Super Heroes.

Hero Mode: Mystique can easily deal with any changing situation, using adaptive weapons for close combat or ranged attacks. Using her Shapeshifting she can easily disguise herself as one of the infected, moving safely among them. She’s also incredibly agile when all hell breaks
Mystique Hero loose, being able to take out enemies and immediately move out into safety. Her adaptability can even allow her to freely reroll all dice, ensuring success.
Zombie Mode: Facing Mystique is always unpredictable, as you don’t know which form she’ll take next. Every activation she draws a different Super Hero card and uses its ability as her own for that turn.

ZOMBIE MODE: Heroes never see her coming, as she can blindside them with tactical attacks when they least suspect them. While still maintaining her mix of melee and ranged, she now blends in with the still-living enemies on the map, only revealing herself when they are at
Mystique Zombie their most vulnerable, allowing her to make surprise Devour attacks!
HERO MODE: You never know where Mystique could be hiding… or as who. When she spawns, she isn’t spawned as normal, but now has the chance to replace a random Bystander you’re trying to save. Unfortunately, you might not uncover her before its far too late…

Namor Hero HERO MODE: A capable fighter, Namor has it all: power, speed, and the smarts to get any task done. If you want a mix of brawn and brain, then Namor is your Super Hero.
ZOMBIE MODE: Namor can initially perform several Actions each time he activates, making him an enormous threat to the players. However, the longer he stays on the board (and away from water) the less Actions he’s able to perform. So if you can evade his initial onslaught, you
just might stand a chance.

Zombie Mode: While the Hunger has taken him, Namor is actually at his strongest when he is NOT Ravenous. Unlike other Zombie Heroes who are always trying to stay within the top levels of their Hunger track, Namor’s natural abilities are actually depleted the hungrier he gets.
Namor Zombie He should be constantly devouring enemies in order to keep his powers at their maximum.
Hero Mode: A truly deadly foe, Namor requires the strongest of attacks to be defeated. Being away from his aquatic domain increases not only his hunger but also his thirst, granting him additional Actions the longer he is allowed to remain on the board.

HERO MODE: From the pages of Marvel Zombies: Resurrection comes Nana, a named Sentinel/caretaker of the Reeds’ children. For the player who always dreamed of controlling these massive robots, this is your chance, as Nana appears as a fully playable Super Hero, joining
Nana the Sentinel Hero the others to fulfill her protocols of protection. With Skills that allow her to safeguard those around her, she is still no slouch in combat, as, above all else, she is still a highly advanced weapon of war!
ZOMBIE MODE: As one more added bonus, Nana will also come with a unique enemy Spawn Card, so for those who still want to see a giant robot rampaging across the map, but perhaps don’t want to deal with a full-blown Sentinel invasion, then this option has you covered!

HERO MODE: Nebula is a high-tech assassin with one of the most impressive sniper skills in the game. She’s a valuable complement to any team, giving them support from long range with powerful and surgical sniper attacks. And if zombies still manage to close the distance and
Nebula Hero get to her, her cybernetic body’s self-repair capabilities come in quite handy.
ZOMBIE MODE: Nebula puts the players on the defensive with deadly long-range attacks. And Zombie Heroes should probably keep that distance, as her cybernetic body may overload and explode when eliminated.

Zombie Mode: You might not think that zombies should specialize in long-range combat, and typically you’d be correct. But some habits die hard and Nebula still focuses on that method of taking down her foes. Luckily, she has some new tactics she can employ, such as gaining
Nebula Zombie additional move and devour actions upon successfully taking down targets at range.
Hero Mode: All those fail-safes implanted in her by her father are still present and being a zombie has only made her more relentless in her pursuits. She isn’t going to wait around for Super Heroes, gaining additional bonuses when Rush cards are flipped.

HERO MODE: Making use of his teleportation powers, Nightcrawler isn't just an expert at quickly moving around the map, but also rescuing both Bystanders and other Super Heroes in need! Combine this with his impressive skills with the rapier and you have a quick, hard-hitting
Nightcrawler Hero addition to any team!
ZOMBIE MODE: Appearing where he is least expected, Nightcrawler can quickly BAMF from target to target, even during a single Activation!

