VISUAL TECHNOLOGY III – FINALS FEB 2022

PART 1:
Identify and discuss in your own words the different elements of
visual technology and fundamentals of graphic design.
(50 points)

As far as I remember, the elements of visual technology and fundamentals of graphic

design is the position, size, color, shape, orientation, contrast, repetition, proximity,
alignment, hierarchy, grouping, and sequence of the certain subject/s in a visual
presentation. Position is where it is placed, size is the dimension, color portrays the mood,
shape is the form, orientation is the direction of the relative position, contrast is the
difference of two or more subject in a visual presentation, repetition is the state of being
repetitive of a certain visual presentation, proximity is the distance between the subjects in
a visual presentation, alignment from the word itself which is the arrangement of the
subject in a straight line, hierarchy is the arrangement according to a certain conditions,
grouping from the word itself which is grouping the subject depending on the conditions,
sequence is the order of the subjects depending on the conditions. Visual technology and
fundamentals of graphic design is important because it molds the perspective of the person
about your visual presentation, it also helps to capture the audience’s attention towards the
presentation through visual aesthetics etc.

PART 2:
Among all the activities (individual and collaborative works)
which of these did you enjoyed the most and why? Discuss the
individual activity and collab works separately.

I enjoyed all the activities, but the one that stamped in to my heart is the “A Very Peri
Christmas Story” where we presented the moments we have during Christmas, I saw the
special moments in the perspective of my block mates on how they celebrate the most
important day in a year, I saw the smiles, tears of joy, and the love in their presentation
which makes us more closer to each other, I want to give thanks to our professor for giving
this wonderful and lovely activity which makes my Christmas more memorable.
PART 3:
What are your learnings on the subject which you think you can
apply in real life? Discuss (20 points)

I learned a lot specially in editing videos and pictures for a better visual
presentation, a good visual presentation makes a mark in your audience heart which
reminds them of the certain moments. I used the things I learned from the subject in
certain occasion such as designing a Christmas background for the celebration of our
family Christmas party stage photo booth, editing videos captured during special
moments in my family’s Christmas celebration. I would like to give thanks to my
professor for teaching this subject which drastically increased my knowledge towards
presenting a high quality visual presentation.
