Modeling
1.
What
is
Data
Modeling?
Data
Model
is
collection
of
conceptual
tools
for
describing
data,
data
relationships,
data
semantics
and
consistency
constraints.
Data
Modeling
is
a
process
of
formulating
data
in
an
information
system
in
a
particular
structure
so
that
it
can
help
in
easy
reporting
in
future.
It
helps
in
analyzing
data
that
will
further
help
in
meeting
business
requirements.
The
process
of
data
modeling
requires
data
modelers
who
work
meticulously
with
stakeholders
and
prospective
users
of
an
information
system.
Data
modeling
process
ends
with
creation
of
a
data
model
that
supports
the
business
information
system
infrastructure.
Data
modeling
is
a
set

activity
and
techniques
involved
in
understanding

an
organization
and

organization
to
achieve
its
objectives.
It
bridges
the
gaps
in
between
technical
and
functional
areas.
1.1. Different
Types
of
Data
Model
The
three
levels
of
data
modeling:
• Conceptual
Data
Model:
Describes
What
the
system
contains
-‐-‐-‐
Or
-‐-‐-‐
Business
Oriented
(Entities,
Attributes
and
Relation)
• Logical
Data
Model:
Describes
How
the
system
will
be
implemented,
regardless
of
the
DBMS
-‐-‐-‐
Or
-‐-‐-‐
Elaborate
ideal
of
all
kinds
of
data
that
we
are
about
to
capture.
(Tables,
Columns,
etc.)
• Physical
Data
Model:
Describes
How
the
system
will
be
implemented
using
specific
DBMS
-‐-‐-‐
OR
-‐-‐-‐
How
to
implement
a
data
model?
(Tables,
CRUD
Operations,
