1 Software Requirements
This version of IEC_Browser is executable with:
- Windows 2000
- Windows XP
- Windows XP Embedded
- Windows VISTA
- Windows 7
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows Server 2008

As a prerequisite, “Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 client profile” or higher must be installed.

If SICAM PAS V7 is installed, a suitable .NET version is already installed.

If .NET 3.5 is not yet installed, “dotnetfx35setup.exe” can be obtained online from Microsoft; from this setup,
only the components actually required will be loaded via Internet.

If no online connection is available, the “DotNetFx35Client.exe” offline setup can be obtained from Microsoft.
This setup is also stored on the SICAM PAS CD.

This IEC_Browser version is compatible with:

- IEC61850 Part 8, OSI Transport via TCPIP
- IEC61850 Part 8 Edition2, OSI Transport via TCPIP
- SICAM PAS V5, V6, V7
- DIGSI 4.x

2 Installation
• Make sure that you have administrator rights.
• The installation must be performed from a local drive; network paths are subject to restrictions.
• If the “setup.exe” file is zipped, unzip this file together with all the other files, including the subfolders, to
a local directory.
• Double-click the “setup.exe” file in order to start it. The installation routine starts.
• Follow the instructions of the installation routine.

A restart of the computer is not required.