ZOMBIE MODE: BAMF! Usually that's a sound that signals rescue… Not so when the one appearing happens to be a zombie! Capable of quickly teleporting to grab a quick bite, seldom will Nightcrawler find himself in a situation he can't get out of, or a Bystander he can't hunt
Nightcrawler Zombie down!
HERO MODE: The mobility that BAMF offers is great, but one of its greatest strengths is bypassing the defenses of his foes to strike where they least suspect it. In this case, delivering a well-placed bite!

Nova Hero Hero Mode: Holder of the Nova Force, Nova is a potent fighter in his own right that also carries the unique ability to imbue the rest of his team with additional Power. If you want a strong fighter but also enjoy granting some boons to your allies, then Nova more than fits the bill!
Zombie Mode: As mentioned above, Nova is the vessel of the Nova Force, and this makes him one of the toughest Super Heroes in the game to take down. Worse, he can also launch devastating Nova Blasts from range, so be prepared when plotting to take him down!

Nova Zombie ZOMBIE MODE: Channeling the power of the Xandarian Worldmind, Nova’s helmet allows him to predict the actions of those around him. Combined with the enhanced strength, speed, and stamina it affords him, it makes Nova a devastating foe to any Super Hero.
HERO MODE: Still one of the toughest foes you can face, Nova also gains additional movement actions when specific Rush cards are drawn. What’s worse than a tough zombie? A fast-moving tough zombie from the Nova Corps!

Hero Mode: He might be getting up there in years, and unfortunately that also means his eyesight is going as well, but he is NOT to be underestimated. While other versions of Hawkeye make use of different arrow-types for various effects, this Hawkeye accomplishes his mission
Old Man Hawkeye Hero through raw willpower and a touch of teamwork-based effects.
Zombie Mode: This version of Hawkeye isn’t afraid to get up-close-and-personal. Whereas other versions preferred long-range tactics, this threat doesn’t mind getting personal with large groups of Zombie Heroes, striking fast and striking hard.

Hero Mode: Transported from an alternate reality, this Logan is aged, grizzled, and (arguably) more wizened than the Logan of the present. Trading in the raw berserker rage of his past self with a bit more control, this fearsome fighter can still hold his own, but now views the world
Old Man Logan Hero with a more experienced eye for tactical awareness.
Zombie Mode: Don't let his age fool you, while he had put his days of bloodshed behind him, that is no longer an option against the undead threat. He might be an old dog, but he still has new tricks, performing unique actions when certain Spawn Cards are revealed.

HERO MODE: Playing as Charles Xavier is quite a different experience. Attacking the zombies directly is not really his thing. Instead, he acts as a powerful leader and support element to the Super Hero team. Utilizing his telepathy, Professor X can save his allies from harm by
Professor X Hero identifying nearby threats, as well as boost the Power of other Super Heroes.
ZOMBIE MODE: Professor X taps into the working sections of the zombie brain, temporarily blocking the players’ ability to draw extra strength form their Hunger.

ZOMBIE MODE: The neat thing about being a telepath is that you can trap your prey and bring it to you. While pulling enemies towards you to be easily Devoured is a nice trick, the real value Professor X brings to your team is in his Skills which aid in boosting nearby allies,
Professor X Zombie granting them additional Actions as well as attack modifiers.
HERO MODE: Facing the world’s strongest telepath is already a problem. Now make them a zombie. While nearby, it will cost additional focus to make use of your Skills, meaning additional Power must be spent to activate them!

Psylocke Hero HERO MODE: Psylocke uses her psionic abilities in remarkably varied and deadly ways. Her Psionic Blade is very effective in close combat, while Psy-Blasts can strike from a distance. Her mind powers can even influence the behavior of the zombie horde to her advantage.
ZOMBIE MODE: Fighting through Psylocke’s psionic onslaught can be fundamentally debilitating. Players will suddenly find themselves deprived of their Blue-level Skill when she’s around!

Zombie Mode: Psylocke is a deadly fighter, whether wielding her Psionic Blade to cut through enemies, or firing her Psychic Bolts to automatically eliminate S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. She can use Hunger to focus her psionic energy, increasing the range and power of her Psionic Blade.
Psylocke Zombie Precognition allows to see into what will come next from the enemy deck and control its outcome.
Hero Mode: Players quickly learn to keep their distance from Psylocke, as she uses her psychic powers to keep all Super Heroes around her from gaining Power on their turn.

