Little House of Prairie and Free for Talk Assignments

Setting: Where and when the story took place

The story takes place in a very populated city called Wisconsin, where a family wanted

to change their course and decided to go live in an Indian territory, that is, they would

travel to the West leaving their city of origin.

Characters: The personages of the story

The characters in the story were Caroline, Mary, Laura, Baby Carrie, the pets that the

family had were Pet, Patty, Jack. Relatives of the family were Mr. Scott and his wife.

Plot: Describe Problem and Solution

All the settlers along the creek were sick so the whole family was also sick, they all fell

ill both Charles, Mary and Laura as their mother, but one day Mrs. Scott came and tried

to help them until they all recovered, first She helped one of Charles's daughters, which

was Laura, she gradually regained strength until she felt completely better. After that

came Dr. Tan who took care of all the sick, and the family recovered. In the end it was

discovered that the disease from which all the settlers fell ill was called malaria and the

cause of that disease was mosquitoes.

Some time later the government ordered to evict the white settlers since that territory

belonged to the Indians, so the family decided to leave, leaving everything they had built

behind.

Climax: The most Important part of the story

In my opinion, the most important part of the story and the part that I liked the most was

when the Christmas season arrived, and the girls, that is Mary and Laura, were looking

forward to and with so much emotion for the arrival of Christmas as they were waiting

for the gifts from Santa Claus, but at the same time they felt very sad since for them it

was a very different Christmas than usual, a Christmas in another place of origin and in

that place there was a large stream and the water was very high. All this changed with the

arrival of Mr. Edwards who brought gifts for the girls and they were very excited with his

gifts, the girls' parents were very grateful to Mr. Edwards for what they thanked him and

also gave him hot drinks, cakes and others, everyone was very happy and satisfied.

Message: What did you learn from the story?

What I learned from history is that one does not always have an assured destiny,

everything that seems true does not always turn out as one imagines, everything can

change at the last moment when one least imagines it.

Free for Talk

In my experience, the Free4talk application is very good to dialogue and practice our

speech more. I spoke with a boy and I asked him the questions like: the city or town in

which he lives, places, parks or the outdoor activities that he does.

His answers were: He lives in Chennai, a city in India, he is 27 years old and the activities

he likes to do the most is excursions, he has gone 8 days by motorcycle from Chennai to

Coromandel Coast, he has also visited many parks but the park he likes the most it's called

Chetpet EcoPark

Finally he also asked me several questions about the traditions of my country and

activities that we do most and we said goodbye.
