Key Housing Agencies in the Philippines

1. HUDCC -Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council

The Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), which provides input to the
President of the Philippines, is in charge of coordinating the actions of government housing agencies in
order to ensure that the National Shelter Program is accomplished.
2. HLURB -Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board
The Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) is a governmental agency tasked with assisting
local governments in creating and implementing comprehensive land use plans (CLUPs), along with
regulating housing, land use development, and homeowners' associations.
3. HIGC -Home Insurance and Guaranty Corporation
The company's name was changed to Home Guaranty Corporation from Home Insurance and Guaranty
Corporation (HIGC)
The Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council supervises the Home Guaranty Company
(HGC), which is a government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) (HUDCC). By providing risk
covers and fiscal incentives to housing credits granted by developers, banks, and other financing
institutions, the HGC reduces the risk of private investment in housing. The more HGC guarantees there
are, the more private funding for housing and urban development flows in.
4. NHA -National Housing Authority
A successful organization that is at the forefront of providing complete and well-planned human
settlements for the homeless, disadvantaged, and low-income families, therefore enhancing their quality
of life.
5. HDMF - Home Development Mutual Fund
The Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), also known as the Pag-IBIG Fund, was created in
response to the need for a national savings program and affordable housing finance for Filipino workers.
6. NHMFC - National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation
The National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) complies with the Data Privacy Act of
2012 to safeguard its borrowers, staff, and other data subjects' fundamental human right to privacy and
communication.
7. GSIS - Government Service Insurance System
In exchange for their monthly premium contributions, it covers its members against the occurrence of
specified events. Members of the GSIS are eligible for a variety of social security benefits, including life
insurance, separation or retirement payments, and disability benefits.
8. DHSUD -Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development
DHSUD focuses on providing all Filipinos with access to good, affordable, resilient, and sustainable
housing communities as the primary and major planning and policy-making, regulatory, program
coordinating, and performance monitoring organization for all housing, human settlement, and urban
development.
9. NEDA -The National Economic and Development Authority
The NEDA is the country's principal planning and policy-coordinating agency for social and economic
development. It is primarily responsible for developing ongoing, coordinated, and fully integrated social
and economic policies, plans, and programs.
10. PAGIBIG - Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan
PAGIBIG equally share economic possibilities produced by housing creation across the country and, in
the process, to promote economic stability. To give Local Government Units (LGUs) the option to
comply with R.A. 7279 through locating and securing land for social housing.