Quicksilver Hero HERO MODE: Gotta go fast! Quicksilver is all about getting in and out of bad situations before anyone even knows he was there. Able to ignore zombies while moving, Quicksilver also possesses Skills that let him rescue Bystanders even when surrounded by the zombie hordes!
ZOMBIE MODE: Quicksilver can move lightning fast across the board already, but in addition to basic extra movement he also gains additional Move Actions when Rush cards are flipped!

Zombie Mode: Talk about getting a quick bite. Quicksilver can dash in and out before anyone even knows he's there, performing Devour Actions on the move. While moving so fast that his rotting skin starts peeling off his body may not look great, it does help evade attacks and
Quicksilver Zombie accomplish objectives.
Hero Mode: A fast moving zombie is bad, the fastest Super Hero turned into a zombie is much worse. Quicksilver can move lightning fast across the board, giving players very little time to react to him.

Red Skull Zombie When spawned, he will make use of his unique Action deck, which dictates the special actions he will perform each time he activates.

Rhino Hero HERO MODE: Rhino is a Super Hero that will always be spearheading the attack on the zombies. He has a thick hide to protect him from common zombie attacks, and his powerful charges can either gore the Zombie Heroes or simply knock the hordes aside as he barrels through.
ZOMBIE MODE: Rhino is always ready to charge at the players. Whenever a Rush cards are drawn, he moves and rams into the Zombie Heroes.

Zombie Mode: If Rhino was tough before, becoming a zombie has made him even more resilient. By increasing his Hunger, he’s able to avoid suffering Wounds, a dangerous combination that makes him a true rampaging menace. His gore attacks are devastating, especially if he’s
Rhino Zombie able to put some momentum behind it.
Hero Mode: A rampaging undead Rhino is a terrifying sight for any Super Hero. He’s capable of sustaining massive damage before being taken down.

HERO MODE: Rocket Raccoon may be small, but he always brings out the big blasters. More than that, perhaps Rocket's best skill is the ability to think on his feet and improvise, using Power to bypass most problems. There’s no obstacle that can’t be bypassed with the judicious
Rocket Hero application of power!
ZOMBIE MODE: Rocket may seem like easy prey for the Zombie Heroes, however his presence makes S.H.I.E.L.D. Specialists even more deadly, as he equips them with weaponry to increase the range of their attacks!

Zombie Mode: Being a zombie just requires new forms of improvising, and when your primary goal is to devour all those around you, you can bet Rocket will find the most efficient way of doing so. Carrying a number of gadgets to modify his own Devour Attack, Rocket has the
Rocket Zombie solution for every problem (as long as that solution is “eat them”).
Hero Mode: Rocket sees the zombie hordes as just more spare parts for him to utilize in his crazy schemes. Rocket enhances select groups of zombies around him, so take him out quickly!

Hero Mode: Rogue is one tough lady, with punches hit true and enough strength to reduce the Toughness of the Infected she attacks. As she grows in strength, she’s able to perform extra attacks and moves. But what makes Rogue truly special is her ability to absorb the unlocked
Rogue Hero skills of nearby Super Heroes, using them as her own for that round (but depriving the original owner).
Zombie Mode: Rogue is not only tough, but she uses her mutation to drain Super Heroes of their power, preventing players from using any Skills while near her.

ZOMBIE MODE: Feeding off of people didn’t come as such a momentous change for Rogue, seeing as her powers already consisted of absorbing power from others, often with dire consequences. Now unleashing her Hunger, she takes all the power she can get her hands on. She
Rogue Zombie can make use of Bystander powers better than most other Zombie Heroes, avoiding tapping into her hunger to do so.
HERO MODE: Engaging with the zombie Rogue is incredibly debilitating, as she can drain the Power from nearby Super Heroes.

