The Ajinomoto Malaysia Company Information

1. Logo of the Company

- The logo meaning is from the word “Ajinomoto” is the “Essence of Umami,” which
has been evolved from its literal meaning the “Essence of Taste”. It is from
combining the infinity symbol with the letter “A” incorporates three ambitions: the
investigation, mastery and spread of “taste (Aji)”; the evolution and development of
the value of “Amino acids” with leading-edge bioscience and fine chemical
technologies; and the promotion of global sustainability. The line flowing from “A” to
“j” depicts a person, suggesting people Joined together and taking Joy in the
cooking, eating and comfortable lifestyles provided by the taste (Aji) and Amino
acids. The line extending from the bottom of "j" upward to the right expresses the
growth and development of the Ajinomoto Group into the future.

2. Company status: Public listed / Multinational

- The status of the company is multinational. It is because the Ajinomoto


company in Malaysia are one of the branches company of the head company
of Ajinomoto itself which is from Japan.

3. Establishment date

- The Ajinomoto Co., Inc. was created in 1908 as a subsidiary of Suzuki


Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which was founded in May 1907 by Saburosuke
Suzuki II and Dr. Kikunae Ikeda. The launched of AJI-NO-MOTO in Japan is
on 20th May 1909. Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Bhd (AMB) was established in 1961 as
a subsidiary of its Japanese parent company. The company produces
Monosodium glutamate (MSG), stock seasoning, sweetener, ready mix
seasoning and industrial seasoning.

people worldwide, unlocking the power of amino acids to resolve the food and
health issues associated with dietary habits and aging.
