Plasma Membrane

- It's the line that divides the living cell from the rest of the world. This shields the cell and
controls the flow of chemicals in and out.  It also provides a fixed environment inside the
cell.
- Also a line that divides our property from the rest of the land. It provides a fixed
environment in the property where structures could stand and limits the access of strangers or
animals from intruding in.
Nucleus or Nucleoid
- It controls and regulates the activities of the cell and carries the genes, structures
that contain the hereditary information.
- I contains the humans which controls and maintains the property and its structures
Cytoplasm
- Covers everything and is the area where materials are synthesized and degraded. This is also the
location where the various organelles are suspended. . It provides a platform upon which
other organelles can operate within the cell.
- It provides a platform upon which the structures could stand and operate.
Endoplasmic reticulum
- - Produces an enormous variety of molecules like protein for the rest of the cell to
function; is composed of smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER)
- Source of water for the rest of the household to use and is connected to the water pump and
the plumbing system
Golgi Apparatus
- works in partnership with the ER; Refines, stores, and distributes the products of cells. named
after Camillo Golgi
- works in partnersip with the well; it refines and distributes the water throughout the house
Lysosomes
- a membrane-enclosed sac which contains digestive enzymes. They break down
excess or worn-out cell parts and responses against foreign substances such as
bacteria, viruses and other antigens
- Responses against strangers and rodents that may invade the property or house
Vacuoles
- for storage of water & food or for excretion of waste materials
- contains water for storage
- collects excreta and wastewater until its reduced and decomposes
- is where lumber is cut, organized, and stored
Ribosomes
- these creates proteins needed for repairing damage or for chemical process
- Mother & Father-creates the food needed to replenish the family’s energy
- Trees and plants – produces oxygen and consumable food for the humans in the property to
consume. Some can be also used as medicine for remedy.
Cytoskeleton
- gives a cell its shape, offers support, and facilitates movement
- Cement foundations- supports the crosswire fence throughout the property
Plasma Membrane
- The plasma membrane’s structure lies all around the cell like a candy wrapper and is what
covers, protects, and separates the cell from outer forces. It allows the entry of nutrients into
the cell and the transportation of toxic materials out of the cell.
Nucleus & Nucleoid
- The nucleus is a membrane-bound organelle found in eukaryotic cells and has fixed spherical
structure whereas the nucleoid is found in prokaryotic cells, has no fixed structure and is
unevenly shaped. They hold DNA or hereditary information and are responsible for controlling
the activity and reproduction of the cell.
Cytoplasm
- Cytoplasm is a gel-like fluid that covers everything within the cell and provides a platform unto
which other organelles could operate. It is the area where materials are synthesized and
degraded.
Endoplasmic reticulum
- The endoplasmic reticulum is composed of rough and smooth reticulum. Rough ER is considered
rough because of the presence of ribosomes in contrary to the smooth ER which lacks
ribosomes. The rough ER produces an enormous variety of molecules like protein for the rest of
the cell to function meanwhile the smooth ER is responsible for the synthesis and storage of
lipids.
Golgi apparatus
- The Golgi apparatus has a folded ham like appearance that is made up of a series of flattened
stacked pouches called cisternae. It is responsible for refining, storing, and distributing cell
products like proteins and lipids that it receives from the ER.
Lysosomes
- Lysosomes are membrane closed sacs shaped like spheres containing digestive enzymes that
help break down excess or worn-out. They respond against foreign substances such as bacteria,
viruses and other antigens.
Vacuoles
- Vacuole is a membrane bound organelle shaped like sphere and is filled with fluid and
molecules. It is responsible for storage of food and water or for excretion of waste materials.
Mitochondria
- Mitochondria is a membrane bound organelle shaped like an oblong and has an intermembrane
space between them which leaves a shape like that of a mustard and ketchup on top of a
hotdog. It is considered as the power house of the cell and produces energy known as adenosine
triphosphate.
Ribosomes
- Ribosomes are organelles that appear flattened and spherical in shape and creates proteins
needed for repairing damage or chemical processes
Cytoskeleton
- Are bone like structures inside the cell that helps gives a cell its shape, offers support, and
facilitates movement.
Centrioles
- Centrioles are tube like structures that helps in cell division or mitosis in animal cells
Cell wall
- The cell wall is an outer protective membrane which covers the plasma membrane and is
typically seen in plant cells.