Sabretooth Hero HERO MODE: A feral berserker, Sabretooth is simple: point him towards the hordes and soon all that will be left are piles of limbs. His hand-to-hand attacks are devastating, and his hunting instincts allow him to easily close in on his prey.
ZOMBIE MODE: If you’re going to attack Sabretooth, you better bring you’re A-game, as he’ll exploit any opening you leave. Any 1 rolled to attack him means the Zombie Hero takes a Wound.

Zombie Mode: Sabretooth’s claws can easily rend most targets. He’ll often go into a frenzy, rolling additional attack dice the more sixes he rolls. His feral rage is such that enemies tend to give him a wide berth, allowing him to move unimpeded and increasing his Hunger to perform
Sabretooth Zombie extra attacks. A natural predator, Sabretooth can easily Devour most victims, and is eventually able to freely gain new Infected Traits every round.
Hero Mode: Sabretooth is a vicious enemy to face. If he ever suffers an attack that fails to eliminate him, he wounds the attacking player.

Hero Mode: By manipulating his body made of sand, Sandman is in possession of a wide array of abilities. From devastating sandstorms that throw the zombies around, to giant fists that can knock most Zombie Heroes down. And he’s surrounded, he may avoid plenty of damage
Sandman Hero by dissipating his body in the air.
Zombie Mode: Sand gets EVERYWHERE, so Sandman’s advance can’t be blocked by walls and other obstacles. Plus, eating sand is just irritating, meaning Zombie Heroes foolish enough to Devour Sandman don’t have their Hunger lowered.

Hero Mode: Scarlet Witch can fire her Hex blast at zombies from a distance. Her probability manipulation allows her to spend Power in order to reroll all of her dice, in case her attack fails. She is even able to channel her Power to warp reality, turning Brutes and Runners into
Scarlet Witch Hero Walker. Wanda is a very valuable member of any team, able to use her Power to heal anybody’s Wounds.
Zombie Mode: Scarlet Witch’s magical manipulation of probabilities makes fighting around her very tricky. Players are forced to reroll once all successes scored on their attacks.

ZOMBIE MODE: The stronger her Hunger, the stronger her powers. And when your powers are manipulating reality and probability around you, that is an issue for any Super Heroes trying to stop you. As Scarlet Witch’s Hunger increases, so does her ability to reroll dice and even
Scarlet Witch Zombie manipulate spawns.
HERO MODE: Fighting a zombie witch with the ability to manipulate probability can only spell bad luck for the Super Heroes. Whenever she’s around, spawn points just seem to cause the worst headaches possible.

Hero Mode: Scorpion’s large mechanical tail can be used in several ways. Of course, he’s used to attacking enemies with its lethal sting, and that works just fine against zombies, and it’s also quite effective to swat the hordes aside with a powerful lashing. What Scorpion is less
Scorpion Hero used to is using his tail to rescue allies and Bystanders, though he seems willing to learn.
Zombie Mode: Players must be cautious when approaching Scorpion, as his massive tail will easily knock them around.

ZOMBIE MODE: If a meddlesome Super Hero is blocking your way, use your giant tail to bat them aside, leaving S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents and Bystanders unprotected! Scorpion knows how to choose his fights wisely, so rather than waste his time combating Super Heroes he’d much
Scorpion Zombie prefer to just get them out of the way and target the ones he really came there for…
HERO MODE: Who says villains can’t be team players? Or maybe becoming a zombie helped. In any case, the players are in trouble, as Scorpion can pin Super Heroes down with his massive tail, making them easy prey not only to him but to other zombies around!

HERO MODE: An expert martial artist, Shang-Chi can react to almost any threat that crosses him. One of his most unique skills, however, is his full control of his own nervous system, allowing him to shrug off the effects of most wounds. Of course, how long can one fight off the
Shang-Chi Hero zombie virus?
ZOMBIE MODE: Shang-Chi is a formidable opponent. Any blows from him can potentially deal additional Wounds! Be careful not to be on the receiving end of his deadly attacks!

She-Hulk Hero Hero Mode: Possessing the strength of the Hulk but able to remain in full control of herself, She-Hulk tactically uses her might to take down the enemy. She can tackle any Zombie Hero in a brawl, being almost impervious to damage, and capable of devastating punches herself.
Zombie Mode: She-Hulk is a real threat to any Zombie Hero, using extra movement and damage to make players’ lives very complicated.

She-Hulk Zombie Zombie Mode: She’s a lean, mean, green, eating machine. Even the strongest Super Heroes learn to fear She-Hulk when the Hunger takes hold of her. She lowers the enemies Toughness while Ravenous, allowing her to pummel any threat into a pulp with her deadly fists.
Hero Mode: She-Hulk rampages across the board, destroying walls and obstacles on her way to smash the Super Heroes.

Silver Surfer Hero Super Hero, he will use these effects to take down the zombie hordes, eventually unlocking the full might of the Power Cosmic to fuel himself to greater levels.

Silver Surfer Zombie As a Zombie Hero the ravenous Hunger of the World-Eater is channeled into him, giving him some of the most devastating Devour effects in the game!
Successfully making a meal of him will imbue the Zombie Heroes with a portion of the Power Cosmic, super-charging them and giving them a means of taking a bite out of the big man himself.

Hero Mode: Playing as Spider-Man shows his great agility and resourcefulness. His acrobatic attacks can take out multiple enemies and he can use Power to web-sling around, ignoring enemies while covering great distances. Later in the game, he can use his web-shooters to
Spider-Man Hero keep enemies from moving. And finally, his Spider-Sense allows him to act preemptively whenever enemies spawn nearby.
Zombie Mode: Your friendly-neighborhood Spider-Man is not so friendly when you’re a rampaging zombie. He swings in when you least expect it, spawning on top of the closest Zombie Hero. And while he may not look like the strongest Super Hero, he’s a tough nut to crack.

Hero Mode: Representing a more knowledgeable and experienced Peter Parker, this take on Spider-Man has him trading the tactical web-slinging for more of a team-leader style of play. Of course, his acrobatic and spider-based Skills are still present, but having survived years of
Spider-Man Hero encounters and villain plots has led to a more tactical, strategic Spider-Man.
Zombie Mode: Regardless of other factors, it is always known that Spider-Man must protect the innocent around him. This version accomplishes that not just by himself, but by calling in additional Super Hero reinforcements to protect Bystanders!

HERO MODE: Possessing a potent "Venom Blast" Jessica can zap any zombie foolish enough to come near her… Of course, they might not have a choice as she can also emit pheromones to attract foes to her, and zombies are not immune! Of course, should she find herself
Spider-Woman Hero temporarily overwhelmed, she can also make use of her special gliding membranes to make a quick getaway!
ZOMBIE MODE: Nearby Zombie Heroes had best beware, lest they find themselves enthralled by Spider-Woman’s controlling pheromones, quickly going Ravenous when she is around!

Star-Lord Hero Hero Mode: Star-Lord is all about teamwork, whether it be using his boosters to quickly maneuver around the map, calling a Group Huddle to strategically make a plan of attack, or just bolstering his allies via his “We Got This!” Skill.
Zombie Mode: Never one to fight alone, when Star-Lord makes an appearance he will call in the rest of the team, spawning an additional Super Hero to assist him.

ZOMBIE MODE: The weather has become consistently miserable since Storm became a zombie. She unleashes her lightning strikes with wild abandon, trying fry up her next meal. Conjuring gale-force winds, she’s able to trap and redirect her prey in order to keep feeding her
Storm Zombie awesome powers.
HERO MODE: The tornadoes she summons plunge the board into chaos, as both Super Heroes and zombies find themselves being thrown around as Storm approaches.

HERO MODE: Combining the powers of the Fantastic 4, Super-Skrull is tough, agile, and brings plenty of tricks to the table. He uses his sharp combatant’s mind to put his various powers to their best use. Swarming zombie mobs don’t deal very well with fire, and a solid rock punch
Super-Skrull Hero is usually more than enough to deal with them.
ZOMBIE MODE: The Zombie Heroes will need contend with a versatile for in the Super-Skrull. He can attack at range with his stretchy limbs. Players need to make sure they’re up to the challenge, as any attack that fails to eliminate him result in a wounded Zombie Hero.
Zombie Mode: Imbued with the powers of the Fantastic 4, the Super-Skrull now uses those combined abilities to devour his enemies. A clobbering rock-like punch to knock out Super Heroes, invisibility to evade attacks, fire to keep enemies at bay, and stretchy hands to bring his

The Thing Hero Hero Mode: It's clobberin' time! And Ben Grimm certainly packs a punch that will rock any zombie’s world. Strong and durable, The Thing is the heavy hitter of the Fantastic 4, so get him inside the hordes and show them what-for!
Zombie Mode: Zombie Heroes quickly learn that attacking The Thing is often a futile gesture. Not only is he incredibly tough, but even if eliminated there’s a chance he’ll just shake it off.

Zombie Mode: Its clobberin' time… Nah, it's chompin' time! The Thing’s appetite is as great as his bulk, and he reacts to SHIELD attacks with one answer: Lunch time. If he's attacked, he can counter with a free Devour attack. Paired with his undead toughness, it makes The Thing

Hero Mode: Wielding Mjolnir gives the player powerful attacks, which can be boosted by spending Power in order to throw the hammer over great distances. As a defender of the realm, Thor can charge forward like a bolt of lightning, striking where he lands. Once he is graced by
Thor Hero the might of the All-Father, Thor is constantly charged with extra Power, which can charge his attacks with twice the strength.
Zombie Mode: Facing a god is never a good idea, and Thor proves why that’s so. His hammer attacks deal 2 Wounds each, and his incredibly high Toughness means players will need to create powerful combos to take him down.

ZOMBIE MODE: While no longer worthy of lifting Mjolnir, Thor still possesses his legendary strength and durability. Unlike his living counterpart, which could make use of his mighty hammer to perform attacks at range, the now-zombie Thor merely uses his brute strength to bring
Thor Zombie down the tastiest meals of all: Super Heroes!
HERO MODE: Being undead has done nothing to lessen the power of the God of Thunder, who combines brute strength with some of the highest Toughness in the game, ensuring that only the most powerful attacks can finally bring him down.

Hero Mode: Venom might share the zombies’ appetite for devouring people, but he’s not keen on joining the ranks of the undead. Venom's symbiote brings a number of unique advantages to the table, such as autonomous actions when it senses danger, incredible resilience, and
Venom Hero vicious attacks.
Zombie Mode: If his host is eliminated, the symbiote latches onto the attacking Zombie Hero, permanently taking up their Bystander slot, but granting the player bonus dice to their Attacks.

ZOMBIE MODE: With Eddie Brock turned into a zombie, him and the symbiote are finally on the same page, and Venom can devour people with wild abandon. Able to use his "webbing" to snare foes, Venom also retains a degree of control while Ravenous since his symbiote isn't

Vulture Hero powerful, like Brutes and Zombie Heroes) but also allies (who we want to assume help out willingly). All of this used to fuel his aerial maneuvers and hard-hitting attacks!
ZOMBIE MODE: Some habits are hard to kill. When Vulture activates, he can sap the energy of nearby SHIELD Agents to gain additional bonuses against the players. All for the greater good, right?

ZOMBIE MODE: Hitting a tiny darting target like Wasp is a feat for even the most skilled Zombie Hero. When attacking her, only very high rolls count as Hits against her, no matter what your attack stats are.

Wasp Zombie her to zip around quickly, moving several zones at once while ignoring enemies. She may be small, but her appetite is huge, getting free actions to Devour S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, eliminating them automatically.

HERO MODE: Going toe-to-toe with the Winter Soldier is a dangerous proposition as he’s capable of countering most melee attacks with a deadly bite.

Wolverine Hero attacks when an Infected enters his zone, and his Regeneration fully heals him every round.
Zombie Mode: Wolverine will just keep on coming. If eliminated, he is laid down on the board. Unless he’s Devoured right away, he’ll stand back at the end of the round and resume the hunt.

ZOMBIE MODE: While Logan may have lost most of his healing factor when turned into a zombie, it has been replaced with a raw desire to consume all those around him, fueling his berserker rage to even greater levels. He’s able to channel his Hunger into becoming one of the
Wolverine Zombie most brutal killing machines ever seen, slicing, dicing, and biting at anything in front of him.
HERO MODE: Wolverine is one of the deadliest zombies out there. When specific Spawn Cards are drawn he can enter into a berserker rage that should send Super Heroes fleeing for their lives.
